I had another excellent eating plan and total calories were 1101. And that was with eating pizza if everything on MFP counts are correct. Still hoping this will become such an eating habit for me so it will become a lifestyle.

I woke up at 5 and couldn't fall back to sleep. I made coffee then got sleepy again and went back to bed at 6 and slept until 9. And I'm still tired, but I will stay up now.

I'm glad you decided what eating plan you want to follow, Trish. I know which one I want to follow too but not sure I am in the frame of mind to follow it.

I'm trying to force myself to get dressed and go to Walmart.

___________________________

Wal-Mart wasn't too bad. I'm surprised. Its usually crowded Sunday afternoon because people are buying for the coming week but I thought it would be crowded in the morning with people shopping for the early football game. They had everything on my list. We came home and DH cooked eggs and sausage at 11:30. I had one sausage link. I am going to continue having eggs for my first meal because I like them, and I want to make sure I get the protein. I will try to make my second meal small like I did when DH was in the hospital but the timing has shifted to mid day so I can eat dinner with DH. I tend to think my dinner should be a big meal but it doesn't have to be. If I get hungry otherwise I will eat vegetables. I love vegetables but never get enough. I am in a better frame of mind this afternoon,,ready to get back to healthier eating.

I bought some graham crackers. I crush them for crust if I make cheese cake. Also I will eat one occasionally if I want a snack. I like them, but not so much that I will pig out on them. One is enough to satisfy.

We ate 3 turkey meals and its gone except for the dark meat. It was a little overcooked so I will feed it to the dog. He hasn't had any more turkey since Thanksgiving. I think he was really tired of it. There is one pumpkin pie left, a small one that was for BIL but he never came to get it. DH will probably eat it.

Amazing. We had pizza yesterday and I always gain 1 or 2 lbs so you can imagine my amazement and thrill to see that I actually lost a lb instead. Weight back down to 180.4. FBG was up to 100 but that isn't bad. I guess my body liked the homemad ham/egg/cheese mcmuffin better than it does the oatmeal. But that still is good and I think it is good to have a variety to choose from so it doesn't get boring.

DH decided he wants ham and eggs today for dinner so that is what atwe will have. That is the time of day that I eat more calories so I just may make myself a small WW friendly pancake to eat with my ham and eggs unless I decide to make a nice WWSF omlet.

Last night we were watching Huckabee and he had the guy on who started the alternative to FB MeWe. He used to work with FB. Any way one DH SIL and I joined it for free when people started talking about it but it seemed complicated to us so we stuck with FB. I looked at it today and saw where I had joined a WW group on there. The lady evidently does the green plan who started and come to find out she are one of her followers that a recipe for making WW donuts and also has youtube videos on making that recipe and others. I saved the site so I can see it. I printed out the donut recipe. DH would love them.

Carol Sue Sorry you didn't rest good. I hate when that happens to me. I hope Walmart wasn't too bad if you decided to go. I think we will probably go to the store Tuesday. I could actually go to the store myself and get it over with and take my time, but where your Hubby wants to go to casino etc, mine would never go any where and he needs to get out. Any way I hope you will feel better as the day goes along. Maybe you can get a nap if you need it.

Have a great day everybody.

I have not had pizza for a long time. I used to make it years ago when the kids were here but now DH likes it from a pizza shop. He is tired of the ones we used to get. We need to try someone new. Also, I don't like meat toppings but DH does.

Trish, I could stay home 24/7. If not for DH I would only go to the grocery store and I would not buy all the food we buy. When I lived alone my cupboards were bare. If I wanted something I had to go out to get it but once I came home from work I didnt want to go back out. When I came home from work I got ready for bed and watched tv in my nightgown til bed time. Half the time I didn't answer my phone because it was my friends wanting me to go somewhere. I have always been a home body and my mother was like that, too.

I slept a little better last night. Nose always gets dry and irritated.

