A Fitday for Diabetics

My friend is following a low glycemic diet and we are having trouble finding an online food journal that tailors to this type of diet. Any recommendations?

I follow a low-carb diet, and just use FitDay. My program was set up by myself and my doctor.
You can add custom foods to FitDay (and I've done that with some foods), or adjusted the amounts in many foods in FitDay.
Is there a reason your friend doesn't like FitDay? It is a bit off (lower in some areas, higher in others, completely missing the ability to add one particular vitamin)... I would like the ability to show "effective carbs", but I can do that in my head.

You might want to take a look at Nutridiary . . . very similar to Fitday but it is good at remembering meals, so you can easily just repeat the entire meal so it's a little quicker than fitday.

Personally I just follow the CDA (Canadian Diabetes Association) guidelines and then enter the details into a self-written excel program that calculates the calories and other nutrients and subtracts fibre from carbs to give you net carbs.

I did once come across a "fitday-clone" on-line that was specially geared for diabetics, but I cannot remember the name of it. Sorry, obviously it wasn't particularly impressive. LOL
