I am feeling better today. Pain is bearable so I'm getting some things done around the house but taking it easy as I go. I did 15 minutes on the recumbent bike which actually helps with the pain.

Fatmad, Thanks for the advice. I hate taking pain meds of any kind so I do follow the rules. I'm being very careful especially for the sake of my stomach. I don't want to get the back and leg well at the expense of my stomach. I do alternate the meds Ibuprofen, naproxen and Tylenol. I am just doing the recumbent bike this week since it seems to make my back and leg feel better.

Carol Sue, I hope your DH feels better soon. They say now that fluids are fluids and don't seem to think water is all that important as long as you drink. I disagree with that because there are just so many benefits of drinking water. I've heard and read that nonsense a lot lately and I imagine your D has too. I have difficult time getting DH to drink water as well.

I didn't take any pain meds last night except for Tylenol before bed and Ibuprofen during the night because I wanted to be more alert today. I even swept and mopped my kitchen floor today and folded some clothes. I took out frozen spaghetti sauce and we will have a salad with spaghetti today for dinner.

I am going to take a quick nap before dinner. Y'all have a great day.

DH is feeling a little better. He went out today to play his lottery. H*ll and high water wouldn't stop that! I'm making scalloped potatoes which is a favorite of his. I have heard that fluid is fluid but also that caffeine can dehydrate. Because he has these kidney issues I feel he should flush his kidneys with water. I drink coffee too but also drink water. But I have faced that he feels differently about health and medical issues than I do and I wouldn't want him telling me what to do. Every time I go to the ER they tell me I'm dehydrated and put me on an IV, so it does matter. I don't think it would hurt him to drink some water.

I'm glad you're feeling better Trish. If I'm in pain I take pain meds but I make sure I don't take more than suggested. Our dentist was the one who told us you can take Tylenol along with IB, but my Cardiologist tells me not to take IB or any Nsaids.

HI everyone: 158 today. I am planning to weigh for a bit, but I won't obsess on it. Will see how my days go. DH is trying to figure out when he and Buddy will drive home, which may be later today, or tomorrow or Thursday. Thursday is the latest, because DH is also going to care for a neighbour's dog while I go to a musical theatre with them. Their dog can't be left for a long time, and is comfy here with us and Buddy.
Trish: glad you are feeling a bit better. Can you do some gentle stretches that may help? I remember once doing something to a ligament or muscle on one side of my butt, and it was a long time to heal. Stretches helped as long as I did not overdo it. I am glad the bike helps, often movement is good, but again, can't overdo it. What a drag, I hope you are better soon.
Carol: I went out singing yesterday afternoon, so that stopped my eating, and then I had a 5 hour window for me meals, and stuck to keto rather nicely. Although I did not do a urine test to be sure, I do know that I stuck to meat and veg with lots of fats. The only sugar would have been in the salad dressing, and that's minimal.

Its sunny but cool here this week. I hope the Weather Network is wrong and it gets warmer than they expect.
Have a good day.

Back up to 186.2 but it was early.

Remember when I bought those starch blockers? White Kidney Bean Extract? Well I don't really put much stock in supplements. but I thought I researched this really well. There are prescription starch blockers but I don't know what they are made from. I tried these twice and they blocked nothing. The idea is to take it 15 min before a high carb meal. When the carbs reach your stomach the extract binds to them and sweeps them through without them being absorbed. Both times my blood sugar spiked. The second time I got potty issues almost instantly. That is not listed in side effects. I may try one more time, then throw them away if they don't help. I don't really want to eat high carb on a regular basis but thought these might be acceptable to eat carbs occasionally.

DH is feeling better. We were supposed to go to the casino on Sunday but he came in while I was getting ready and said we weren't going. That's how I knew he really didn't feel well.

I am hungry again this morning but I will try not to eat til later. We need to make a trip to Wal-Mart and that usually means breakfast at Bob Evans. I want to go to Wal-Mart and get back home but he always wants breakfast and usually Goodwill. Last night I was craving broccoli so I cooked some combined with cauliflower. It hit the spot. They say no one craves broccoli. I want it again today. My body wants vegetables.

Fatmad, I don't know if there are any gentle exercises I could do or not. Kind of afraid to do anything yet. Pain is minimal today and will be walking 2 stores... Sam's and Walmart. DH wants to go to Home Depot too but I told him that I don't want to walk it so will stay in car. I am thankful the recumbent bike helps it. I've been using the heating pad during the day but DS said they told her to use ice. So don't know if I've done right using the heat or not. I used the tens machine last night. I wasn't sure it was helping until I got up this morning. Hope DH and Buddy get home soon and you enjoy the musical.

Carol Sue, This is crazy. Yesterday we weighed the same and we do today too. Definitely twins. I did a 5 hr eating window, but had lots of carbs. The bump wasn't all that bad considering I ate spaghetti and garlic toast made with MGSL bread. I understand about DH. Today is KFC day so even though it is more expensive, I will be getting the chicken tenders again.

Have a nice day everybody.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did very well walking around in Walmart. DH said he would go in at Sam's so I let him go in while I set in the car. I actually think I could have walked at Sam's and Home Depot but didn't want to take a chance of doing too much too soon. Pain has been so much better today. Eating has been good to and if I don't eat anything else tonight, my calories will be 160 calories less than I have tracked on MFP. I am showing 1015 calories so fudging some on there. And the nice thing is that this will end up being a OMAD.

Trish, I'm glad your pain is subsiding and that you didn't overdo things.