We woke up to a dusting of snow, on the porch and grass, not on the road. We have not had any significant winter weather yet although it has been very cold. It seems that our furnace is running constantly. I like to see the first snowfall of the winter and love to just watch it fall but don't like to go out in it. When I was younger I loved to walk in it and hear it crunch. Now I'm afraid of falling.

DH made breakfast. Too early. I will heat it up later. Once I eat my first meal my appetite ramps up and I'm eating all day. I just discussed this with him yesterday. He thought he could change my mind. I do appreciate him cooking for me, just not this early. (9:30. I prefer 11:00 - 12:00). I want to have this empty feeling longer.

_________________________

I'm making steak for dinner. Its almost time to start cooking. I've had 768 calories so far with 31 grams of carb. But I'm very hungry. I think I need more carbs to feel full but I want to keep them lower. Maybe the steak will be more satieting.

I got on the scale finally. It bounced in 186 and landed on 187.0. I think I was 189 the last time I weighed a couple days ago. This is when I screw up and bounce back up.

___________________________

I finished dinner at 1289 calories 75_ gram of carb in 4.5 hours. Too many calories bit I now feel satisfied and all was healthy food.

DH just talked to his brother. He is out of ICU in a regular room. He had to have 5 pints of blood but they did a lot of tests but can't find out where he is bleeding from. His grandson sent us a picture of him. He looks good and sounds good but he's going through a lot.

I just realized that I hadn't been here today. I was on the phone with a really sweet young lady who was helping me with the Medicare Advantage plans I am looking at but DH has to give them permission for me to sign him up and I want to do both at the same time. Then I called my eye doctor's office to see if any one does HMO in there office and she acted goofy when I asked her if my doctor does the ppo that I am joining. He is in the hospital and does their surgeries at the hospital that plan is with but she acted like she had never heard of it. DH and I think she may be new and was just confused when I asked about the hmo. I looked up the office on line and it named some PPO plans he is on but mine wasn't named. It just said many more and I know he isn't on my sisters PPO plan. The company that I'm going took over our hospital and the doctor's office I go to so I can't imagine him not being on their plan but need to know before I sign up.

Weight this morning was back down to 179.8. I've been so busy that I haven't tracked on MFP today and I forgot to eat tonight and I think it was after 8 when I finally ate the sandwich I ate. I would have fasted until 3 tomorrow but we are going to Walmart tomorrow so I had the sandwich.

Carol Sue I'm glad your BIL is better. I hope they can find the problem. I can't remember who I knew that did that once and once they got the blook they were fine. I just can't remember if it was DH#2 or someone else.

I'm tired and may go to bed early tonight.

Goodnight.

Trish, my MIL kept going to the hospital needing blood transfusions but once they did that and she felt better she wouldn't let them do tests to find out what was causing it. That happened 4 times until her doctor told her she could not keep doing that, she had to get the rests done. So far, all of the tests on BIL have found nothing. The blood came from somewhere. He looks and sounds good but they have to find what's wrong. Also, he still cannot walk.

I slept very well Sunday night but terrible last night. But don't know what's going on. DH didn't sleep well either.

I'm so glad to hear you are back in the 170s, Trish. I knew you would succeed! I hope you get your medical insurance figured out.

My eating was ok today, but too many carbs. 1100 cals but 129 carbs. I feel a little hungry but won't eat now.

I slept a lot this afternoon, through most of my afternoon soaps. I think the carbs cause that plus poor sleep last night. DH got Arbys for dinner and I slept again after I ate. I am so hot. I think DH is running the furnace too warm or maybe its me. Or maybe he is too cold for some reason. This could be why I'm not sleeping well. I'm going to stop taking the magnesium because that could be making me hot. It is supposed to improve sleep but my sleep is worse.

Carol Sue I pray they can find where the blood is coming from and can correct it. I also pray he will be able to walk again. DH and I had decided to close up our house and move in to take care of Daddy when we finally realized we couldn’t do it and he never was able to walk again. One of Daddy’s problems was he was always afraid he was going to fall even when using a walker. Prayers continue for him.

