Mad, CBD oil is sold here. I don't know about THC. I am uninformed about such things and don't know if I would use it. I fall asleep in an instant but I wake up several times and can't always fall back to sleep. DH is amazed that I can be talking to him and then snoring 1 second later. I bought some 1 mg Melatonin thinking I could increase to 2 or 3 as needed. With 1 mg I was so groggy when I got up to go to the bathroom I won't take it again. Trish said the Tart Cherry extract makes her groggy but it has no effect on me, and I take 3000 mg or IU, which is the max. I take it for gout, not sleep. Since I have nowhere to go I can nap if desired.

Weight down to 189.4 today. Hope it stays through tomorrow for WI day and even that will be a gain for this week. I think I over did bulk yesterday as I had terrible gas and indigestion. I looked up the symptoms of covid on line and I still don't have any of those so it was just indigestion. I've been feeling bloated lately and the only thing I can think of is the salad blend that I use that has a lot of cabbage that has kale and what looks like chopped brussel sprouts. I don't remember what else. I cut up some tomato, onion etc and then add that with a little bit of romaine lettuce. It is just so much easier to do that sometimes since we eat salad everyday. I remember one time before when I got to the place I couldn't eat cabbage. So I guess I'll have to give it up for a while.

I was going to go with DH to the store tomorrow but I'm not sure I will do that or not. According to our reports on line, the mask doesn't protect me from getting the virus when I'm out and about, it is supposed to protect someone else if I have it. Since I don't have any symptoms, I'm not sure why I can't go if I'm wearing gloves and a mask, but I will play it safe both ways and let DH go without me. I heard yesterday if Biden become president that his advisors are saying we need to continue lockdown for 6 weeks. God help us if we have to do this for 6 more weeks. It is so hard to even want to lose weight knowing you can't go any where any more. Oh well, it is what it is and we do find a way to adjust to whatever comes.

Carol Sue I hope you are able to get things fixed and you can get some good sleep. I'm not having any problems sleeping once I go to sleep. I slept really good once I got relief so I could sleep. Ended up getting about as much sleep as I usually do. Didn't help to go to bed an hour earlier because it took about an hour to get relief.

Fatmad I hope your DD enjoys her new place and DH feels better after dental work.

Have a good day everybody.

Trish, Biden won't actually be President until January when he's sworn in so I don't think he can put the lockdown in place until then. It wouldn't bother me to be locked down for 6 weeks as long as I know in advance and can get supplies in. I would love it, actually, since I love to stay home.

We had pork and sauerkraut for dinner. It was very good.

Mad, I applaud your DD for wanting to get her own place. I believe all kids should go out and live on their own, but your daughters have already done that. . I think it helps them be independent responsible adults.

Carol: its just weird. Since her divorce she has a been a "professional" traveller, and only around here for a month or so at a time, usually spring and fall. So we keep her boxes of stuff, ( about 6 bins only) and see her when she is here. Also, when she is "in country" she also visits her friends, so is actually in the house very little.
SO generally, she no need or use for her own place. And of course, at the start of things in March, we were thinking it was temporary, and we just kind of went along month to month. Fortunately too, she has an online job, so has income with health safety. But if that changes, so will her living plans.
But I feel bad for her to spend so much on housing, instead of saving up her money, but realized that that is exactly what working people do all the time.
I just had to get my head around that. She makes a fraction of what she did before her divorce (teachers here are reasonably well paid, and have a great benefits and retirement plan) as well, so I feel doubly worried. But she is doing what adults do, nothing more, and she is strong and independent. I have to celebrate that my daughters are strong and competent women. I love them and are amazed by them, and like everyone else, will have problems and challenges, and will meet those as I did. How different yet still hard it is parenting adults!
I know my father worried for us as he was dying, and hoped to leave some money for us, which he did. We would have preferred for him to have the health to have spent that money on living a good life.
Well, all of this has nothing to do with eating/diet.
I over ate yesterday, and am fasting today. Fasting has been going ok, I am managing it will. I am feeling less need to feed DH or make sure he gets more veggies in his diet etc. Not feeling the need to cook for others when its a fasting day. Getting to accept how things are.
Have not wanted to go beyond about 40-44 hours yet, but may do so at some point.
Have a good day friends.

WI today was 189 down .4 lbs from yesterday but up .4 lbs from last weeks WI. Not bad. I'm learning that eating my pts does seem to work better for weight loss. I was really surprised weight was down from my high of 190.2 this week. Today will be KFC lunch so will go over pts today. There is no getting away from it so not going to worry about it. And I have to say that my sleep is much better and I am feeling great today. I realize I'm not going to eat a meal in the evening and need to figure out a healthy snack for evenings but haven't found it. Tried eating our main meal a little later but DH and I both get hungry but not enough for a meal.

Fatmad The hardest part of parenting for me was when my kids left home. I was glad they were moving on with their lives but I sure did experience the "empty nest syndrome". I was blessed because that is when I got the job working for the prison system and I had friends so that I was so busy. DD was at the house more after she married than when she lived with us. Of course when she ended up divorced she lived with us off and on because I helped her with her children while she worked. I think I worried more about them after they were grown than when they were young. You are blessed to have yours close by. Mine live so far away we never see each other. Nice that we have cell phones and can keep in touch.

