vegitarian diet helped my fibromyalgia

  • I just wanted to say that after suffering for twenty years with fibromyalgia, endometriosis, IBS and many food allergies including gluten I have found significant relief by eating a gluten-free vegetarian (vegan is best) diet AND I bought a really good water filter that also filters out fluoride. I've been vegetarian for a year now and feel great! It took about six months to really feel a difference but it works for me. I still have some stiffness and pain but I'd say I am 80% improved. I tried a high protein low carb diet for years as and felt awful. Eating high fiber, lower protein and complex carbs (no gluten) for me really made a difference for all my symptoms. I would not discount the fluoride filter either. Many people are starting to think it's not a good idea to be putting it in our water supply. Try it!
  • Congratulations I have celiac so I know how amazing it is you feel after being gluten free I also do a vegan diet but its not due to celiac disease, its due to gall bladder removal. Welcome to the board also

The vegetarian board is kind of slow moving I have found. Whole foods is a little more fast paced. I also avoid fluoride and use tom's toothpaste. My daughter does get fluoride since cd was already starting to affect her teeth slightly but that has improved greatly.