Well thank God, DH and I settled on a PPO advantage plan. Our eye doctor is not in network but he does take the plan we are own as out of network, but I think I may end up having to pay twice what I pay now for one exam he does every year. If I pay for it now, I pay 20% but it will go up to 40% not sure. The nice thing is if I have to pay double, DH exams should all be $0 copay. So it will even out. We will do it this year and then if we have to change perhaps he will help us find a doc as good as him in network. We also took it because I think we get extra $$ coverage for preventive care on dental. We spent so much money on our teeth over the years, I don’t want to lose ground on them. My dentist in SC always said you're healthier if you take care of your teeth. I don't know if that is true or not. My parents took care of their teeth and ours growing up. Mama had to have more done to hers than Daddy did. So who know. Any way I sure will be glad when I can go get my teeth cleaned.

I am so excited that I ended November with a 6.8 lb loss. I think that is the most I have lost in one month in a long time. I looked back to January 1st and I weighed 208.2 lbs back then and today I am 179 lbs. My FBG was in the 90s 14 days out of the 30. I really enjoyed being able to tell the agent who set up our new plan that I am a controlled diabetic that I don't have to take meds for it. This morning I decided that my new goal for next year is to get out of the obese status. I hope I can do it.

Well, I am tired. I was so busy this morning that I fasted 18 hrs because I forgot to eat anything before we went to Walmart. Today was McDs and I ate the regular CB and instead of putting it on SLMG bread like I usually do, I used the bun and added just mustard and the veggies no mayo this time. Plus I had DH get a large order of fries instead of usual medium because I was hungry for them. I tried to eat the whole burger but I got full and threw out about 1/3 of the bread and ate the meat and veggies only because I needed the protein. Of course DH and I always half the fries.

I couldn’t track on MFP tonight because they say the are overloaded with people right now. I may just drink my collagen coffee and have a cup of diet hot chocolate and not eat any food since I’m really not hungry. I spent over an hour on the phone with setting up new insurance and I have clothes to wash and just no energy left even to fix a sandwich. I would rather go to bed but it is way too early. But I’m glad the insurance deal is settled and over with.

Hope you and DH are able to sleep tonight. Carol Sue.

Have a nice evening everybody.

Trish, my BIL said he can walk with a walker but I don't think he can go back to his granddaughters with a walker because of the stairs. He will be disappointed if he needs to stay in a home. I hope they can do something for his knees.

I'm glad you got your medical plan resolved and I hope it works well for you.

You did great to lose so much this month! Its funny that we are both stopping the magnesium. I gave it some thought and I think I might be dehydrated. The last time I went to the ER for my heart they told me I was dehydrated even though I didn't feel dehydrated. So I need to drink more water and more electrolyte water. I think that helped the last time this happened. So it might not be the magnesium after all. I will see how I sleep tonight.

Oh wow, I was going to take the magnesium out of my pills and forgot and took it.

Carol Sue Do you drink other things in place of water? I don't know when they changed it to any fluid counted toward your water. I think they must have done that just to get people to drink it. I didn't get my water in yesterday or today so that can cause sleeping problems. Thanks for saying that. I don't always drink much water or any liquid as far as that goes when I'm going to be away from home. But when I was researching online and talking to people on the phone about all this insurance stuff I forgot to drink anything. I'll have to remember to do that.

Hi everyone; struggling here. I got gluten at some point last week or weekend. I have some dermatitis herpetiform rash going on. In addition, during fasting yesterday, I had such a headache that I had to eat. My other tricks, like having salt, broth or pickle juice did not help, and I was well hydrated. Eating worked immediately.
So I have not fasted well since the weekend, and weight is 159 so it shows. So back to fasting today again, I hope.
The good news is that sleep continues to go well.

