Thank you. We had a quiet anniversary. Your chicken meal sounds good. I think I will get that for our lunch Friday if DBIL has o work. Our roast dinner was good too and I now have leftover roast and gravy to make a stew next week.

My eating has been fairly good today. I seem to do better if I track what I have eaten at the end of the day rather than tracking a plan for the day. So I will continue to do that. Calories today was 1220. So that is good. I just hope I can continue doing this good. I also think that I would do better not to have a WI day because I have a bad habit of making that more of cheat day. So I am not going to worry about having one and see how that goes. When I have a weight loss that lasts for a while then I will know that it is real and I will count it. Another good day behind me making 3 days. Taking one day at a time is the only way to do this because I know any day can change.

Good luck at the casino.

Today I'm down to 191.8. I'm surprised because that's 1 lb overnight but I guess I was retaining fluid.

I spent the evening trying to get my Fitbit working then found out this morning that its a problem with the recent update, not my Fitbit. I'm wearing my old one until they fix it but I don't like this one as well.

Trish, I don't plan, I track as I go along. After I track breakfast and lunch then I see how many calories I have left for dinner and try to eat accordingly. Sometimes it works, sometimes I go over.

I am down to 190 today and bp and bs doing very well. I would still like to get bs back under 110 but I guess staying under 120 w/o meds is a good thing so I won't sorry about it. On SF I've only used 16 of my weeklies this week counting from Monday when I successfully got back OP.

Carol Sue Today I tracked after ate breakfast and knew what we are eating for lunch. Then I planned what I want to eat for dinner to hold me over until I get home from the beauty shop and store since I don't want to eat before I leave since I don't eat until 11 am on most days. I plan to go to $Tree and the local grocery store since I want to get a rotisserie chicken because DBIL is working tomorrow. Even then I had to stretch it to get 1000 calories which I probably will not eat, but it satisfies MFP. I actually found a way to take the sodium count off so I don't see when I eat over. I put calcium count in place of it and find it interesting that I'm not getting enough calcium which surprises me. Not sure where to pick that up. It may be just today since we are having chili dogs today. I planned oatmeal for dinner and might could eat a little more than usual to get the calcium.

I didn't get any exercise in today because I got up late. I really need to start doing my bike while talking to her.

Hope you have a winning day at the casino to reward you for going along with your DH.

Have a good day everybody.

Well thanks for the wishes but it was a terrible day at the casino. Yuk! Even DH was mad, but you know that won't stop him from going.

I bought meat and cabbage to make stuffed cabbage rolls over the weekend. I told DH I want to make them once a month. Its supposed to be a cold, snowy weekend.

Carol Sue Sorry for the bad casino day. And no your DH won't stop going because he is hooked. That is his thing line movies are my DH.

I had another good day. Calories under 1200 and I checked some of the other PP counts on some of the foods I eat and found some of them are 0 pts so i haven't used as many as I thought. Less than 15 if I remember correctly. I didn't have the oats because my bran flakes had more fiber and I'm wanting to et more fiber. I take a calcium pill each day so hopefully that covers the what I need to have 100% daily that I need.

Headed to bed early to try to get 7 hrs sleep. I hope I can go to sleep. Good night.

I slept ok. I feel rested but I only slept <7 hours. I tried to fall back to sleep but I guess that's all my body needed. Now I'm waiting for DH to get up because he helps blanch the cabbage. He will be up soon.

What kind of movies does DH watch? My DH watches car repair shows.

Carol Sue It is hard to pinpoint one particular type of things he watches because he likes just about everything. When we moved from FL and the guy came out to estimate the cost of the move he called DH Movie Library Blockbuster. When we moved here, my nephew said he could come here and borrow movies from his uncle instead of renting them. We don't buy as many as we used to but he will still look and pick up $5 movies at Walmart. I am so used to it that half the time I sit and play games when they are on because he will think I'm watching when I'm not interested in the gory ones. The only ones he doesn't care for are my love stories that I like. I used to watch those when he was asleep but I'm not one to watch movies over and over like he does. Buying them never interested me because once I see one I'm through with it. Although I do have my favorite Christmas classics.

Well since I'm up early today I don't know if my weight is really up to 191 or not since according to MFP I did get a lot of sodium and it did show on my bp this morning. It was really high for my age and size but high for me. So it probably is. I hate bouncing but I know it happens so I may as well get used to it. I think I have talked myself out of going to $Tree but will see how I feel about and how fast I get out of the beauty shop. I like to miss the rush. Since a lot of people don't get paid till Monday, maybe it won't be so bad.

