Auntie had an ultrasound yesterday-will call and see how she is.
I finished the quilt, washed it, and the batting inside fell apart, Took it apart and will sew new batting in today. Yikes-frustrating.
Man, my hips and knees hurt!!!!
Pastor had cataracts removed because of night blindness. I will ask the doc about it. I think i should check into the hospital and have them fix all the body parts they can. Let's see-face lift, tummy tuck, new hips, knees, ingers, eyes, stomache. . But then put me in a coma so I won't feel any pain! Hey, that's what Heaven will be like-all fixed up without Medicare. That had to be frustrating about the quilt! Maybe you and I could get a deal of 2 for 1 to get everything done at the hospital!!

Heading out in about an hour for a riverboat lunch cruise with Carol and Melissa. It's a surprise for Melissa from her daughter for her 50th b-day which was last week. She's going crazy not knowing where we are going. Yesterday I mentioned Chicago to her just to be a stinker. lol

How nice that you can go too. Quilt almost done-again. I worked on it most of the day because I zigzagged all the parts of it as one of the materials was fraying. No more quilts for a while.
Had a little disagreement with a teacher friend because I said that certain teachers should be happy they get 80% of their health insurance covered. They get 90 now. They went on strike. She said they have families to support-she is a big deal in the union so of course she is going to feel that way. Our retirement plan is not great-each year they give us a cola on the first 12,000. They might raise it to 20,000. At least the gov't gives you one on the whole thing. But we get 80% of our health care pd for.
I am very grateful for the money we get-we do so much with it. But prices are so high around us.
Jessica's graduation is tonight!
My middle brother went to see my younger brother last night-He said he got the meditation book I sent him. I need to focus on witnessing to him-when we do go.

My grandmother used to make quilts when I was a little girl. I remember the big quilting racks in her front living room. We used to play underneath them. Some of my friends were pretty big into the teacher's unions around here, and they were never satisfied with anything. Have fun at the graduation. Keep witnessing to your brother like you said.

We went to Muncie and picked up most of Tim's things today. He kept enough to get through tonight and tomorrow, and he'll be home after finals tomorrow. We leave early Sat. morning for our trip. I guess I should get the suitcases out soon, right?

Jessica got a trophy for most imoroved-that she grew through hardships. That about sums up her life so far. We all went to friendly's. I was going to pick up the check but they all ordered tons of food so I just picked up Jessica's. We had ice cream.
A miracle occurred when her father sat with the boyfriend, Steve, who is Spanish and very nice. I am sure Jessica was pleased.
We are pretty tired as we had to travel so far.

Mima, we are going to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore. I know there are other things too, but those are the biggies!!

Mima - hope you are resting up today. Hope you are feeling better as well.

Tammy - Go to Rapid City. That is nice there and so much to see. Also, Deadwood is just up the road. That is a casino town, but it is really neat to walk around in. Billy the Kid was killed there. Lots of caves in that area. We drove out to an old goldmine, and we walked through it. At the end was a waterfall, inside the cave. Neat. We went into that area about 7 years ago and it was most interesting. There is a Norwegian Church in Rapid City, and it is the MOST peaceful place I have seen. It was so quiet and so beautiful and the deer were walking outside the church. The town of Sturgis is also there and that is the place where litereally thousands of bikers go every July. Mr. Rushmore is in that area as well. Hope you have a fantastic holiday.

My back is still very sore. I have been to the chiro several times, and for massage. I really did a number on it this time round. Hopefully it will feel better soon.

Anne, we'll be in Rapid City. I hope I remember all of this so we can check it out. A friend of Bob's used to go to Sturgis every year. He had a handmade mini-motorcycle that he took up every year. He was a hit with it. Hope your back is better soon!!

I slept extra last night-felt good. Going to take one of my gfs out to eat for lunch at Jumping Jive and Java-that place is as cute as it sounds. And oh those Chai tea lattes.
Brad's sister had an 8 hour hernia operation and is in intensive care. We will go see her later today. She is very overweight and has asthma and oxygen sometimes. They can't get her off the breathing tube but I can see why.
I also feel bad for her daughter who lives with her. Young girl.
Getting ready to have kids over for Father's Day-nees to doctor up my sp. sauce. Hi Meme and Joanne. Come on-take up the slack while Tammy's gone.

Hello Everybody- Everything fine here. By the time I get on ,I am so tired I can't do much but read.. I sure can't think of anything to say that wouldn't bore you to death.. My routine is the same from day to day.
Yesterday we went out to our son's for a early Fathers Day dinner. they had a nice greek meal. The food was really rich . As good as it was ,the hubby was up most of the night sure he was going to die . I told him to take maalox and go to bed. MEN!..They are the biggist babys... I didn't get much sleep for taking his B/p,his request,he has the best B/P in town and always has, and getting him maalox..
Walked Christie as usual etc...did laundry. Worked on Bd presant for daughter . fixed the supper ,walked the dog , took a shower ,here I am. I told you I could bore you!...Joanne

Mima - Glad you had a good nights sleep. I love Chai Tea Latte's. I sure hope your hips have settled down. It's sometimes makes a person so weary, dealing with that darn pain, day in and day out.

Joanne - you are never boring. My life is the same way - it's just LIFE! I had a busy day today, as I had to go for the bone density test and a mammogram, and then got my hair cut.

I am tired tonight and I think I will just watch TV for a bit.

Well, it's nice to hear from you-My life is boring except when I stir something up like confronting Angela, my dil. Sunday, they came more than an hour later than they said, and then she didn't let Debbie stay over without an explaination. So I called her yesterday and said that when she changed her plans, to please let me know ahead. She said she never said Debbie could sleep over and I said you never said she couldn't. She also sid she told me she was going somewhere after church and i said she said they weren't. I figured it out-she tries to make everyone happy. I insisted on direct communication but I can only do my part and that is to watch out for what she says and verify it. It is so frustrating-of course, I dealt with this when the wedding was being planned and I never said anything.
I am getting ready for the marriage group Friday night-16 people. i am making kielbasa in a sweet and sour sauce, rolls, celery and cream cheese, cookies, and mint brownies. Some people came right from work.
My back is killing me-chiro tomorrow, Hope yours is better , Anne.
We have a robin sitting on our nest in the garage-on eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