Hope everybody has a great day.

Mad, its not as though you are urging her to leave, she wants to, for whatever her reason. She can come back if it doesn't go well. Send her off with a hug and your blessing.

I slept for 7 hours, in 3 different 2+ HR segments. I guess that's better than no sleep. I feel ok. Wt is the same. I'm not eating off plan but too much. My appetite is good right now. I"m getting a 14 HR fast in. I'll get back to it eventually.

My scale is stuck on 192.4, for 3 days. That's ok. Better than bouncing all over the place. I don't think I can stop weighing daily right now. Not seeing the number isn't going to change the number. I don't know how I went so long without weighing in the past. Weeks or months sometimes. It didn't change what I weighed, just changed my knowledge.

I slept for 8+ hours and Fitbit gave me a score of 83. I haven't been out of the 70s or 60s for a while. I woke often but fell right back to sleep. My breathing wasn't good but I need my CPap. I feel rested and happy.

We are going to the tv with WVa casino today as they are giving away turkeys. We got 2 last year. Lines are long. If we can't get them this year I will buy one at Wal-Mart tomorrow. Step daughter gets one from work. They were an off brand of turkeys but they were good. Turkeys are cheap so it doesn't matter. If you don't get a turkey they give you $15 free play.

Our new circuit breakers should come today but tracking says they are in Pittsburgh. Our mailman comes early so we might not get them until tomorrow. I don't want DH to put them in and then leave. I want to be here in case something goes wrong.

I ate scrambled eggs for breakfast and DH also made pancakes. I want some but I won't. I am no longer hungry. When I go in to do the dishes I will proudly throw them away.

We went to Wal-Mart today because they had a prescription for me and DH needed bread. We ended up spending $58. I got the rest of what I need for Thanksgiving and got more toilet tissue and paper towels. You don't get your choice, you take what they have. The only thing I wanted that they didn't have was frozen broccoli. Last year they were always out of cauliflower. This year it's broccoli. They had tons of cauliflower.

I will have to go back tomorrow if we don't get turkeys today.

I started taking a new supplement. I took it before but stopped because it didn't do anything. Now I saw it recommended again and I think I was not taking enough or for long enough. Its an anti-inflammatory/ antioxidant Astaxanthin. It has a slew of benefits. The one I'm mainly interested in is skin, to help with my psoriasis. One person said they saw results after a couple months. There are no bad side effects but one side effect is increased bowel movements. That's the only thing I've noticed so far! LOL. It figures. The last thing I need is more poop! I got it from Wal-Mart but next time I get it I will get it online, A brand that is recommended as the best. All I've got to lose is $$$ and it wouldn't be the first time.

The mail man came and didn't bring the circuit breakers. Tomorrow is another day.

Internet was off all day. Company rebooted but it didn't work. Then the last time DH rebooted the monitor himself, it suddenly started working. So glad it is working again. weight was up only 1 lb after KFC yesterday which is really nice.

Our county allows us to go out with mask in public after 10 days isolation so I went to the store with DH yesterday. I have to say sitting at home for 11 days and not as active as I should have been sure made me weak. I was worn out by the time I got home. I go to the beauty shop tomorrow to get a perm. No toilet paper or paper towels at Sam's. I didn't look at Walmart as I just wanted to get my shopping done and get out of there and get home. I couldn't get my SLMG bread. I found a loaf of 100% Whole Wheat bread that is 1pt a slice. I hope we like it.

Back OP today.

We got our turkeys, but they sure weren't free! They didn't charge us for them but we sure did pay. We would have spent that money anyway and now I don't have to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow. On the way home we stopped for some deli meat for DH and I got some broccoli that I couldn't get at Walmart. It cost twice as much but it was Birds Eye and I get Great Value at Wal-Mart.

Last night we had pork and sauerkraut. DH went to the store for the sauerkraut and he bought Libbys. I usually buy the store brand. What a difference! The Libbys was so tasty! I will always buy that from now on. There's only a few things that I buy name brand.

When we got home our circuit breakers were here so they must have made an extra trip to bring it out. DH will try them out tomorrow. Hopefully they will work and nothing more will need to be done.

The lights are back on! I'm glad nothing else was wrong. I know we will need more work on it eventually. Maybe we can get that taken care of in the spring or fall. If we get it replaced now the power would have to be off for an extended period of time and the furnace would have to be turned off.

The scale is down to 190.4 but its fake, because I had potty issues. It was nice to see, though.

Carol Sue I'm glad the breakers were the only thing wrong at this time. I would think with cold weather coming for y'all that this time of the year isn't the time to have it done. Glad the weight is moving again.

