I didn't do one meal. I ate an apple sometime after 1 pm and stopped around 9 pm. So I had an 8 hr eating window. So that gave me 15 hrs without eating anything. It is really strange how not having a refrigerator makes things feel out of whack. Thank God we will have the new one by next weekend.

I did part of my laundry today and will do bed clothes and towels tomorrow night. Headed to bed now. Hope I can get a good nights sleep.

Trish, I think it would be very hard to go without a refrigerator. We never had a refrigerator break. We always got a new one before the old one completely broke down. We didn't have a stove when we moved in, though. It came 2 days later.

I'm up early today so I will wait to get weighed.

LOL It didn't do any good at all to wait. I weighed in at 194.4, 2 lbs up from yesterday. DH told me the soup must have been very salty because his BP was up last night, so that might be the problem. It didn't taste salty, but it tasted really good! I have 2 jars of it left and don't want to waste it. I think there are ways to reduce the salt in soups, so I think I might read up on that.

Well, I found out that adding a starch, like potato, rice or pasta will soak up some of the salt, but not all. I will cook a potato in the soup then discard it. It says it will reduce the salty taste, but the soup doesn't taste too salty, it just gives the effect of too much salt. I will look for sodium free bullion cubes to use from now on and rinse the canned vegetables. I've done that in the past but only drained them this time. I will still eat the soup but DH won't. Its too good to throw away.

Angry Confirmed loss in danger!

So on Friday morning my scale and my posted current weight on the side bar matched. For the most part, I ate within in my diet plan Friday and Saturday. This morning the scale was up 5 pounds from Friday. I haven't seen a weight like that since September. Hopefully, it is just a fluke and not my mistakes of the past month coming home to roost.

Carol Sue I'm sure that kind of gain is just the sodium. You can flush that out with water which I need to be drinking as well. It just isn't easy to drink it when it is cold weather and I'm also drinking it out of the faucet without a filter and can taste it. It will be nice to have the new fridge with filtered ice and water. Any way I bet that weight will be down tomorrow.

Pipsicle I'm sure the weight up is just a fluke and will come back down. Fluctuations do happen.

I got up early and weighed and my weight was 191 but then later at my regular WI time it was 190.6. Today is WI day on MFP and it was a gain for me because I weighed 189 last Sunday. I went ahead a tracked it any way and also did the neck, waist and hip measurements as well. I also put the rest of the animal crackers down the garbage disposal so they won't be here to tempt me any more. I hated wasting them but better there than on my waist.

I'm strictly on MFP now and have the day planned out. I am barely over 1000 calories for today and see no reason to change it. I read years ago on a fiber cereal box (don't remember which brand) that said to give them 2 weeks of eating 2 meals of their cereal each day and you would lose 10 lbs. I never believed it or thought it was true. For one thing I never lose what they say I will, but I decided that it wouldn't be much different than doing to low carb meals on CAD plan and eating one meal of what you want except that maybe the fiber would be helpful to keep you regular. Plus it could be a good way to get back OP and it could be done without having to cook. I might try that at least long enough to get myself back OP. However, tomorrow will have to be a fasting day until after doctor's appointment since they weigh me and the appointment is at 1:30 since DH is a day sleeper and won't get up until noon. I love how men don't care about their weight. He does like DH#2 and weighs with heavy keys etc in his pocket. I go in wearing light clothes etc to weigh as low as possible. LOL

Here's hoping we all have a better week this coming week.

Have a blessed Sunday dear friends.

Trish, I am already over the bump up. I hope Pipsicle is, too!you

We ate dinner already, at 1:30. This morning I was hungry and had scrambled eggs at 9 AM. At 1 DH was hungry and so was I so we were going to eat SOMETHING. I was planning on grilled steaks for dinner so we ate. Steak, broccoli and home fries. It was very good. I know DH will eat later and then might make a salad. My grandparents ate their big meal at noon, I don't know why, and ate a snack, soup or a sandwich later on.

