Pipsicle I consider 13.5 lb loss a very good loss too. We didn't have big losses but we had losses and that is wonderful as far as I'm concerned. It means we didn't give up and quit and we won't either. Have a good week.

Carol Sue I think we do better when we aren't so compulsive about the weight loss and just relax and work our plan. Some days or weeks will be better than others but I think if we could do so much better if we didn't stress over it. I know that is true for me. I've been so obsessed with losing weight that I think it has kept me from becoming successful a weight loss.

I ended up with 6 unused points so I will lose 2 of those which is good.

Yes, I agree that losing 2 points is better than eating when you're not hungry. My Wt is back down to 192.2 so that .8 bump up was fluid. Here's another question. When you roll over those 4 points do you ever use them? It seems you have 4 left over the next day too. I think you have this plan working so well that your body uses about the same points every day. That's good, as you have made so many changes that work well for you.

I on the other hand have to find a way to cut back again. Last night I didn't eat after dinner and I am feeling hunger now. But that might change after I've had my coffee and I might be able to extend my fast out a little longer. If my hunger doesn't subside I will eat. I have to go to Target today and that will be around 10 am.

I am feeling some pain from exercising. My chest and arms hurt from the counter push ups. I had to take Tylenol Arthritis this morning. I rarely take it at bedtime anymore. I can alter the way I'm doing them to effect my triceps instead of my chest and do them only once a day. My legs hurt a little bit too but I can handle a little bit. It tells me its doing something.

Hi friends; 160 today. I can barely make it through fasting and eat, overeat and eat too much junk on my eating days. I have to stop that.
I am going to do fasting meal plans this week. That is, decide when I am fasting, when and what I am eating, and stick to that for the week, and see where I am on Monday next week. So here I go.
Today is fasting. I will plan the meals for the rest of the week, which is hard, one thing I like about fasting is NOT thinking about food. But clearly, what I have been doing is NOT working. So up to me to make changes, I can't blame anyone else.
I am also bummed about not walking and exercising enough. I sat outside and visited with neighbours yesterday, which was really good. I am getting blue with being cooped up so much. Again, up to me to change that. But the knee is still painful and I can only do so much.

Have a good day friends.

Mad, did you find out if you need surgery for the knee? I had 2 friends who had torn meniscus, one I know had surgery and I'm not sure about the other.

I too have no one but myself to blame for my lack of success if I want to be honest, but sometimes it helps to blame DH. I am the one who puts the food in my mouth.

This morning he made pancakes without asking if I wanted any. But didn't put them in front of me. I was starting to get a headache so I cooked one well done eggs to put on top of a pancake. I like that with a pancake or waffle but we rarely have them, thank God. I can easily overeat on them.

Not much to report today. Weight is bouncing as it is 190 today. Maybe a loss is on its way. I can only hope. The last 2 days I have planned my meals the night before. Sometimes I change the veggies or dinners but that will get better as I get in the habit of doing it again. Years ago when I was in OA, we planned our meals usually the night before or early that day and then called it into our sponsor. So I've decided to do that using the WW app. It is amazing how it can work for you.

Today we are going to Sam's and Walmart and I will get enough walking for that to be my major exercise today. We will get KFC and I will eat 2 pieces of dark meat and eat Brussel sprouts with it. I will end up with 13 pts for lunch and I've had 1 pt already for breakfast as I had 2 eggs and 1 sl toast. Not sure if I will eat anything tonight but I will make it 0 pts whatever it is. I plan to get some frozen greens and some FF low sodium broth to cook them in.

Sinuses acting up which isn't unusual after a rainy week since something gets stirred up. I checked the covid symptoms because of us going out, but I don't have any of the symptoms so I'm good.

Fatmad Sorry you are having a difficult time. I hope you can get things straightened out and working for you again.

Carol Sue You are right. That soreness tells you you are doing something right. I sleep better now that I am eating healthy and exercising again.

Hope we all have a good day.

