Question regarding acceptable links

I want to be sure I am posting within the rules of this fine board. Is it acceptable to post a link to a diet book on Amazon?

As long as you do not serve to profit at all from the link (for example, it's not an amazon-affiliate link, you're not the book author, etc), it should be OK. Any post where you'd end up profiting if people clicked the link or ordered the book would fall into the category of self-promotion and would be deleted.
