Trish, I would not use the exercise points unless I got hungry. Don't eat something just because you have the extra points. However, if I wanted milk I would drink it and use the points. Its not the same as using the points for a doughnut. Milk has nutritional benefits that your body wants. Its worth the points.

Yesterday, DH was complaining about the bread again. I told him he has to go to Wal-Mart early and avoid the crowds. He just hates any other bread. He will want me to go with him. I bought everything I need beforehand so I won't have to. I dread having to go! I don't know what I'm going to make for dinner today or tomorrow. Our restaurants are closed for indoor dining. I wish he would eat take out. I sure hope he won't want me to go to the WVa casino on Thursday, Christmas Eve! We are supposed to get snow. He can be such a pill sometimes!

157 this am. Ate 2MAD yesterday.
DD moved back yesterday evening. We did a nice charcuterie supper with her. I included sliced cucumbers for me to put my stuff on, though I did have a few GF crackers. Also had some grapes with it. Have to wonder if having her back affected our sleep. I have not had insomnia for a while.
Very tired, both DH and I had trouble sleeping. I finally got to sleep about 3 am I think, (not sure was avoiding clocks). He woke up about then and could not get back to sleep. I had some significant pain and wound up taking more drugs for pain. He is out walking the dog now, as I could not. I picked him up from the car dealership, where he took his vehicle for a recall and is getting his airbags replaced.
I am hoping to sleep a bit more this am, or will have a nap, though I have a dental appointment at 230.
Also wonder if grief does it. A very elderly uncle passed away yesterday, my father's oldest brother. In a family of 10, he was the 7th to pass away! in his 90s, it was peaceful and not surprising, and we were not close. I think I was grieving more for my two aunts and an uncle left behind and how this affects them. But it didn't hit me much until bedtime, and was in my head.
In any case, I hope to fast at least until supper time today.
have a good day friends.

Fitbit says my sleep was better the past 2 days, rated in the 80s. Some nights my sleep is all light sleep rated 60s or 70s. I checked online and my deep and rem sleep were close to normal and I've been sleeping at least 7 hours. I do wake up a lot. I think once I start exercising my sleep should improve.

Mad, I'm sorry you are having pain. I hope you find out what's causing it and get it taken care of. Your dog walking has been so beneficial for you.

Fatmad I'm heart goes out to your aunts and family. It is difficult enough to lose loves ones but during the holidays is even more so. I have a nephew whole ex-wife's brother just had brain surgery and they have been on my mind so. I think he is the one who gave his home to his sister. This year has been hard enough for so many but to go through this at this time. I saw a woman on the FB Green WW plan whose Dad passed away 3 days ago from covid. My prayers are with all going through these sad times. I'm sorry you are still having problems with the pain. Hope things get better for you soon.

Carol Sue I wondered if you get out a lot in the snow and ice. I don't know how far you are from WV but I don't think I would want to be traveling any where in that weather on a holiday weekend. But that is just me. I hope your DH will skip it this week.

Well, I've studied all the WW plans and I am going to stick to my original plan and I am officially considering myself on the Simply Filling/Core plan using the Points Plus counting. Not as much counting and it is much easier for me to follow and to stick to a "healthy" way of eating. This morning I am having 2 eggs, 1 sl bacon, 1 sl toast with Pam type olive spray on it and a banana which comes to 1 pt for the bacon. We are going to steakhouse for DH BD and Christmas celebration with DS & BIL. I will have sirloin steak 0 pt, steamed veggies 0 pts and baked potato 0 pt if I don't add butter and 1 dinner roll for 3 pts. I am going to make an 0 pts egg salad for me to have this evening if I need it. I am going to not worry about a 8 hr IF. I know my FBG likes 10 hr window with meals 5 hrs apart so I may go for that or else do a 9 hr window with 5 hrs between breakfast and dinner and then 4 hrs between dinner and supper. This just works better for me and I can do it mindfully without having to think about eating all the time.

DH and I will go to Walmart after dinner so I won't have to go to the store tomorrow when I leave the beauty shop. My new air fryer oven is to be delivered today as well as gifts we ordered for DH Christmas present. I finally talked him into ordering something he wanted since I ordered the oven and pans to go with it for mine.

Edited to share... Now that I have the plan that will fit my lifestyle, I will go back to doing what I did years ago before computers. I start tracking a food plan on paper either the day before or 1st thing in the morning. Example, I already have my food plan written in a notebook as to what I plan to eat and how many pts I will be eating today. I decided that as much as I like bacon, I can now eat 1 slice each day for a whole month and still wouldn't spend 49 pts on bacon. LOL This will now be my tracking method. I had to change my Olive oil in my coffee to 2 tsp a day rather than a Tbls or I will have to count pts for it. Also I can have up to 2 servings of FF dairy before I have to count pts for any additional. Very doable for me.