Trish, I have 2 boxes full of DVD movies that I bought from Goodwill. They are $2, but on half price day they are $1, so I got a lot of them for $1. Most of them are romantic comedies. I don't like to watch them over again so I will give them away and buy more. The bad thing is, DH can't sit long enough to watch a movie. He will watch part of a tv movie then change the channel. He buys DVDs of the older tv shows, Mary Tyler Moore, and the newer ones like Friends.

I forgot to weigh this morning because I started the cabbage then I ate halushky at 11:00. I was surprised that I got 28 cabbage rolls from 1 cabbage and 3 lbs of meat, and they are BIG. I sometimes get double that but they are smaller. We will have them all weekend. They will be done around 3. My eating window will be around 5 hours today.

Carol Sue My Daddy was like your DH. When I would go visit with him and Mama she would insist I go do down to the bedroom and visit with him which was watching tv. I learned with Daddy not to get too interested in anything he was watching because you probably would never get to see the ending of it. When I worked at the prison, DH#2 and I got a satellite because in the country and cable didn't come out that far. One of the guards told me that that wouldn't work for her and her DH because if he had 200 stations that he would just have more to cruise through and never watch. LOL

Well, I ended up going to the $Tree after all. I can buy the toothpaste for a $1 there and the name brand is almost $4 or more in the store. Of course I bought other things too including a birthday card for my daughter whose BD is Monday. She will be 55 this year. I can't believe this. Where has the time gone.

DS said her daughter said we need to wear 2 or 3 masks at one time when we go out. I have difficulty breathing wearing one sometime so there is no way I could double or triple it. DS and DBIL got their vaccine shot Wednesday. One of the side effects is aching joints and bones and DS has been feeling bad with the pain. DBIL has had no side effects. I had said I would take it if the doctor thinks we should when we see him, but I read of the medical technician who took the brand DS & BIL took and died within 4 days after the second shot. Since they aren't sure it works in the first place, makes me wonder if it is worth the risk. They have to go back for the 2nd shot on Valentines day. I won't tell her about the guy if she doesn't hear about it but I surely will be praying for her. I haven't told DH about the guy yet either. I'm waiting to see if the guy had some other problem that he would have such a reaction. I didn't see anyone in the stores even workers wearing more than one mask and I couldn't find anything on line about it either. So not sure where DN got her info. She is in college to become a PA so she may have heard it there.

I've managed to keep my calories low each day this week. In fact, I had one day that was between 900 to 1000. I never added to it. I've got 1000 to 1200 planned for today but I'm feeling full so not sure it will happen. I do like being able to track on MFP and then print out my plan for future reference. I think the fiber I am working on eating is going to be very helpful to keep away any BM issues I have when I don't eat it. I actually bought a MG cheerio's because it is a 0 pt food on SF. I can have it for evening snack with banana and FF yogurt and it will all be 0 pts. By the end of the day I will have used 16 pts of weeklies since Monday. This way of eating is so easy to do and keep my calories fairly low and get the fiber I need as well and I am eating food that I really like. Sometimes it is hard to eat the calories I can have but that is okay.

I sure hope we have a good evening and that I can keep doing as well as I have so far this week. I'm noticing the sodium probably is my problem but I don't know what to do about it. I'll have to talk to doc about it when I see him.

Trish, the sodium might raise your fluid levels but remember, it is not a fat gain. I will be curious to see what the doctor says about it but I remember at one time your tests showed your sodium levels were low.

I have heard about wearing 2 masks now that they are finding the new strain of the virus. I have not seen anyone doing it. I heard of people dying after getting the vaccine. The article I read said they were older people and they don't know if they died of other causes. Hank Aaron, the baseball player was one of them. He died 2 weeks after getting the vaccine. And there were many others.

Right now I'm not sure if I want the vaccine or not but the decision is being made for me because there is none available. Two of our friends are trying to get them because he is a school bus driver. He said as soon as someone announces that they have vaccine the appointments are all taken within minutes. Once the vaccine is readily available I will have to make a decision. Many of the health care workers have refused it and it makes you wonder what they know.

Today I'm up to 192.2. Up Down Up Down. I got up this morning and went to the bathroom and heard a strange noise. Then the toilet wouldn't flush. The tank wasn't filling. I got that working but I wonder how long the water was running. Then I came out into the kitchen to open the blind and the curtain fell down. Then I went to turn on my phone and the battery was totally dead. I feel like its Friday the 13 th. I want to wash the kitchen curtains so maybe they were telling me today is the day.

