Now ladies, I got a new 2002 Honda CRV in red. It has a camel interior and it is quite beautiful. I love the CRV. The new one is a lot wider and longer than my old one. They have made many improvements to it - all to the good. NOW! if I could just drive it. I did take it out on the highway for a LITTLE spin and it rides so nice.

Swelling in the arm has gone way down. Just still really quite swollen around the elbow. See what the Dr. says on Tuesday. I think I will have to start all over again at ww. I haven't been able to do any exercise. Somedays I think I should just get my jaw wired shut:lol:

Anne-my daughter got her new Honda CRV yesterday!!!!Loves it. Nervous about getting it scratched. Ally-take it from me -You HAVE to make your expectations known!!!!!I wanted a ring from my husband -never told him and didn't get it until I told him. Brad-I told him I didn't want a ring but I have a cross with 11 diamonds-I didn't tell him that but I sort of knew I would get something with diamonds. We went to a railroad museum yesterday and then we went into a needlework show-Today we are going to my church this morning and a Baptist service tonight. At 63, I am glad it's so easy-too old to go through all that stuff again. I also dated someone that I did everything he wanted-ended up breaking up with him-I didn't think that relationship could be saved-it was too one sided. Anyhow-he was 13 years older. Ally.. I bet if you lost an inch in the waist you lost it in the behind too.. I think walking is the best exercise of all. I can't do the impact exercises anymore.

Hi guys!!!!Had a great day yesterday and spent 1/2 of it in church!!!!Weather is warm but cloudy, sort of different than last year when it was sunny every day. Brad is feeling much better. How are you feeling, Anne. I am still achy but have been eating stuff I'm allergic too. But we went to an Italian place for lunch-awesome!!!Ate the rest for dinner. Meme.. I take Advil because it is all that is around. I don't like to take anything addicting . I also have a stomach that screams when I take too much medication. I am limited and can't take any of the arthritic drugs anymore.

I have to go to the Dr. today. I think he is going to try and put me back on colesterol medication. I am not going to take it. It should get interesting in his office. Joanne-I think the cholesterol med is the way to go. If your ch. is high after all that walking, you need it. I was on it and I got pains but if mine goes back up, they will try a new one. Brad is on one and he's fine. He is helping my son with the remodeling of his house-installing the ice machine in the new fridge. Alison will be happy because she can get water from sitting in her chair. It's nice here-too cool for the beach. Hope we can go Friday. Tomorrow night we are going to play cards with friends next door and from back home. We were sitting at the pool talking 2 years ago and found out we lived right near each other at home. How are you Happy. Hey Meme, I'm 63 years old and worked 34 years bringing up 3 kids mostly by myself so I don't feel too guilty with my leisure. But I still like to work and keep busy. I don't get to care for grandchildren at home but soon I will have a house again but someone to help me with it. I just did a bunch of housework-that should keep til my daughter comes down. Well, I went to the chiro yesterday and he said the alignment was holding. Today my lower back is really sore, so it must have come unaligned. I have to go back and see him on Friday again. Went to the Dr. this morning. He did not x-ray it as it is still swollen and he believes it is some kind of Bursitis. I can't remember the name he called it, but due to the accident. My neck still hurts when I turn it certain ways and it is kind of weak right now. Anyway, he asked if I wanted to go to physio or to the chiro and I have chosen the chiro. Physio has NEVER, EVER, worked for me. He also thinks that the accident is responsible for the hip pain I am having right now.

Ally - hope you enjoying your new found romance. I hope it works out for you, if that is what you want.

Mima - hope the weather gets nice and warm so you can go to the beach. That weather is still a few months away from here, although it is around 50 above and that is wonderful. Good thing Brad has something to occupy his time. My hubby would be awful with nothing to do. He is a bad holidayer.

Meme - Hope you finally got feeling better. How did the singing go the other day or was that over a whole week ago:o I hope Ross is doing better. The picture you posted of the kids was great. To bad you cut off grandpa:lol:

Now, I am not sure, but I think I have GAINED weight. I have not changed my eating really, but I have been taking a few pain meds, and I think it is fluid retention. I sure hope so. I won't go to ww until next week, as I should be able to drive by then.

