Mad, I had to stop buying crackers, pierogies and ravioli. I buy saltines because DH eats them but it was me eating the others. Pierogies and ravioli are a once in awhile thing and I haven't bought them in over a year. DH doesn't eat them. His carbs are potatoes and baked goods.

I understand about empty weight. I think my 190 was empty weight but for another reason. (TMI). The 157 is good, anyway.

Trish, I think your DH needed the sleep. I hope he feels better.

If I walk a long time my knee hurts but with the brace it does not. I was diagnosed with OA in 2008 along with my heart surgery and diabetes. I was fine for 60 years then I fell apart. It was ALL due to my weight increase. An ortho on YouTube shows exercises that can be done before surgery to make it go easier and he said if you do them you might not need the surgery. They restore the range of motion. A long time ago a woman told me the recumbent bike helped her knee and that's why I got my first one. I don't know if I would have surgery.

Wt is down .4 to 191.4. It goes up overnight but takes days to come back down. Hormones influence it and there's nothing we can do but be patient. Patience is paying off for you, Trish. You are firmly in the 180s. How is your sister doing? Does she still go to the center?

The way I am dealing with the crackers is eating croutons. However, I took the store brand whole wheat bread that we don't really like and made my own croutons so that I won't eat the saltines other than when I eat soup. Now that I know how to make them, I need to learn how to put flavor to them with out adding pts as the plain ones are 0 on SF.

Weight was back up to 188.8 but only empty gain since I got up late and didn't have a trip to the potty. FBG and BP good so all is well. I ended up fasting until we got home from Sam's and got our KFC. KFC wasn't all that good but it looked like she was working all by herself. I've worked in fast food where we didn't have enough help so I understand that one. I did get some more Premier sakes at Sam's because I want to start drinking one each day besides what I put in my coffee. I hope to start having more days of what I call liquid fasting. I call it that because I put Stevia and Premier shake for the creamer. I am not going to cook for just me in the evening other than pop corn once in a while so I need to drink a Premier shake with it.

DH did good walking but was really tired when he got home. Last night he wanted to go to Sam's and then drive across town to get the oil changed and have the car washed but I'm glad I said no because that would have been to much too soon.

Carol Sue I found exercises online for sciatica pain. I printed them out and he did a few sitting in his chair. I also found one I did this morning when I did what I call my core exercises they taught him to do when he had neck surgery. I still need to do the recumbent bike later today. I think that bike has kept me from being crippled. I'm slower when I walk especially without using my cane but I think that is more from a fear of falling than anything else.

Mad I'm glad you knee was better today and hope it continues to improve.

I'm not sleeping as long as I should be and I really don't like sleeping late. My problem has been not sleeping until 2 or 3 in the morning. I have to get up early tomorrow to go to the beauty shop as I'm getting highlights. So I'm going to take a nap now. I hope everybody is having a good day.

Trish, I noticed that my walking is getting better. In the stores I have a cart and also going out to the car but going into the store I used to take DHs arm. Lately I have been able to walk out ahead of him and I've been pretty steady. I'm better walking around the casino too. My problem is usually when I'm tired at the end of the day.

I got my stimulus check today but DH didn't get his. It said online that he will have to file for it when we file our income tax. That makes me angry. We still didn't get our tax refund from 2019 so I don't have much faith in the IRS. If we owed them money I bet we would be hearing from them! I stopped our deductions so next year they won't be getting any money from us.

Wt is down .4 again today to 191.0. And sleep score last night was 87. The night before it was 83. So better sleep 2 nights in a row. The Cpap has a tendency to dry out the nasal passages and my nose gets stuffed up. I've been putting some Vicks in the opening of my nostrils and I think that helps me breathe better during the night. That's the only thing that's different that I know of. The only thing I take now is Tart Cherry and Tylenol if my back hurts.

So I feel refreshed this morning.

Carol Sue Good to see your weight and sleeping getting better. I know it makes you feel good as well.

I'm headed out to the beauty shop in a few moments to get highlights. Since they didn't have my milk yesterday, I will be going to the store over there and get our milk and probably get the stuff to make our yogurt as well. I think I'm going to make mine low fat rather than fat free. I always have leftover when making DH full fat yogurt, so I will take what is left of us and add FF half & half to make mine. Since I'm adjust the SF to fit my lifestyle, that should work. Besides I don't eat it everyday. Plus I am using 1 of the free 2 tsp of oil I can have as EVOO in my coffee each day. Not as good as using the full amount but better. I could use the full 2 tsp in coffee and then know that the lower fat margarine is counted which I don't use often any way.

Fatmad I hope your day went well yesterday.

Y'all have a good day.

I didn't eat breakfast today but had a lunch of shredded cabbage, onion and turnips. I used teaspoon of butter and added water with the lid on to steam it. It made about a cup altogether of nutritious vegetables. Also it was low calorie except for the teaspoon of butter and we will probably go out for dinner tonight so I have extra calories available. It depends on what DH wants for dinner. I let him choose because he is pickier than I am.

I hope you like your highlights. My hair needs to be highlighted again now that I got it cut.

We went out for dinner early because its supposed to snow. I didn't want to be too far from home if it did so we had salmon at a local restaurant. It was very good. We still want to go to Texas Roadhouse when there's no snow predicted. I finished up with 1052 calories for the day. I have some wiggle room if I get hungry.

Carol, does your CPAP not have a humidifier on it? All of mine have always had that. I see some without, that are for travel, only.
I don't have a problem with dryness at all, but there are ways to increase the amount of humidity. There are youtube videos showing how to adjust the CPAP when you search the type you have.

Knee was not bad today, did my exercises. My puzzle is slowly getting done. Had 3 hrs of meetings today, all well with that.