Hope everybody has a nice day.

Trish, I am glad you have your eating plan worked out the way you want it. I hope it helps you continue to lose.

DH found some bread at the local store that he thinks he can live with so we don't have to go to Wal-Mart. I also got some things I wanted, a couple tomatoes, some cheese and Brussels sprouts for Christmas dinner. We had deli meat sandwiches for dinner today and I will make chicken broccoli Alfredo tomorrow so my plans are complete thru Friday.

The casino in West VA is an hour and a half drive from here. DH would not go there if it's snowing. He will go locally in the snow because our new vehicle has all wheel drive, but they usually have the roads cleared within a few hours. It's something we get used to around here. Everyone hears that snow is coming and goes to the grocery store to stock up.

I am very excited to see another good sleep night last night. 8+ hours. Fitbit gave me a sleep score of 86. I think that is the best I've ever had since I started tracking it. The only thing I took was tart cherry, but I take that every night, even when I sleep poorly. I don't think it really helps. I got the proper amount of deep and rem sleep again and was awake only 57 minutes, total all night. I fell asleep without my cpap and that's when I had the deep sleep. After going to the bathroom I put it on and that's when I had the rem sleep. I'm sooo glad I have stopped taking the Tylenol Arthritis. Now I only take it if I have pain. I didn't exercise, but I was busy and moving alot.

I didn't take my gout medicine yesterday. I want to take it every other day to see what happens. If there's no change I will cut back further. I think that's the only way to find out if I still need it. Once my doctor puts me on a med he never wants me to stop it. I will continue to get it filled, though, until I know for sure that I don't need it.

Although I know I should not stop taking meds without consulting my doctor, both my BIL and SIL have gout and stopped their meds. In reading, I found some dietary changes I can make to help.

Carol Sue I'm glad you are getting better sleep. I've read that is supposed to be helpful with weight loss as well. Hope so. One thing I am learning since I've been eating like I am is that I do sleep better. I don't necessarily sleep long hours but I get a good 7 or 8 hr sleep. When I am really sleepy I go to bed and seem to fall asleep rather quickly and usually sleep straight through and when I wake up in the morning, I am rested and ready to get up feeling much better and alive.

Headed out to the beauty shop and I will go to the local store after if it isn't too busy. Traffic was already heavy when we left the restaurant and I knew that my oven was supposed to come so we came straight home. I didn't want that oven sitting on the front porch too long. We haven't had any thefts that I know of but didn't want to take the chance. Sure enough when we pulled in the drive way I saw the big box sitting on the porch. I think DH wants me to use both the old and new oven so I will have to figure out where to but them both. He thinks I need the old for making pizza. I figure I can use both and when he sees that I don't need the old then I can give it away.

I ordered the sirloin steak that I usually have at the restaurant and I told the waiter that it was the worst steak I had ever eaten it had so grisly you couldn't chew it. DH got his regular fillet mignon and he told me to start getting that. I came home and ate my chicken salad as well some other things, but too much.

Weighed this morning and weight is up to 190.4 but FBG was 104. I am not going to worry too much about weight today and tomorrow. It is Christmas and I am going to enjoy. Of course, my WI day is Sunday unless I go back to Thursday WI. I am going to try to go to weighing once a week too.

Got to head out. I hope everybody has a nice day. I hope everybody has Merry Christmas but it is difficult to do that with the way this year has gone and so many having lost loved ones. Yesterday I saw where another WW lost her brother yesterday to covid. We have been praying for our nephew's ex-wife's brother who had brain surgery a week ago. DS found out that he had a stroke. The boy probably isn't even in his 40s yet. So so sad.

Trish, I am concerned about my weigh in tomorrow but there isn't anything I can do about it now. I feel I ate too much yesterday but I'm not sure. I feel fat today. Considering it is Christmas week I think I've done ok. It could be much worse. I don't want to see 190. Too bad if I do.

DH went to the bank this morning and brought McDonalds breakfast sandwiches. I made cheese cake but don't plan on eating mine til tomorrow. I can't control DH though! I can eat a very small portion of dinner and that will help. I plan on making Chicken broccoli alfredo unless DH vetos that. If so, he's on his own. I'm not in a mood to argue about it. My friend told me she cooks dinner and DH eats it. Period. Her DH was my DHs best friend growing up but sadly, that trait didn't rub off.

Tell DH I said Happy Birthday! And a blessed Christmas Eve to all who observe!

Store parking lot was packed, but shopping wasn't too bad but unable to really distance. Strange that I thought people would have had all their Christmas bought. Perhaps they didn't decide what they were going to do until today. Of course, yesterday was payday for many of us on SS. So some of them probably couldn't shop until today.

