Trish, I used to eat a burger without the bun and that is great low carb food, but I don't like burgers anymore. It disappoints me because it would be a good inexpensive food choice and I don't understand why I don't like them anymore. But I want to eat foods that I like in smaller quantities. DH cooked 2 hot dogs for me even though I said I only wanted one. The dog doesn't like hot dogs so it will go in the trash. I had an ear of corn and a spoonful of baked beans. So I ate in 5.5 hours.

I'm glad you have your BS there with you because its good to follow someone who's successful. She seems to have found her nitch.

I fell asleep again for another hour and a half. That's 8 hours total counting last night and this morning.

Carol Sue I am not fond of ground beef any more. When my parents were planning on a vacation we would live on ground beef. It was good quality beef because a there was a man who worked for my Daddy at the plant whole family had a butchery on their farm in a small town north of here and Daddy bought all our beef from there. I remember bringing huge quantities of ground beef and we would have to mix it with our bare hands and I hated the feeling of all that fat on my hands. Anyway, we ate so much of it and I just can't stand eating it any other way but on a burger or in a casserole like lasagna or spaghetti. The only thing that bothers me about LC/Keto is that I'm starting to feel that way about chicken. I think because I ate so much of it WW. I'm hoping to find some good keto/lc recipes that won't be so dry since butter is and sauces are allowed that weren't allowed on WW. Plus on lc it doesn't have to be white meat only.

I made the 90 minute keto muffin to eat with my eggs and ham and I am totally full. Not sure if I will need anything to eat later or not, but whatever I do eat will definitely be low carb.

It is good to have DBS here because she and I have always eaten as healthy as we knew how and she already knows how to do a lot of this keto/lc woe.

I was going to share with you that we ended up with only 3 little ones here yesterday. The 3 yr old as so little and he talks so low I can't figure out what he is saying to me. His Poppy decided that if they were going to play in the wet grace that they had to take their shoes off to go into the house. Of course, a 3 yr old has no understanding of why he had to take his shoes off so he took of his shoes went in the house and came back out and ran out into the yard again with his Poppy (grandpa) yelling him to come back to get his shoes on. It was so much fun watching these 3 little boys playing with each other. The youngest little boy that comes over with his Mom spilled his milk. So we cleaned that up and then he asked his Daddy to get him some more, but he told his Daddy "don't so much this time". He and his brother always drink milk when they come over so I was not surprised when they walked and and asked me if they could have some milk. LOL They say children keep you young. It is a shame that I no longer can keep them but I do enjoy having them around. Love how they say things and I have to figure out what in the world they are saying to me. So darling.

Hi friends' just a short hello. Trying out posting on my phone. Wonder if the Ransome attacks affected your posts the last couple of days. I think your government is right to pursue this as a form of aggression and work against it.
I was 162 today. Up a little after a late supper. We drove 2 hours north to visit my cousin in Blind River, so it seemed suitable since you all were talking about family.
Trish so glad you had a great reunion with yours. We have no little ones in immediate family now. One of my first cousins became a grandmother recently so the next generation has begun. It may be a while before we get to meet this baby except on Facebook.
Carol Sue : so pleased you are well under 190 and hope you can continue. Figuring out how to manage that while living with and cooking for DH seems hard, but you are up to the challenge.
My DH seems recovered from his concussion and doing ok.
Today should be a fasting day for me, and was planning to do Laundry. I may wait until Wednesday though if the weather is nice today. No rush. We leave the cottage of Thursday for me to get home and pack for the trip to Quebec. More family stuff. Better brush up on my French

Mad years ago a friend and I went to Niagara Falls CA then decided to drive up to Montreal. Somehow we got on the French speaking side and had a terrible time. We could not converse with anyone. Finally we found someone who understood and was able to tell us how to get back. We wanted to continue on to Quebec but didn't have time.

Trish, we have no little ones left. My BILs step daughter has 2 little ones but they are not really family and we rarely see them. They are cute though.

Did you look at the Applebees menu? They have very little low carb choices. Steak is fine but the only veggie is broccoli and a salad is extra. I usually prefer dark meat chicken but the fiesta chicken is a breast, and its delicious. But it has melted cheese and a sauce,

I can eat ground beef other ways, in Chile or a casserole, meatballs,, but not a burger. Most burgers in restaurants have so much crap on them. It is hard to get a burger with just lettuce and tomato. And because of all the crap they add they cost as much as a steak. Many burgers don't taste like meat to me. I once had a very tasty burger in Bob Evans.

Our fireworks were nice and the weather was perfect. A good day.

I didn't know what a 90 min Keto muffin is so I googled. I think you mean 90 second. I never tried that because I don't buy almond flour but I might. The flax muffin I make is actually a muffin, like a blueberry muffin. Not an English Muffin.

Carol Sue You are right. I meant 90 second keto muffin not 90 minute. I actually did find something I could eat at Applebee's. They have a 6 oz sirloin and steamed broccoli and green beans which would make it a good place for me to eat and stay OP.

I can't say that I'm fond of the Keto muffin as it was too dry, but I find the same thing with the flax muffin. The plus for the flax is the fiber so I may by some flax meal next time I go to the store and I could try making it with half of each and see how that works.