I stuck carefully to keto yesterday and was rewarded with staying at 157. I fasted today again. Planning to eat tomorrow and see how things go.

Keep up the good work friends. and stay active.

Yes, my Cpap has a humidifier but I still get a stuffed up nose. It has to do with sinus drainage. My nose runs constantly and I'm always blowing it. I never saw any videos on how to adjust it.

No scale today. I feel fat and don't want to see the number. We bought French bread at Wal-Mart. 'Nuff said.

The snow never came yesterday so we could have gone to Texas Roadhouse. I don't like to go on a weekend.

I only slept 5.5 hours last night. Woke up at 5 and couldn't fall back to sleep so I got up. Still, the sleep I got was good. Fitbit rated it 79 because it was not enough but I had a good bit of deep and rem sleep. I'm happy with the change.

Tomorrow is my 75 th birthday. I am amazed that I've I lived this long. I am going to bake a cake for myself. For years I've had this recipe for an amazing chocolate cake. Everyone loved it. I haven't made it for years because no one is here to eat it but I want it for my special birthday. They have bought me beautiful birthday cakes but no one ever baked one for me. It may seem strange to bake your own birthday cake but that's how you get what you want! I will share it with step daughter because it will be too much for us. I also want spaghetti for my birthday dinner but I don't know how DH will feel about that. He doesn't like spaghetti, but he can eat something else if he wants. This is my day and I want what I want.

He mentioned going to the casino for my birthday but I told him I want to NOT go for my birthday!

Carol Sue I couldn't help but laugh at DH wanting to go to casino for your birthday. He does try doesn't he. LOL Happy day before your birthday. I agree you should bake the cake for your BD.

I should have stayed off the scales as yesterdays up when I weighed was there this morning with a little more. It is my fault because I've been overeating. I realized that I always do this a week or two before I have to go to the doctor. I'm not sure why. I see the doctor on the 8th of February so it is time for me to stop this starting today.

I've decided that I am not a fasting person any more. I can wait until 10 or 11 to eat brunch and then I need to stop eating at night unless I have the Premier shake and maybe some popcorn. But I didn't do too well the last 2 days and weight is back up to 192.2. I slept off and on all evening yesterday and didn't drink much water. So that doesn't help with the weight loss either. Weather is going to be better the next week so maybe I can drink more water. Yesterday wasn't a good day for DH pain wise and if things are in a routine he should have a better day today. It seems that to be good days every other day since the f all. I still believe he will get better but will take time because he doesn't move around as much as he should. That is another thing for me too as I didn't do as much exercise this past week as I should have.

I didn't get up until 10am very rare for me so I'm running late on everything I have to do so I better get busy.

Have a good day dear ones.

Trish, I could eat in a shorter window if it wasn't for DH. If he didn't cook things I wouldn't see them and want them. I ate scrambled eggs and toast this AM then French fries at lunch. So I got NY Strip steak out to defrost for dinner. I hope I can just eat that and some veggies to balance things out for the day. They are small thin steaks. After my birthday celebration I would like to do a very strict week to end the month with a drop. I think I will make home made sauce for my spaghetti tomorrow instead of jarred. Do it up big. That's another thing I haven't made for a while, home made sauce. I've been buying the Hunts in a can. It's tasty and only $1. The home made isn't hard, but it makes more than I need. Maybe I'll freeze some.

Trish, I wonder if you are overeating because you cancelled your WW membership. What do you think? I had that happen when I quit going to the meetings. There was something about the meetings that kept me in line. It was like going to church on Sunday. LOL I think if they still had meetings and they were near my house I would go.

My day went better today but still room for improvement. I wanted a snack tonight but decided to have turkey/swiss cheese rollup. Drank more water and hope that helps as well.

Carol Sue I wondered if giving up WW is the problem or not and could still go back to it since my membership doesn't stop until Feb 16. Not sure. I'm think it is just a lot of things going on right now. For one thing I'm kind of bored. If I don't get things straightened out in the next week or so, I won't end my membership.

I snacked all evening yesterday and now the scale is up. I saw 193 and jumped off before it registered to the app so I didn't see the whole number. It made me so mad at myself that I didn't want to bake the cake. But it was a family favorite and this will probably be the last time I bake it so I will. I was also second guessing the spaghetti because DH doesn't like it but he can do something he doesn't like for once. Its only one day.

I had a bad dream and that's bothering me too, but it was just a dream. I know they say it comes from your sub conscious and it's something you have on your mind. I hope I forget about it as the day goes on.

The cake is done. I tasted some of the batter and that made me glad I made it. I remember how good it is. So now I forgot about my bad dream and I'm in a better mood. I'll take my shower and get cleaned up and I'll feel much better.

Angry Confirmed loss in danger!

Carol: Happy Birthday!
Mad: Glad to hear the knee is feeling better!
Trish: I hear you on not being a fasting person any more. That's where I'm at too but I want to get back to it.

Last weekend, I went skiing. I thought I was going to be able to do a quick check-in but the phone service and WIFI were not great. I had a great time skiing. Usually, I stick to the beginner hill even though I have been skiing a long time. This go around, I did branch out the the intermediate hill. I also tried a different set of skis but like mine better.

Eating wise this week was terrible. It was the second highest week calorie wise since I started tracking. The highest week was Thanksgiving so kind of understandable. I am doing poorly now and am starting to give back some of my hard won losses. This is directly tied to the Covid restrictions. They are making me sicker and don't really seem to be slowing the spread. Yesterday, I learned my niece (minor) has Covid. Hopefully she will recover quickly.

I am stalled out in my weight loss journey and struggling to get back on-track. I don't know what to do with myself- sigh. Part of it is my fatigue has been really bad lately. That led to my bad decisions yesterday.