I feel like I slept well, but I will have to wait til my phone charges to see what the Fitbit apps says.

Fitbit says I slept great and I agree!

The day got worse. I was cleaning the roaster that was used to cook the cabbage rolls and dumped the water on the rug in front of the sink. So it went into the washer along with the curtains that fell down so now they are back in place nice and clean. I also washed the rug from the front door but its not dry yet. And I cleaned the bathroom except for the rugs.

Also, Fitbit apparently fixed the problem they were having so that's working now, too.

I ate eggs for breakfast, late, and some cabbage rolls for lunch. Now I'm not hungry for dinner. DH won't be happy but its his fault for cooking for me. I was reading online about how important it is to start the day with protein and fat. My body really is happy when I eat eggs but my overall total calories are better when I don't. I don't want to go back to eating them every day but won't give them up altogether. A happy medium.

We didn't get the snow I thought we were supposed to get. Now we are supposed to get it tomorrow into Monday, and have snow off and on til Wed. Thursday the temps are going back to the 40s. One more month of winter and then spring will be coming!

I over slept this morning. I woke up with achy bones but when I got up to go to the bathroom it was gone and I've felt pretty good today. I wanted to use the recumbent bike today but no time so will skip it today. I've got enough house cleaning to be the exercise for today.

Weight this morning was 189.4 so maybe yesterdays 191 was just water from the sodium. I will have to watch that more. BP is back down as well so I'm sure that was it. Pizza is good but all that sauce and cheese is so salty. I may have to make smaller one from now on.

Carol Sue Sorry about your bad start of the day. Hopefully the bad start will have a good ending. I pray it will get better.

I don't really like bouncing up and down with my weight. I am slowing learning that I may be making more out of it than it is. Perhaps it is normal. You know when I was young an thin, I never weighed myself at home. In fact, I don't remember having a scale. Now it is the second thing I do every morning if you know what I mean. It is a habit. Some how I have to learn how to make it work for me since I can't seem to break the habit.

I am really learning a lot by combining Simply Filling plan and using MFP to keep up with the calories that I didn't want to count. LOL It is nice because I'm eating more of the foods that I really enjoy and I am finding that I'm not being tempted to overeat. In fact, sometimes I don't eat it all. I keep what I can eat later or throw out what I know I won't eat later. I think it is the freedom to choose from all foods even the ones that are supposed to be counted. However, the ones that are to be counted, I'm learning to control portions so I am able to eat enough to satisfy my hunger or taste for them. This is how I ate when I was thin and I honestly believe that this is the way normally thin people do eat except they don't count calories, points or anything else.

Not sure what I'm going to eat today. DH is having cream of chicken soup because he likes it with the peanuts he bought the other day. So I'm on my own. I've had a Fiber One bar with a cup of coffee for brunch at 1 pm. I actually fasted from 8 last night until 1 except for my coffee with the protein as my creamer. Oh, yesterday I stopped using Stevia in the coffee. I decided since I can have the protein shake in my coffee for 0 pts that I don't need to be adding it. If I remember right it has 1 g of sugar so I decided that I don't need to add a sweetener with it. It is taking some getting used to but it works.

Hope everybody is having a good day.

Trish, the bounce on the scale is normal. It is fluid, caused by hormones. We don't care about water. We want to lose fat. It doesn't really have much to do with what you ate unless you really had a binge. And it does have something to do with your bowel movements. For me, it shows that I am maintaining because I go up and down within 3-4 lb range. If I was following a strict plan and I only weighed once a week I would probably lose a lb or so per week. But I don't follow any real plan.

I never used to weigh daily. I didn't want to see the number go up. I would only weigh if I felt thin. Then I would finally get on the scale after a couple weeks to see how much damage I'd done. The reason I started weighing daily is because this scale registers to an app on my phone and also shows up automatically on Fitbit and MFP. It has a permanent record of my weight every day. I don't know which is better. I don't lose any better weighing daily than not, so it doesn't make any difference except in my frame of mind from seeing the bump ups. I am considering covering up the number on the scale so I won't see it but it will still register on the app.

I had another good day. Calories 1089. Not bad. Tomorrow is to be my WI day. Last Sunday I went crazy with my eating because of it being WI day, but I am not going to do a cheat day any more. I will continue to eat the same everyday. Sure hope to at least have a weight loss this month even if it is a fraction.

Goodnight.
