Yep. Lizard spit, to be precise. ;) I've heard that it helps people lose weight, as does symlin. I know several people on the diabetes forum are on it.

I have been on it for almost a year. It does an awesome job of keeping my blood glucose levels stable. As for the weight loss, it has been disappointing to me. I know for many it works great, but after an initial loss of about six pounds, I have seen no weight loss benefits from it at all. I stay on it for how well it helps with managing my diabetes.