We don't have ice/water dispenser in our fridge. That only comes on bigger ones and we are limited to a small size. We buy bottled water but I refill mine from the faucet. Our water tastes fine to me but not DH. It doesn't bother me to drink cold drinks in the winter. I have been very thirsty lately and drinking a lot of water. Maybe that is why I seem to be retaining.

I ended up with in 8 hr eating window and 1149 calories today and I'm through eating until after our appointment tomorrow. We will just go to the doctor, go get take out and then come home. I would love to have Bush's Fried chicken tenders tomorrow so will see if I can talk DH into that. We now have a Bush's a block away from McDs so there is not reason why we couldn't get my chicken and then come back by McDs which is on the way home from Bush's and get him a CB and fries.

Carol Sue I most of my life Supper was our main meal around 5:30 pm. Then after DH and I worked there were times I didn't eat all day and my best friend and I would go out and eat supper at Cracker Barrel most of the time. When I married DH, he and his mother always ate their main meal around 3 pm so I switched and ate with him at 3 and we've been doing it that way ever since. Now I'm used to it.

I cleaned out the big freezer and I had a lot of things I had to throw out because it had been in there for so long it was freezer burned or I didn't how long it had been there. I did have some meat that we can still eat and I may try cooking some of it This week. I have a lot of good veggies that I need to use. Most of it was down in the bottom and since it is a deep freezer I can't see it. I'm still going to think of some way to better organize it so I know what is in it. Since we get the new fridge Thursday, I want to go to the store that day if they come early enough to get some groceries. I can go Friday to the local store to get freezer foods.

I didn't eat cereal tonight since I had cereal for breakfast, I wasn't hungry for it. I had half a PB sandwich and a Fiber One bar with my coffee with collagen in it. I would still like to go back to eating just 2 meals a day most days.

I never heard of Bush's. Its a Texas thing. We only have KFC and Popeye. I tried Popeye. It was ok, but DH doesn't like fried chicken. He says he does, but what he likes is browned or grilled boneless breasts. He calls it fried. I told him to never order fried chicken in a restaurant because it won't be what he wants. LOL. He doesn't like any meat with a bone.

When we worked, supper was at 6 or so. Somehow after I retired we started eating earlier and earlier. DH still eats 3 meals and snacks but breakfast and lunch are small. Dinner is the main event. If he has cake or donuts, that's breakfast. If not he cooks eggs, pancakes or French toast. I rarely have anything other than eggs for my first meal whatever time I eat it. We don't eat out as much as we used to. I don't know why. He always wants to go on the weekends and I don't want to with covid because its crowded. During the week we go at 3 or 4 and its empty. Its much better for me if we eat out because when I cook I cook what he wants. If we eat out we each order what we want. One of our favorite restaurants closed permanently. It was struggling, then covid did them in. I doubt if it will ever reopen. They have been closed since March. Not even take out.

We are watching the Super Bowl.

I have posted this morning but it isn't here. My Wt is back down to 192.4. I think God gave me the bump up to 194.4 to make me appreciate 192.4. LOL

Sleep was ok last night. I didn't take anything. I forgot to take the tart cherry. When I woke up in the middle of the night I wanted to take Tylenol but didn't have any at my bedside so I didn't want to get up to get it. So I just went back to sleep.

I decided I wanted eggs when DH got up even though I wasn't actually hungry. My body likes to get protein in the morning. I still won't do it every day. I want to eat out today or tomorrow. DH has been wanting to go to Texas Roadhouse but I never want to go on a weekend. I will have to check the weather report because its not close. He might not want to go today because we had steak yesterday.

I asked and he says he wants to go. Its going to snow overnight and the next few days. I will get salmon.

I looked up TX Roadhouse salmon on MFP and it had several different entries, from 300+ cals to 600+ cals. On line it says 300+ so I'm going with that. 5 oz of salmon is 192 cals, so I don't know how they prepare it to make it almost double. I am also not happy with the cals they list for Wal-Mart French bread. Its a skinny loaf, half the size of regular bread and they list it as 120 cals. Regular bread is only 70. I think MFP is a guess at best.