I ate a really big breakfast. Bob Evans was crowded so we went elsewhere. I ate so much that all I ate the rest of the day was vegetables.

I made a peanut butter cream pie for DH and I ate a sliver to taste it. It was good but so rich! I ended up with 988 calories and 100 carbs but I adjusted the calories to 1010 to force MFP to accept it.

I want to push to lose the next week or so because of my doctor's appointment coming up. I am doing well with taking the gout meds 3 times a week. No pain. I don't know if I want to ask him to lower the dose or if I should hold off a little longer. If he lowers it and its not enough then I'll have to ask him to increase it. I think I will hold off for now.

HI all, 157 today after OMAD yesterday. Planning to fast today although I may do OMAD again, DH is coming home later today. I did not sleep well last night.
I am going to lie down and try to get some rest.
I am glad you are doing a bit better Trish. I think the walking you are doing and the recumbent bike count as gentle exercise. Its getting up and moving and not staying on "bed rest" that is important.

Have a good day everyone.

Weight up to 186.8. DH wanted to go out for breakfast again today!! Noooo!! Right now the restaurants are getting a lot of berries so he wants the pancakes topped with berries and syrup. Too bad. I would go if he went after 10 but he wanted to go at 8 am. He ended up making scrambled eggs, bacon and sauteed mushrooms. I saved mine and ate at 11:30. 264 cals 3 carbs. So far so good. I am craving a hamburger. Not fast food. A good hamburger made with quality ground beef. I don't know if I can wait until Monday to have it, Memorial Day. This morning they were preparing them on a cooking show and I started craving. Its not a bad choice if I forgo the bun.

I slept so good last night and Fitbit agreed. It might have been because I stayed up later or the veggies I ate before bed.

Mad I hope you can get a nap before DH and Buddy come home.

My Dr appointment is June 17, so I have 3 weeks, from today to make a difference. Although I have not shown a big loss, maybe 5 lbs, I believe my A1c should improve. It was over 7 last time.

Weight stayed the same as yesterday 186.2 and that is good considering we had KFC. Eating OMAD probably contributed to that. FBG was 89. Today we will have salmon. I bought some pretty ones and we will half one and I will freeze the other one for next week. I'm glad I found a way to cook it that we like since Sam's isn't getting the cod fish I like. I only had fruit for brunch as I wasn't hungry enough to cook.

I slept but up and down to potty and I was really hurting for the families in Uvalde, TX who lost children and loved ones in that shooting. So I am going to try to get a good nap before DH gets up.

Carol Sue, Good for you waiting until you are hungry before eating breakfast. I'm trying to learn to do that too except for dinner time when I eat with DH. I think all other eating can be done as needed.

Fatmad, Hope your DH and Buddy have a safe trip home and you get a good nap.

Trish, I'm so glad you found a way to enjoy salmon. It is so healthy.

I'm watching the press conference on the school shooting. So many senseless mass shootings lately, and innocent victims. I pray for the families and the community.

Trish, I have the same issue as you do, being hungry at dinner time when you eat with DH. This is why I am working toward having a smaller breakfast. If its eaten too early then I get hungry before dinner and need to eat lunch. If I do that then I'm not hungry at 3-4 when we usually eat dinner. Its best for me to wait til. 11-12 to eat brunch, then nothing til dinner. Today I did get hungry so I ate some vegetables, but I was hungry again for dinner. We went to Bob Evans and I had a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. I ask them to omit the bacon and blue cheese and that lowers the calories a bit. I was very hungry for salad and I enjoyed it.

HI everyone: I did ok yesterday considering the poor sleep the night before. I slept over 9 hours last night. Weight staying at 157 so I am happy. I did ok with not binging (being tired affects my judgement when it comes to eating and snacking) . With Buddy here, I am going for a walk early since I have a 9 am appointment for my vocal therapy. I am happy about this starting. Today is mostly assessment, I doubt I will get much in the way of therapy but we shall see.

You are both doing ok as well with maintaining, and the losses will follow when we are ready.
My plan today is to enjoy the fish and chip supper. Tomorrow is harder because it can be difficult to fast after a high carb meal. We shall see how things go.

Have a good day and get out and enjoy the warmer weather.

Sleep was ok but not as good as Tuesday night. So far today DH has not cooked breakfast yet. I don't care if he eats but don't prepare food for me without asking.

There was an online threat made to a student and employee at our local school. This seems like a copy cat but they are heightening security and these two people are not in school today. That's the bad part of seeing news like this, it gives people ideas. The school is within 5 miles of my home.

Too early for the scale.

Fatmad, enjoy your fish and chips and hope you will not have too difficult time with your fast tomorrow. Hope your therapy goes well.

Carol Sue, hope the scale will be nice to you today. We don't have a Bob Evans here, but their salad sound really good.

Busy phone morning. DD and DS both called and even tried to call DBS, but couldn't get her. Always good to hear from DD. Tomorrow is DS & her DH anniversary so trying to see if DBS and her DH want to go out to eat to celebrate. Looks like we may go to Olive Garden. If we do this won't be a good weight loss week.

Weight this morning was 185.8 lb and FBG 93. I wanted breakfast this morning so I had eggs, bacon, toast and fruit. Cooking liver and onions for dinner.

Have a nice day everybody.

I forgot to weigh then I ate so I didn't bother. I had eggs and bacon with sauteed mushrooms, then for lunch later on I had cauliflower rice and kale. I wasn't hungry for dinner so I don't know if I will eat anything else or not. DH made French fries for himself.

Didn't do very well today because I ate outside my eating window. More of a 12 hr eating window.