I think I might be losing a little angst weight....got way too much stress going on...
exhubby needs back surgery on Friday and he has no one to rely on but me. Today he called me at work and asked if I would be his POA.... I said "do you think you are going to be in a coma for a year???" I should NOT be taking on this responsibility but he really does not have a clue and he has no one else. He is my clingon.
Remember the guy who went back to his wife? He wants to go out for lunch. Things aren't working out.
The old boyfriend? He wants to have his cake and eat it too. Don't all men? I am just sitting around checking out all my options. Don't want anyone right now.

Whew...an X with a bad back, a guy with a bad marriage and another one with cake on his face...what a delima! (And on top of all that...twin teens...all of a sudden my grandchildren are looking pretty good!!!)

Anne...I REALLY like the car...but...like I said...I love my VAN!!! ;) Sorry you are in pain...hope the doctors can help!

Well...tonight was the last of the singing engagements for a while...I'm relieved...didn't forget any words and actually hit all the high notes! (The Karaoke Machine I bought last week helped with that...I was able to lower the music a little.) Hope everybody has a great Valentines...our Banquet was tonight...that's what I sang at. We had a good time. I have to work on Thursday night so hubby is taking me out Friday night instead.

Anyone watching the Olympics??????????????? The Canadian's got robbed of a gold medal! So much we don't know that goes on! I loved their outfits in the opening ceremonies!

I have been reverse banking the last 3 days to cover some cookie crumbs I ate!....oh no. .....I just baked some more (for the boys for Valentine's Day) and ate some more but I think I have the points covered! Baking .....so hard not to sample anything:nono:

Hey Meme, if I'm defending my leisure, I must feel guilty about it. I always want to feel like I'm contributing something but I guess helping my son out does that. Now that they have their kitchen ripped out, they might be coming to eat sometimes. Getting stuffy, hope it's not Brad's cold. We are going to the Edison-Ford estates this morning after I go to church for Ash Wed. This will be yhe 3rd time for me but I know Brad will like it and we are playing cards tonight. My friend next door lost 9 lbs the first week of WW. My other friend with the pulmonary hypertension is also going. I have stayed at goal!!!Yikes!!!My fibro is BAD. Can't swim-too cold. Need a massage. And the chiro. Remeber you don't have to be with someone to feel the love for Valentine's Day-Look for it in small children with their valentines. Hey everybody-- The Dr. didn't put me on anything for col. He said he would ,after I told him I didn't want it ,if he decided I needed it.:p My col.is up a little. I stopped taking zocor 3 months ago when I was having so much pain .The leg cramps were from he--.Now I feel good for a change..
Nice car Happy.. We are driving a 11 year old car. My hubby loves it and will untill it won't go another mile.

Joanne...if nothing happens to it, I will probably be driving my van for the next 20 years...getting hubby to buy a new car (or even almost new) is like pulling teeth! His motto is if it's not broke don't fix it...or in this case...don't replace it! :p

I have two kids this afternoon...ages 4 and 5...I'm really tired of kids. I need another break...Christmas didn't last long enough!!! :(

I really sold quite a bit of Avon this campaign...I'm not much of a salesperson so I really didn't figure I'd do very good. But...Avon is so good it sells itself...all I have to do is hand out books! I had been buying mine from some woman over the internet and paying shipping but now I'm making enough selling it to get mine free...and then some! We use a LOT of lotions and I love the Anew products.

Meme- I like your heart. I know what you mean about kids. I used to take care of my G/children. They are now grown and my son is not married and has no children. I wish that he was and had a couple. It may not happen.

Well, it was so nice of Brad to share his virus!!!I guess that's one of the minuses of being together all the time. Anyhow, I'm not as sick as he was-just wicked achy-always do from the fibro and low energy but he went to Mike's to help so I can rest. And he helped with dinner-don't want him too spoiled. Haven't got my valentine yet but I think it will be flowers. Anyhow Joanne, I know what you mean about the ch. busters-had pains. Brad takes it and it doesn't bother him. It's rainy today-we went to the Edison-Ford estates yesterday-really nice even though I went last year. Then I started to feel like a truck ran over me. Hi. I finally got to drive the car yesterday, and it is so nice to drive. I went and got my hair done . Boy, it lost is edge a couple of weeks back, and my plan had been to go the first week of February, so I was having to do to much messing with it. I hate that. I like to just wash it, and blow it dry and that takes me about 15 minutes. I have such thick hair, that when it is longer it takes forever and it never is dry with just the hairblower.