I got my pie shells for the apple pie. I had planned to order pizza today and have it delivered for DH since he liked the one my niece ordered, but I DH says he want me to make the homemade one I always make. I admit it is healthier so I guess I will do it. After all it is his birthday. Thank you for wishing him HB. He was up when I got home as he couldn't sleep so I assume he will be hungry early. I had planned to eat breakfast when I got home, but now I won't. I will end up with a 18 hr fast that way.

I am going to cancel my online WW membership even the free membership. I am going to use all I have learned from the WW plans as well as other plans especially mindful eating so I can lose weight and keep my blood sugar low as well. I do think using Intermittent Fasting with what I've learned will help as well. Although I have always loved IE, I think IE as I've read isn't really for weight loss so much as eating disorders. Mindful eating as spoken of in Core/Simply Filling rules is what will work for me and it can be done effectively with IF, I do believe. Hopefully that will mean more 2MAD days than 3.

Carol Sue I hope the 2 of us will be able to take what we have learned this past year and successfully lose weight healthfully in 2021.

DH just changed all my plans. He is confused. I used to bake our ham on Christmas Eve when we went to his mothers for Christmas day. Since she passed away I've been baking it on Christmas day. This morning he asked if I was baking it today and I said Tomorrow. Later on I told him I was making the chicksn broccoli Alfredo tonight and he said I told him I was making scalloped potatoes. I told him that's tomorrow with the ham and he said You always make potato salad with ham. So I guess I'm not allowed to change. The scalloped potatoes are in the oven. I guess the chicken I defrosted will wait for another day. And we will have potato salad with the ham. That's fine, because I won't eat the potato salad. Geez, I guess he wasn't listening when I explained all this to him before!!

I am tired and headed to bed. I made 2 pies tonight in my new oven. I never used a convection oven but my pies cooked really fast. My ham will be done really quick so I won't have to even put it on to cook until just before we eat. I also got all my wash done so I don't have to do anything but make our potato salad and cook the ham. Broccoli will probably be the choice of vegetable. I didn't buy any rolls so we won't be eating bread. I will probably sleep in a bit in the morning. I was busy and ate but more like 6 hr window instead of 4. I will probably do the same tomorrow.
Goodnight.

Merry Christmas, everyone! We woke up to a couple inches of snow with more to come today. This is our first white Christmas in many years. I opened the door and looked out. Not a soul in site. There are tire tracks in the snow and it looks so peaceful and beautiful.. Many people are glad they don't have to go to work today.

I wasn't going to get on the scale today even though its weigh in day because I don't feel as though I lost. I was going to wait, but I did, and I'm up 1.2 lbs to 190.2. I did not want to see that 9 today or ever again. Nothing to do except keep trying.

The potatoes and eggs are cooking for DHs potato salad. DH has to cut the ham in half and I will freeze half for another time. I will bake it in the oven and it will make the house nice and warm. I'm not sure what vegetable we will eat with it. I planned on Brussels sprouts. DH loves then. I tasted the cheese cake. I tried a new recipe but I prefer the old recipe.

I slept for 7 hours but not as good. I woke up a lot. My back hurt and I was cold. I took Tylenol at 5 am and that helped my back. I only got a 78.

The ham is in the oven. It will be ready early but he can eat when he wants to. I don't think he will be making breakfast today.

Merry Christmas everybody.

I took a cherry tart pill last night and I wish I hadn't taken it. I am feeling really weird today. I just want to sleep. I need to call my son who called me early this morning. Any way my potato is done and in the fridge. I will cook the ham later this morning in the new convection oven and it won't take long for it to cook. I may decided to keep the other oven because there are some things that will be better cooked in the convention oven like the pizza. I'll see.

I need to call my son and then I'm going to try sleeping off the feeling of the cherry tart pill. Hope everybody has a good day.

Carol Sue My weight has been stuck at 190.4 for about 3 or 4 days now. At this time, I'm just thankful that I am still under 200 and I hope I can get back to losing when the holiday is over.

Trish, I don't understand the effects you get from the tart cherry. I take it every night and it seems to do nothing for sleep for me but it is good for gout. It lowers uric acid. Mine is 3000 mg.

I just read about tart cherry that it contains melatonin. I took melatonin one night and felt very groggy, but it was probably too much with the tart cherry, too. I guess its the melatonin in it that effects you. It does not effect me the same way.

I don't know why the tart cherry effects me like it does either. The last time I took it it didn't effect me this way. I have had a terrible sinus headache all morning. Something in the air when whte weather turned cold caused me to sneeze a lot the other night. So all this may just be from my reaction to the weather change. Cooking the ham so we can eat and then I will just relax the rest of the day hoping this sinus reaction with go away. No fever or signs of covid so that is good. Slept last night but had strange dreams and woke up several times to go to the potty which may be the reason I am so tired again today.