Mad Glad your DH is doing better. It is always good to hear from you.

I am on day 2 on low carb. I'm not sure I can say SBK as I'm just working at keeping net carbs low but not obsessing about any of this. I did eat breakfast this morning of 2 eggs, 2 sl bacon and shreded cheese and I had 1/2 grapefruit with it. Weight this morning was 183. I tracked my meals today on MFP and it came to 1296 calories with Net carbs at 74. I would like to keep them between 70 and 75 net carbs so I'm just at that.

Still feeling tired so may just be switching back to low carb or I just may be recovering from the night of no sleep and the busy Saturday. Who knows. I did do my core and stretching exercises today and I am also planning 15 to 20 min on the recumbent bike sometime before the day is over. Right now I could use a nap.

Have a nice day everybody.

Trish, I don't know if our Applebees has green beans. I only saw broccoli. The chicken only comes with one side I think. DH gets the sirloin.

We went to a Wal-Mart and Goodwill. I bought almond flour to try the muffins. I was disappointed because online it said they had a 1 lb bag but at the store they only had 2 lb. I don't know what I will do with all that. I also got some coconut flour because it was on clearance for $1.75. I don't know what I'll use it for but I see a lot of people use it.

I'm not tired or sleepy so far today. I got extra sleep the past 2 days.

I ate more of a 8 hr window today but stayed LC. So I guess that was the important thing.

I too have both coconut and almond flour. I need to learn how and what to use it for. I've slept a lot this afternoon. I hope that all changes soon like it is supposed to. I also hope that I haven't slept so long that I can't sleep tonight.

Hi friends: I think I have the phone thing figured out. Am limited somewhat by the hand pain, can only type so long on the phone keyboard.
159 fasted today! Yay, so glad to see that 5 there, and be in the 150s again. We have friend coming for supper so it will be easier for my to stay low carb with me in charge of food.
I have usually been able to get a 2nd vegetable side for free in replacing potatoes. I have said I can't tolerate them on occasion. Occasionally they want to charge a dollar or two for salad, but unless it's stated that way on the menu, if you trot out intolerance they usually let it go. Maybe call and check before you go?
It's going to be a hot sunny day here today. We had big thunderstorms here yesterday for several hours, and more rain overnight so I will be glad for the good weather today. But the laundry got done!

My sleep was good last night but only 6 hours. We'll see if I need a nap today.

I have to go lower carb, cut out on bread except for toast with my eggs. I've been eating other bread throughout the day and my blood sugar and weight are both up. I was 190.0 this morning. That's just touching on 190 but I want it back down. I love bread. I will have to get some Aldis bread for when our tomatoes start coming. We got the first one this week. Its not my favorite bread but its zero net carb.

Quite often I see recipes that use the substitute flour but I pass them by. I don't want to start baking things with it. I would rather eliminate baked goods because I think if I eat subs I start thinking I can eat regular baked goods. I do want to try the English muffin, though. If I don't like it I will throw the flour out. I don't know anyone who might use it.

I ordered a new vacuum. I was holding off because I have 3 of them. One upstairs and 2 downstairs. They are too heavy, and this one I ordered is supposed to be light. If its not then I wasted my money. I want to vacuum more often. I noticed that it was being offered at 20% off so under $100. It should be here in about a week.

Good morning dear friends.

Fatmad I don't like typing on my cell phone because my fingers are too big. I have learned to keep a stylus close by even in my purse which makes it easier. I'm glad you can have fellowship with your friends again. DS said this morning how much she realized that she missed the hugs.

It is unusual for boys to be so loving, but DBS boys are huggers. I felt someone come up behind me and hugging on me rubbing my shoulders and heard someone whisper, "It's me Jeremy Aunt Pat". That is my nephew who was having problems with his marriage. Remember his wife and little boys came over to see us during that time. I'm happy to say that they have decided not to give up on their marriage.

Carol Sue I was surprised to see how well I slept last night and woke up just in time to get up before 9 am. I think all this tiredness is not only from going lower carb but also having lost a night's sleep Thursday night and having to get up to be at the beauty shop at 9:30 am didn't help. I think my body is trying to catch up. I think I have a difficult time starting to make all the goodies I could make with the nut flour for the same reason you do, but I need to do it if nothing else for DH.

Weight this morning was 181.6. Surprised me. Obviously it was the low carb. When I was hungry, I was careful to have fruit with protein and lettuce with sliced sandwich meat. I have no idea how low my carbs were. I think I'm just eating mindfully but with low carb, but not counting. Trying to learn to only eat when hungry and eat only as much as it takes to satisfy the hunger.

Going to Walmart today to get milk and some other things I couldn't have in the fridge because I knew I would need the space for the party foods. I want to get some fruit and salad veggies.

Have a nice day everybody.

Trish, we had to go back to Wal-Mart yesterday for a couple things we forgot, and now DH told me we are out of Dog food. I tell him repeatedly to tell me when something is getting low and not to wait til its completely gone. I have not seen his dog food brand in the local grocer or Dollar General. only Walmart. I don't like going so often. But the dog has to eat.