I am hurting so badly this morning again! I have an appointment with the chiro, so I hope he can do something. I haven't slept for the past 3 nights, as I have a pain in my hip that was never there before. The thing throbs all night long. Then my elbow goes right along with it. It seems that since a lot of the swelling has gone, except right around the elbow, it is more sore than before. I guess now, it has nothing to buffer the elbow. Do you know how many times a day you use that elbow? Anyway, I have reached my limit of taking pain meds! My stomach was starting to do its thing again, and was gnawing on itself. That is exactly how I gained this stupid weight to begin with:( So I will have to go it alone.

I will start back on ww today. I wanted to start on Wednesday, but it was one of those exhaustion days, and I craved sugar straight out. Had to get some groceries and I dragged myself along. Took everything I had just to get home. Hubby took me, and then he looked after putting everything away. I did buy, and eat 2 chocolate bars, and I could literally feel the energy returning. Yesterday, I was pretty good, but today, I will be perfect! I am back at it! Haven't gained anything, in fact, my scale shows I lost 2 pounds, but I don't know if I can believe it or not. I will be happy to have remained where I was. As Meme says, why can't we stop eating when we have pain, instead of the other way around. Seems the body wants food when in pain.

Anyway, I have to run, or I will miss my appt. Hope you all had a Great valentines day. Ally, which one did you go out with? Soon you will have to draw straws:lol:

Hi guys-Happy, wasn't that great about the Canadians getting their well deserved medal. !!We went to the beach yesterday-really nice, and tonight we are going to the Edison light parade!A must every year. We get tickets for the stadium so we can see all the performances. Brad wanted beet greens last night so I ate some -deliscious-no pts. but.......big time stomache ache for me-that and spinach. Hi Guys..... I am SICK of being a wife again. Hubby had surgery yesterday. My kids had the flu so bad. Hospitals in NY are full to the brim with Flu victims. Hubby had to spend the nite in recovery. Had to drive back up there today (city hospital is about an hour away..all city driving). It is so wierd to be in touch with his side of the family. SOme I liked, most really liked me a lot...but I distanced myself after we split up. I have had to call other relatives and get calls back. I don't like this one little bit.
I am just so stressed out. I am used to Saturday being my day alone and I have both kids. I just sent them out..anywhere. Go.
I am sick of men right this minute. I had no Valentine...all my men are not really mine.
I do have a pair of jeans on that I couldn't wear for a while. I should get on the scale, but prefer to just assume I have lost a ton.
Joanne....bite your tongue. I will never ever get back with hubby. He talked to ME in the hospital today cause my boys were too busy picking on each other. I was staring at him thinking....Gee, you're old.

Oh Ally, that does not sound like fun. When my ex-husband died 2 yearrs ago-the one I was married to before my other husband who is also dead--I went through all the funeral things with my kids and it was difficult but I survived-I used to go to the hospital to see him also-I had no feelings for him but I did it as a person. And for my kids. ps.-I always tell Brad not to eat the mushrooms. Good luck Ally-it's just for today. We went to the Edison parade and also saw Hermen and the Hermits-you must know them, Anne. It was good but long. We were sitting on bleachers for 5 hours but it's a tradition to go with Alison. I am so enjoying her. Church today and beach tomorrow. What a life. Mima Hi everyone.

hey guys-are you out celebrating President's Day-I don't have to because every day is a holiday. Brad is over Mike's helping to install his floor. I'm cleaning because they are coming for dinner since they don't have a kitchen. We had such a great day yesterday-went to both churches-out to eat-watched a movie. If I had any doubts about how it would work, they are gone. And I'm gone-like a kid.!!!!Cool today but gorgeous. I need a chiro. and a masseuse!!!!Gotta go clean and go for a walk. Mima

Hi Guys. I bought myself a new pair of jeans. Size 16. They are too big!!! But I already wore them and took the tags off. Maybe they will shrink.
Exhubby will come home from the hospital tomorrow. I have had enough visits and calls to and from his family. Yesterday at the hospital I was talking to his sister and I realized she thought that we might be getting back together cause I was being so nice to him. Arghghghghghgh
Then I blew with my kids last nite. I need breaks from them....they are not fun when they are together with nothing to do.
I woke up in total pain. Stress. Don;t need this.