We went to Texas Roadhouse and my salmon was delicious. The reason for the extra calories is it has a lot of butter on it. That's probably why mine is dry and theirs is not.

Trish, I was thinking about the cereal and I think it was Special K. I really like it but bran flakes has more fiber so I switched. I buy Special K once in a while.

This morning I was blessed with a low of 188.4 lbs this morning so my new way of eating is working.

Carol Sue I don't know why that we get a high weight and then it takes a few days for it to come down like it should even when it is just fluid.

I agree with you that MFP is more guess work than anything some times. I don't always use the high number but I seldom use the low ones either. If there is a big difference I use the # somewhere in the middle. However if it is a food I intend to use a lot, I will track it from the package putting it in their lists. Otherwise it is a guessing game.

Doctor's appointment went very well. DH A1c was 7 and mine was 5.1. Most of the appointment was spent talking to him about DH back injury from his fall in the snow. So he looks at me and said "You are doing great". Every # on my bloodwork was normal. Even my sodium was a very close to normal only 2 pts below normal range. My calcium was in the normal range so that has improved. DH # were almost normal. His cholesterol and triglycerides were almost normal. None of he # were dangerously high or low. DH thinks his blood sugar is still to high but the doctor said he is happy with it as he wants it to stay between 7 and & 7.5.

Then he talked to us about the vaccine which I said I would not take. He asked us why and then explained to us why he thought we should take it. I told DS he was nice enough not to mention obesity but just said we needed to take it because of our age and diabetes. He answered all our questions and then I said "Did you take it?" He said he had taken it and so had everyone who works in our docs office. So we are on the waiting list to get it in a week or two. He said our arm will be sore from the first shot and not to make any plans to do anything for about 18 hrs after the second. He said the reason that we still have to wear masks after getting it is because they can't police whether every body has had the shot but he seemed to think that when most of the population has had the shot we won't have to wear them. DH told him that he didn't care one way of the other because he wasn't afraid of the shot or the virus so that is when we both agreed to take it.

Doc decided to have DH back x-rayed and he to order therapy for him which can be done up the road at one of their other clinic in a little town in their system. So we are really pleased with the results of our appointment and are good to go for 6 months. I am really pumped up to keep eating healthy.

Today I fasted till we ate around 3ish. Carol Sue Bushes is a TX company. We order 6 fried chicken tenders but they gave us 8. No sure how that happened. DH ate 3 and I ate 4. I was so hungry. I ate most of my calories for the day at that time or at least I think I did since I have to use other places for their calorie count as I can't find any counts for them sinc they are local. So I am counting my calories as being a little over 1100 for the day. To be sure I won't eat another thing today.

I hope everyone is having a good day today.

Trish, I am so happy that you and DH had such a good Dr. appointment! That is wonderful! You are both very healthy.

I'm glad to hear you have made a decision about the vaccine. I pray that all goes well. It's can't imagine any doctor recommending that you don't get it. I have still not decided, but they are not really available in our area. I should have my mind made up by the time. I have asked God to guide me. I think we will have to wear masks until the cases go down as well as deaths. I hope that happens by summer. It doesn't bother me because I don't go many places to need a mask.

Carol Sue I get the feeling that the way our doctor looked at it was that we have to take care of the base virus so that the new strands won't be so bad for us. Not sure they know that for sure but seems to be their thinking. He said it is no different than taking the flu shot. He had answers to my questions and I thought of how our parents took us to stand in line to get the polio vaccine when kids were getting polio. So I guess it is no different than that. I will pray over the shot when I get it that if there is anything bad that God will protects us from it just as we do when we pray over the food we eat.