Carol: the A1C going from 120 to 43 is not a thing. I would be surprised if it went from 12 to 4.3 in a short time. I recently saw someone go from 8 to 5.2 though on a fasting page.
Since A1C is expressed as a percentage, the 120 and 43 can't be A1C, they could be fasting blood sugars? But that is why its the same in an country, its a percentage, so no units to worry about. Its the percentage of hemoglobin cells that have glucose molecules attached to them.

I think I missed what is happening with your BIL. I went back a bit, but did not see how he got into hospital? I hope things turn around for him soon.

Trish: I am so happy for you to have lost so much weight in one month, and you must keep doing what is working so well. This year you have really turned things around.

Have a good week friends and happy December

I drank 1.5 bottles of water and a cup of electrolyte water last evening, and I did not take the Magnesium, and I slept better, for 9 hours, not getting up for the bathroom more than usual, 2-3 times. So now I don't know which one helped. I prefer water that has been in the freezer and has some ice in it, which is hard in the winter. I'm just not a big drinker after my morning coffee. I will try harder. I don't think one night without the magnesium would get it out of my body.

Mad, my BIL was having trouble with his knees, could not stand up. Went to the hospital and they could not find the problem. Then he went into a facility for rehab. Although vacinnated, he tested positive for Covid, asymptomatic, and isolated for 14 days. They were ready to address the knee issue when he started passing black stools. So that's why he's hospitalized, but various tests have not found the problem. It is not unusual for an 80 year old to need a walker but he doesn't want it because he cannot go back to granddaughters.

Trish your hamburger sounds good. I haven't had one in ages. I would like it wrapped in a big lettuce leaf with mayo. No bun.

Mad, I can understand how reading about other people's food can bother you when fasting. I start to crave when I hear of or see pictures of other people's food.
_______________________________

I had scrambled eggs and 1 sausage link. I want to cook dinner, but I'm not sure what. We haven't been eating out as much lately. DH is getting more receptive to eating my cooking at home. Its a choice between spaghetti and meatballs or chicken tenderloins. If I cook the chicken I'm not sure how I want them. Probably chicken cacciatore so DH can have whatever potatoes he likes, and a vegetable. Both freezers are stuffed with frozen vegetables.

_____________________________
I have my food tracked for the day. Total 840 calories and 39 grams of carb. In ok with this, and it allows some wiggle room if I decide to eat anything else, but if I don't I will add a 200 calorie snack in so MFP accepts it. I'm making chicken tenderloins covered with cream of chicken soup and fried potatoes. I don't plan on eating potatoes. I want roasted Brussels sprouts with it. I had some cooked broccoli and cauliflower with parmesan cheese for lunch. I'm still hooked on cauliflower but I think I will get tired of it eventually. Im trying to make sure i eat a couple cups of vegetables per day. They are very low calorie. I need to start eating some other vegetables to empty out my freezer so I can bake some Christmas cookies. I always say I'm going to stop that but my family loves then so much and none of them bake. Maybe I will get step daughter to start baking. She could do the ones she likes.

Fatmad So sorry you got gluten somewhere and the horrible rash. I've had my share of those but I don't think it was ever gluten. Looked up what you said it was to see the pictures because DH itches so much at different times but he didn't think it was that because he says "he doesn't eat bread". I tried to explain that it can be in other foods, but he didn't get it or doesn't want to. Hope you get it straightened out soon. It will pass but it sure is no fun to get there.

Carol Sue I find it funny that I used to have to try to cut back on caloreis on MFP and now I have to stretch it just to get to 1000 calories. Sometimes I just show I had more of something than I did. DH would eat the spaghetti but no meatballs and not sure about the caccitorie.

Weight bounced up to .8 lbs to 180.6 but I figure I had extra carbs not much fiber and I didn't drink enough water. It will come back down. Also I had more sodium than usual because fo was 122/63 which is high for me since my average is around 112/53 most days. FBG was 99.

We are having air fryed chicken leg quarter and add SF BBQ to it with salad and probably corn on the cob.

Have a nice day everybody.