Hi Everybody...I just spent the weekend up at my daughters. My son-in- law gave me a full body Massager with heat. Homedics put them out. I haven't used it yet as a matter a fact no one has .. It is brand new.I will tonight . my back has been in knots and pain for a week.
Ally.. It's strange how even when you are no longer married to these guys ,you can't get rid of them. I guess the kids are the connection. Always will be. I guess he isn't married so he just dumps back into your lap. I had some 16 jeans. I took up the crotch and a little in the waist and still wear them.
Happy I am still hoping you feel better every day.Sad about the way the medal for the skaters went. It took a lot of the happiness out of it for them ,I bet.

I went to Nashville to the Rheumatologist today...that's a long trip when you feel bad. I went to the Christian Book Store first and bought a few more sound tracks, then to the Dr. at Vanderbilt and then stopped at Sam's Club on the way back and stocked up. I'm beat!!! I have a very long day tomorrow...a new student at 12 then another at 1 and one at 3 then go get Kaylyn and take her to school and pick up Ross. Back home, make dinner and start back teaching at 5 and teach until 7:30.

The Dr. said I had "Rotator Cuff Tendinitis". He told me not to use my left arm...I laughed and laughed and laughed. He said that it wouldn't get better if I kept using it. I said, I couldn't play the paino...sure couldn't teach...heck...I couldn't even go through a 'drive through' if I couldn't use my left arm. He said, get out and go in! I laughed again. He thinks I'm nuts and I KNOW he is!!!!!!! I will try to limit the use of it but I can't just STOP using my left arm...I wouldn't even be able to comb my hair!!! MEN! Besides...the right arm is getting the same thing in it...wonder if he'll want me to stop using it, too!!!!!!! :lol: I'm so sick of doctors who just sit there and talk and talk and talk about how bad you are and then not do anything to help you! They should all get Fibro for about a month..............and then let US doctor THEM!!! :s:

Meme..most doctors suck when it comes to healing people! Now if you need an antibiotic they have no problem with that! that sounds like the same probel I had with my arm 3 years ago that lead to the overuse of the elbow so watch out! I still have problems with it and they couldn't do anything for it either. PT just made it worse..I just had to limit the use of it, never soucld totally stop using it either!

I have been taking benedryl for my drainage(giving me a sore throat) and it make me so tired and I don't need that! I spent today trying on old clothes again..I have to just picth some of these they just don't look good on me anymore..getting old is the pits! Everything droops! :mad: :o :mad:

Joanne..since you sew can you take the waist band off of jeans with no problem???? (just cut it off) My sis gave me apir of tight fitting strech jeans and the waist is too tight but the butt fits great and I have seen the no waist band jeans out there???????????

Hey Candyce-I have a prescription for Allegra and it doesn't m,ake me tired. Another beautifyl day!!!We are going to hear an Elvis impersonator tonight. With a bunch of people. I only cleaned a little because Mike and Jill came over to eat. They have no kitchen.I have a hard time cooking for Mike because he went to Culinary school and he is very fussy but it turnrd out good. I guess we are going to the pool for a while today. What a life. Brad's hands are all healed from the cuts he gets at work so he says he looks like an office boy. Hey meme, I think I have tendonitis in my roatator cuff too. It hurts like it did before I had surgery but I can raise my arms and swim-which I couldn't do before. So I hope it's not torn. Hi to everyomne else. Mima

Candice- I would carefully take the waistband off.Don't cut it off, you will lose length in the crotch.(One way) Buy some denim material and make a new band the size you need. (2nd way)Get some grograin ribbon and attach as you would a waist band free skirt or pants. You will lose about an inch with this method in the crotch. Now on both methods be careful of the zipper. keep it down(open). until you have attached the bands.Good Luck!
Meme- Busy as always. It is easy for Dr.to give good advice. I would like to see some of them follow their own advice if the tables are turned. Why didn't he inject you shoulder. It would probably take care of the problem.
Candice- Try some sudafed(non drowsy).It should help you. It does me..

I tried the body massage last night .. Short time. I read where you shouldn't use them before sleep as it could delay sleep. I don't need that! I have enough problems there. So I slept on the heating pad. I guess it will take time to work it's way out...