Trish, I don't plan my meals. Even if I did, DH would not agree. Today he wanted to go to the casino since they reopened today. I said No because they said people were lined up to get in the one in Pittsburgh. I would prefer to wait til Thursday like we used to do but I don't think he'll wait. I wanted to go out to eat because restaurants opened too, but he said no. I guess to punish me. I think he's 78 going on 5. So he made some ground meat and potatoes dish he likes and we ate that. I don't think the casinos will pay out for awhile because they have to make up for the money they lost being closed. He doesn't care. He just wants to gamble.

I'm still hungry . I didn't eat after breakfast because I thought we would go out for dinner. I think I will cook some vegetables.

I went way over my daily but still have quite a bit of weeklies left over as I did track everything I ate. Don' know why I do that. I plan to try to fast tomorrow until we eat lunch and I plan to cook fish.

It happens, Trish. Some days we do good and some days not. It might not matter on the scale. Yesterday I did good most of the day because I thought we would go out to eat and I wanted to make sure I was hungry. I should do that every day. I still felt hungry after eating the dinner that DH made so I cooked some carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. By the time they were done I wasn't hungry anymore so I only ate a few pieces and put the rest away for today. Then at bedtime I ate some cereal. I have been eating cereal and adding some Fiber One cereal to it because I don't like just Fiber One. Well, that gave me a 10-12 hour eating window! I don't have to have a < 8 hour window every day. Most of the food I ate was healthy so I was ok with that. The happy ending to the day was this morning when I was down .8 on the scale. So you never know what will happen. The reason you carry points over each day and have the weeklies is for days when you go over. To go off plan you would have had to use all your points, all your rollover points, all your weeklies and your exercise points. So you ate a little more, but did not go off plan. It will be ok, even if you get a bump up. You are doing good.

I want to note as I typed in bold that in the 10-15 minutes that it took to cook those vegetables my hunger went away. It took my body a while to realize that the food I ate for dinner was really enough. It didn't need more. This is my goal. To just eat what my body needs. I don't expect this to happen in a snap. But its happening once in a while. I think this is why it doesn't matter if I go to bed on an empty stomach. Occasionally I get tempted to get up and eat something but then I feel nice and warm in bed and I just relax and fall asleep instead. This probably wouldn't work if I was ravenously hungry but I don't let myself get that bad. If I get shaky or get a headache then I know I'm too far gone and I eat. So you don't just wake up one day and make a lifestyle change. You do something today, then do it again next week then soon its happening more often. Baby steps. I don't need to get a big whoosh for it to be significant. Just a little blip.

I'm going to have to check the weather report because I wouldn't be surprised if DH wants to go to the casino.

HI friends: it sounds like the new year did bring us some resolve to work harder and use what we know will succeed for us.
I sat down with DH and made some meal plans for the week. He is surprisingly good with that. All our married lives he has resisted meal planning, preferring to decide on the day, even planning supper in the morning was something he resisted. I think it helps knowing he can be "free" to have what he wants on my fasting days helps a little, and maybe it won't last. But anyway, I managed my fast yesterday fine.
I am 158 today.
Plan is for bacon and eggs for brunch, and he can make toast or have bread with his if he wants.
Then a stir-fry for supper. I will have my cauliflower rice. I am doing ok with that, as long as I take a "Beano" tablet with it. I found out when I did the low FODMAP elimination diet 3 years ago (when I found out I was gluten intolerant) that I am somewhat sensitive to cruciferous veggies, especially in large amounts. I love cabbage and broccoli and cauliflower. But I do get bad gas from them, and that leads to abdominal pain as well. The beano tablets help with that. I also find I have trouble really limiting the servings of these veggies, because I like them so much. So this is my fix, because otherwise, they are so good for me to eat anyhow.
That's my plan for the day, easy enough I think, it will be avoiding the snacking that will be difficult.

Friends, I hope you get through your days according to plan as well.

Here we go!

Mad, I also love cruciferous vegetables but maybe I don't eat enough to cause issues.

DH and I don't like to plan meals ahead. When I was raising the family I planned so I would know what to buy. I cooked and they ate, but that was when I rarely ate dinner. I would read the paper while they ate.

Now neither of us like to plan. We don't know what we are going to want until the last minute. And because we eat out a lot, it works. Also, since I'm concentrating on eating less now, I want my food to be something I really want at the time and enjoy.