I keep thinking I want to do something other than what I'm doing but I think this Purple plan is exactly what I need at least at this time. I am learning to use my points if and when I need them and not to worry about it or the weight fluctuations. I was so thrilled to see this morning that the weight gain from the KFC meal didn't last. Weight back down to 189.4 this morning. Not 189.2 but at least it didn't stay at 190 or go up more. This tells me what I'm doing is working. I checked point with the slider and marked things. I'm not sure how to do it because I don't know how many points to allow myself for each day as that is an old plan and things were different then. I would have to count everything. So it might be easier to just keep paying the online price and stick with the purple plan online. I will do that for now.

Well I am officially out of quarantine according to CDC rules. According to the article DS sent me from our county, I think I was officially out of it Tuesday and was not breaking any local rules when I went shopping with DH Wednesday. I am feeling great today. Not sure why I didn't feel as good yesterday as I did Wednesday or do today. I am going at noon for a perm and haircut. I've decided to just go get LJS and come home afterwards. I thought about going to the store but Friday before Thanksgiving? I don't think so. We will go out Monday to go to Dollar Tree to get birthday cards to send out next month so I can go get milk or whatever then. I would like to get some cranberry sauce, but not enough to go fight the Thanksgiving shoppers.

I don't think I've been to LJS since I started Purple plan. I eat half order of battered fish which is 3 pts and I get an order of 3 battered shrimp which are 3 pts. That isn't bad at all. My whole lunch will be 12 lbs and breakfast was 0 pts so I have 4 pts for my evening snack which will take 3 pts so I'll have 1 pt to roll over. I've already gained back 1 of the 8 weeklies that I used for the KFC Wednesday. I'm not working to get them back since I've learned it evidently works for me when I use them.

Y'all have a great day.

Trish the old Simply Filling plan had all the free foods plus 49 weeklies. That's what it said online. You are doing great. I MISS LJS and so does DH. I wish they would bring it back. I liked the chicken. DH liked the fish.

I'm happy! I got to sleep with my CPap! It really makes a difference.

I also held my loss and went down another .4 lb. 190.2, so close to the 189 that I want so badly. If I stick to my plan I will get there soon, and I decided I do need a plan. More about that later.

Trish, even with a lockdown you will still be able to go to the store. They can't keep you from getting food for that long. Not everyone has room to store 6 weeks worth of food or the money to buy it all at once. They will close things like hair dressers and restaurants again.

Carol Sue Glad you got to sleep with CPac? Was your sleep better? I had forgotten about the Simply Filling plan. I used to do a combo of that and Flex SP and a lot of WW didn't like it when some of us did that. I will have to check into that. I really do like the plan just don't want to be stuck with WW online to do it. However, I plan to stay with the online plan until I can successfully switch to an at home way of doing it without the online plan.

DH read that our governor says he isn't going to do lockdown. However, he has allowed each county/city do their own thing so I assume we will continue doing what we are doing with wearing masks. We will still be able to shop and go to the beauty shop. I love my new hair cut. I have curls front, sides and crown and then straight in the back. That way when I have to use my neck pillow I don't mess up the back of my hair and since I sleep with that pillow it makes it easier each morning when I get up to dress. just run a comb through the back and move on.

DBIL has strep throat and is on antibiotic. He was tested again yesterday to see if he has covid since DS had it. Her doctor says she is still going through it and she is past the 14 days. So that raises a lot of questions. I noticed Wednesday when DH and I went to Walmart that there were people there not wearing their masks. That kind of surprises me since they have a sign on the door to wear them. My beautician says she can't get it again now that she has had it. I told DS that this morning and she said she isn't sure that is true. I think that is why it was good for the president to shut things down when he did. There are still so many unknowns about this and too much mixed stories that no one knows that to believe. The best thing is to take the precautions you can and pray.

Weight bounced up today to 190.8 and we are having home made pizza today so will need to drink a lot of water I guess to flush out the sodium. I think the sodium in takeout causes ups so I need to start drinking more water. WW says all liquid counts but I don't believe it. I'm of the old school that we need more water. It is just hard for me to do when it starts getting cold weather.

I need to stop writing so much. Y'all have a great day.

Hi friends: glad things are going well . I did not sleep well last night, trying a new THC/CBD oil supplement. I will try a different dose tonight and if that does not do it, will consider trying a different strain.
I am still struggling re eating and weight, but did well with fasting this week. I am eating today, and will figure out my next moves, planning to fast tomorrow.
DH and I have both been tested this week as he has cold symptoms. Just waiting on results, I hope his will be later today or tomorrow at the latest. I just got tested a couple of hours ago, and I don't know how often the swabs get taken from the testing centre to the lab. Perhaps not until evening, so i would expect mine by Monday night. The only exposure we figure he had was going to the dentist. They are super careful there, but colds live on surfaces really well, so maybe he got it that way.
As usual, I have no signs of a cold. If I don't get one this week, he will be ticked off, he is tired of getting them and I stay well. Lucky me.

Carol: delighted your home electricity is back to normal and you can use your CPAP again. I can do without it occasionally, but notice more than a few hours a night without.
Trish: stay healthy and keep trying for the next few pounds. I have total faith in your ability to find the right path for yourself, even if you change lanes a few times, LOL