Trish, I remember getting the first polio shot in school, but my parents never took us for the booster, and my little brother never got the first shot. We were poor. We had no medical insurance. We never went to the doctor. As far as the flu shot, we don't get it because a friend of ours was hospitalized for weeks from side effects of the flu shot. When I ask my doctor about things like that he says "Its rare.". Saying its rare means it COULD happen to me. This is why DH will never get the vaccine. But I am just not there yet. I have read all that comes out about it and I am educating myself as well as I can. I am not saying you're wrong. So many are getting it and are fine. I'm sure you will be, too.

Wt is up to 193.4.

MFP says that I lost 11 lbs since last weigh in. Don't I wish!! I looked at my prior weigh in and it says 204 lbs. I don't understand how that got there because that weight is transmitted from my scale, unless someone hacked into my account. I think I can delete it.

Carol Sue DH and I don't think we need the shots either but if my doctor's responses to my questions are true, we shouldn't have any problems. DH DD had her second shot today and will let me know how she did with it. DS and BIL get their second shot next Tuesday. I talked to the Hospice Chaplin who was with us when our Daddy passed away. She said she had the shots and had no problem. She said all the people in their group had to get the shots and only one person who had previously had the virus had any reaction to the second shot. I do know that our doctor said he had had the virus so I am hoping DS and DBIL will have a minimal amount of problems and maybe DH and I will have little to no problems as well.

I've had done all my exercises this morning. I don't know if I will do them tomorrow or not. I want to do at least one more day maybe 2 this week. I will just have to decide which ones.

DH starts therapy for his back next Tuesday afternoon and I will be able to go in with him and watch and learn of any that I can do to continue improving mine too.

Have a good day.

We went to the new casino today to see how it is. Its nice, because everything is new and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to it, but otherwise it was nothing to get excited about. Now DH will stop bugging me about it. We no longer go to W VA, so I guess he will stick with the pa casino about an hour away.

Good morning. I ate scrambled eggs and forgot to weigh. I might weigh, anyway. I'm getting to the point of giving up on what the scale says. I cannot get in the groove of getting it down for some reason.

NowDH wants to go to the regular casino. I give up on that, too. If I refuse he just gets miserable all day. So what if I'm miserable! I told him he could do what he wants with the money he got from his broken hip and I guess he's doing it!

Last night I slept through to 5 am. That's because I didn't have much to drink since we were at the casino. Its good that I didn't get up but I need to drink water. I tend to drink it in the evening to keep myself from eating. I'm going to stop counting calories and eat according to hunger but I'm going to continue going on MFP because of the pound a week challenge and it records my weight. I might go back to calories again and I don't want to lose my days streak. I still hope I can start losing a pound a week.

Last night I had a dream that 2 of my friends lost a lot of weight and were nice and thin. They looked so good and I was so jealous. I don't know why I can't just do it!!

Carol Sue I know exactly how you feel. I like eating just what I feel like eating. However, I am tracking it on MFP although I'm never sure how accurate the calories are when I have to estimate. Most of the time I can figure out something close, but when I eat at places they have no info on then I have to estimate.

My eating is kind of crazy right now without the fridge. Thank God it will be delivered sometime tomorrow. I called and they said that they don't call you till after 3:30 the day before so still waiting to find out when. It is a good thing I called because they had forgotten to put on the paperwork and charge me the $25 for them to remove the old fridge. They are going to remove it without charge because it was their mistake. I would have gladly paid the $25 I just wanted it hauled off.

I wanted to get a new freezer too, but decided not to do it right now. DS doesn't have a freezer other than the one on her refrigerator and hasn't had one in years. I might find that I won't need one either. I will then use the deep freezer for things like big bags of chicken breasts/tenders and fish and maybe a few other things. I might find I don't need a freezer at all and just save that money since it is just the 2 of us. Then I might just give the deep freezer away or cell it.

DH will go get McDs CB in a bit when he goes to get a small bag of ice. Thank God we won't need it tomorrow. I miss my eggs and will go back to eating them Friday or Saturday. I got up too late to weigh but did any way and my weight was up .4 lbs to 189.6. Not really sure why. Carol Sue I think weight just fluctuates from day to day.

If your DH wants to go to the casino, I hope it will be a good day.

Have a good day.