I keep buying Cabot Greek Yogurt, full fat but I end up throwing it out when it goes bad. The last one I threw out wasn't even opened. I want to eat it but somehow I don't. A couple times I mixed in some sugar free coffee creamer that I no longer use in my coffee. Today I found some more ideas. I can make yogurt cheese. I have a container that you put yogurt in to drain and it gets thicker. I can use that to make yogurt cheese which is like cream cheese but healthier, and mix in some finely chopped veggies and use that for eating with raw veggies like celery. Another idea I saw was to mix in some vanilla whey protein powder to make it like vanilla pudding. I bought whey protein powder to make shakes but never make them. That would make the yogurt have way more protein. I hope one of these will help me start eating the yogurt.

I was able to convince DH to wait til Thursday to go to the casino. We got some snow showers this morning. No accumulation but blowing snow can cause slick spots. And he wants to go to Texas Roadhouse today! A win win! Salmon!!

I had Kohls cash so I bought new jeans. I got a 14 because the16s only fit right fresh from the dryer. The 14s fit perfect but they might not once they are washed and dried. But it feels very good to be wearing them and they area 14 petite! Happy!

Nothing new here. I've been taking meds at night for the allergy so I can sleep and I slept through the night and late. I haven't been hungry so far today so only had 2 c coffee today. I'm trying to cut back some on coffee as I've been drinking too much.

Fish is on the menu today cooked in a beer batter my DD swears tastes like LJS without the deep frying. I've go to go on YouTube and see if I can learn if I can make it in my air fryer. I want mashed potatoes and veggies with mine.

Carol Sue I bought so me cereal to eat and I forget about it. It was 0 pts on SF, but I'm sure it might have to be counted at least 4 pts on Purple. I'll have to check. I'm glad y'all are able to start going out to eat again as that should help with your woe.

Fatmad Glad your DH is working with you on the meal planning. I'm not sure my DH would do that or not. He likes to leave it to me probably because he knows I'm working with pts. Yesterday he was talking about getting a ready made cheese pizza from Walmart and bringing it home and adding out toppings. Then he said "I know you are working toward 0 to 1 pts foods". Even at that I will check it out.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Trish how did you cook your beer batter fish? I wonder if DH would eat that?

I finally got my salmon at Texas Roadhouse. It was good. Its healthy and low calorie but the things I ate with it were not. Oh well.

DH baked a cake tonight. A box mix with frosting and all. He doesn't have any store bought treats.

well; today the meal planning worked. DH was happy with the food, and I was easily full enough not to snack. Will see how I feel tomorrow.
I hear you about not wanting to plan, or having a resistant spouse.
Mine was always resistant before, but every day he was asking whether I was fasting or what.
I wanted to check with him that he was willing to eat what I wanted to make. For some reason he was on board, unusually.
We will see if it lasts, early days yet.
My doc appointment was good, X-rays ordered, I will start physiotherapy now that the new year is here and holidays are over.

Blessings friends: sleep well!

Sounds like we all had a good day. I had 4 pts that will rollover to tomorrw.

Carol Sue I bought a product called Beer Batter by Louisiana but it had a bite to it and DH didn't like it. Plus I used it on tilapia and I think it was old because it was mushy. I won't be using it again since DH doesn't like it. DS told me that Gordon's makes one with the beer batter already on it that is good so I am going to try to get a package of it. I'm tired of trying to cook it and I don't really want to cook in oil if I can stop it.

Good night Dear Friends.

Trish, I bought a package of fish coating but didn't like it. It's don't like a lot of spices to the flavor. I think anything by Louisiana would be too spicy for me. I would be ok if I lightly coated it and baked it but DH wouldn't like it Sigh. I also don't like Gordon's or any other frozen fish. There is usually too much breading and not enough fish. I guess I will stick with the restaurants who have fish I like. I like most any fish but don't like any fast food fish, like McDonalds or Arbys That is just fish compressed together. When I was single I used to eat McDonalds fish.

No meal plans yet for today but I know I am too full for breakfast.
I did not sleep long enough, only 5.5 hours but it was good sleep. I feel fat after my big meal yesterday so I'm not getting on the scale. I guess I was celebrating the reopening of restaurants.