I don't know what has changed with my sleep. I have not had a nap for several days. I go to bed early and watch tv. Then I fall asleep around midnight. The difference is I fall back to sleep after getting up for the bathroom.

I'm so glad to hear your weight is back down.!!! I knew it would drop eventually. You are doing so well. Me, not so much.

I am not a hugger.

Carol Sue I hate it when I get home from the store and realize that I forgot something. DH hates the way I usually go up and down all the isles but I do that so I won't forget something because I forgot to put it on my list. I didn't do that yesterday though because I didn't want to spend too much time there. I knew I would get just what I normally buy at Walmart. I still will have to go to the local store to get things I couldn't find at Walmart. I don't know why they don't keep things stocked up like the local store does. I noticed the last time I went to the local store that they are starting to carry some of the sugar free products that I used to could only get at Walmart. They only had H&H in 1/2 gallon or pints. I only by the quart size to make DH yogurt.

I bought the FF Greek flavored yogurt because I saw a low carb cheesecake made by taking it and mixing it with some softened cream cheese and you can put it on toast and have a make shift low carb cheesecake. Or you can make a low carb sugar free crust to put it on. It will make a nice change and get my yogurt in too.

We got some fruit and I bought 3 avocados. I think they were kind of expensive so I want to be sure and eat them. I fried my 2 eggs this morning and mashed half of one into the egg and broke my bacon in it and it was a nice brunch. I didn't even miss the toast eating it that way. We got watermelon. We bought one of those smaller watermelons and DH cut it up and I had to put it into a large pitcher. We had a fridge this size in SC and DH asked me "Where did we put those big melons we bought in SC"? After having the big fridge we had when we first moved here, this one seems so small. But I still like it better and I think it is the right size for us.

Weight up 1 lb which I expected because of KFC meal yesterday. Although I did eat the crust on the chicken my sides were fresh raw veggies which I call a finger salad of sliced cukes, tomatoes, onion, celery and radishes to eat with it. So I'm doing good although I am eating 3 meals each day now just to see if maybe I wasn't eating enough during my stall since it seems eating more got the scale moving again. However, I am trying to limit starches to little to none. Fish is on the menu today and I will air-fry mine with almond flour batter.

I've got a rash on my neck but not sure if it is caused by some of the face products I've been using that DBS told me about or what. I seem to be able to use it on my face but not on my neck or it could be that the green tea is detoxing me because I've been drinking too much it. I stopped using anything but the diabetic lotion I always used before on my neck but it was bad yesterday so today I won't drink any green tea and see if it goes away. Any time I have ever tried to detox, I always have a rash somewhere. I didn't really realize that green tea could be used for detoxing but I guess it could. I really think it is helping my weight loss and keeping it stable so I hope I will be able to drink it in moderate amounts.

Hope everybody has a nice day.

Trish, sometimes when you get a rash that is toxins coming out of your body or you are allergic to the new products.

I am in the food court.. I hope DH is winning. Wi-Fi is weak here.

I was so tired when I got home. One thing about the casino I get a lot of walking. All I can say is DH didn't lose all his money. According to Fitbit, I fell asleep at 9:15. DH had the tv on but I rolled over and fell right to sleep. I got up a couple times for the bathroom but fell back to sleep until 8:15. Unbelievable that I slept that long but I'm happy. My body needs that rest and restoration.

My new vacuum sweeper is due to come tomorrow by Fed Ex. Its coming from SC. DH thinks I made a mistake buying it. He doesn't think it will be lighter than the ones I have. He thinks I should have gone somewhere that sells it and had one on display. But I could not find a store that had one in-store. They all said delivery and Hoover had it the cheapest with free shipping. If this was a mistake it won't be the first. I will give one of my old ones to step daughter. She has a game room in her basement at the new house and won't have to carry her vacuum up and down the cellar steps. She never lived in a place with stairs. When we moved here, I had to take a day off work because my legs hurt so bad from the steps I was not used to. I was 35 years old. Step daughter is 52.

I am still eating indiscriminately. I need to stop before I pop food in my mouth and ask myself some questions.

Am I hungry?
Does my body need this food?
Will I be happier after I eat it?
Can I eat it later?

The answer to the first 3 would most likely be No, and the answer to 4 would usually be yes.

Carol Sue I probably should have taken advantage of the stairs in the SC home but I didn’t have to go up stairs so I didn’t. I do try to exercise my legs here to keep them strong. I really should get on that recumbent bike more but I don’t. It just takes time that I need somewhere else so I try to stay active. Sorry DH day at the casino wasn’t fruitful, but glad he didn’t lose all his money. It is good that you get plenty of walking exercise when there.

My weight is the same as yesterday. My eating is pretty good. I’m trying to learn to eat only when hungry and eat what I want but in combo of protein with a carb but still not counting any thing. I am hoping that by allowing myself to eat what I want that I will be better satisfied. This morning I was hungry for banana and peanut butter so I mixed it together with Lite & Fit yogurt. I wasn’t sure how it was going to taste but it actually was very good. Home made pizza is on the menu today with a salad with keto ice cream for dessert.

Not much happening here today. I hope everybody is having a good day.
