I slept good. No belly pain or grumbling. Weight stayed at 191.4. I am also in a habit of weighing daily. That's a big change for me. I was always afraid to see the number. It seems to keep me from going too high.

Trish, I think drinking your shakes in the evening helps with protein. I haven't been doing good with protein either. Too many potatoes, pasta and bread. I think its stress related.

We don't like the apples we bought. They don't taste like red delicious. I will buy more at the local store and use these to make an apple pie. They are not sweet enough for eating raw.

What a day. I am in quarantine till November 20th and DS daughter has cancelled Thanksgiving at her house. I don't know if that mean she and DBIL will still go for that weekend or not. Turns out that the lady that owns the beauty shop where we go has covid so they have closed it for 14 days. DS and my quarantine started last Friday. She learned today the her DD FIL boyfriend either has covid or was exposed and won't quarantine so she isn't taking any chances. I'm feeling fine and I do all the necessary things to prevent only go to beauty shop and grocery store and use clorox wipes when I get in the car and wear masks so hopefully and I think DS does the same thing. She has a sore throat but thinks that is just allergies. So hopefully we will not get the covid.

I was upset because I thought I went over my pts. I new they seemed to go fast. Today I realized that when I track that it was counting 2 c of FF milk instead of 1. Some other things weren't tracking right either so I am not overeating like I thought I was. Weight this morning was 189.2 so inching back under 190. I just hope I can keep it going down. Not being able to go out for 2 weeks hopefully will help me at least stay under 190. We will see.\

Carol Sue I used to love red delicious apples but the ones we get always have a mealy texture so I don't buy them any more. I do find that our local store usually has better fruit than any one else. Aldi's used to have the best in SC but I don't ever go to the one close by because I don't go over in that part of town except once a week when I go to the beauty shop and that is where my favorite local grocery is so I go there. Just don't have the desire to walk in 2 different stores any more.

Hope we all have a good day today.

Trish, I sure hope you don't have covid. The thing is, you can have it and feel fine, not have symptoms. I hope that is not the case. Will you consider getting tested? That way you will know if DH is at risk. Is it your hairdresser who has covid. Two hairdressers from Great Clips tested positive but no clients got it.

The apples I got at Aldis were great. These were from Wal-Mart.

Carol Sue I don't think I will be tested. The 2 times my niece thought she might have it they told her to just stay quarantined for 14 days. It isn't my beautician that has it. She stayed out several months ago because she thought she might have it but she didn't have it. The only way I will be tested is if I get any of the symptoms.

The only problem I'm having is that I need to go to bed earlier than I do, but I don't seem to work at changing it.

I don't think you can ever go wrong getting most fruits at Aldi's.

I don't know how you can stay awake to stay up so late. I never could even when I was younger. I was always early to bed, early to rise. I wake up early and can't fall back to sleep no matter what time I go to bed. Now that the time changed I go to bed even earlier.

Carol Sue When I was growing up bedtime was 9 pm every night. I would lie awake until sometime around midnight or later before I would fall asleep. I was always the first one up around 6:30 when I got in Jr. High to turn on the heat and get dressed so I was ready to leave for school when Daddy left at 7:15 because he would take me to school on the way to work. Later when I lived with my aunt it was about the same thing. DH #2 and his family stayed up until 2 am every night and I did too. Now when I go to bed I can fall asleep fairly soon after and seem to sleep very well until around 7:30 or 8:30 am. I try to lay in bed a little longer but it seems like when I wake up I can't lie there so I end up getting up. Sometimes I take a nap in the recliner later in the day but most of the time I don't.

I went over my daily pts by 1 pt, but my eating window was a little over 4 hrs and got my exercise done too. So an overall good day.

Yes, that's a very good day, Trish. I hope you are still feeling well.

We didn't have a bedtime. My younger brother was disabled and my mother was busy with him and didn't pay much attention to us. I went to bed when I got sleepy which was early. And got myself up and dressed for school. Many time my mother was still sleeping. She was up late and slept late. I was always the opposite. As DH stays up late watching tv, he sleeps at least until 9. I don't like night time tv. I fall asleep.

Scale was down .2_to 191.2. Once again I hope to get down into the 180s again. How hard could it be? Its only a few pounds.

Step daughter and her DH were here last night to help DH with our new tv and he gave them our old one. It works good but the brightness can't be adjusted. DH wasn't happy with it. I hope they don't have covid. Tomorrow DIL and DGS are coming in the afternoon. I am going to get a pizza in case they are hungry. Another risk. There is not much covid where they live and they always mask and social distance. They want to come so I can't say no. I can only hope we are all safe.

Carol Sue We can only do what we do to be safe. DS was tested for flu, covid and strep throat last night. She is waiting for the results today. I pray she doesn't have covid. If she does, then I will have to get in touch with my doctor and will probably have to be tested myself. I agree with her. The owner of the beauty shop was irresponsible.

Weight is back down to 188.6 this morning. FBG 110 so all is good there. I wanted breakfast but I am draggy today since I took the Tart Cherry Extract last night so that I would sleep good. Since I'm stuck at home until next Friday or Saturday, I decided to take advantage of making myself get some good sleep. I slept good but didn't get up until almost 9:30. I've had 2 c of coffee and did a few things and talked to DS so now I'm getting sleepy so I think I will try to sleep the rest of it off. That is why I don't take it very often any more. I need a total of at least days to get it out of my system.

I've been thinking about trying to do low carb with WW. Not sure how or if it can be done but will see if it can be done.

Hope everybody has a good day.

Trish, I did it with WW so it can be done. But you don't have to do 20 GM of carb low carb. You can eat lower carb than you eat now. Do you really want to stop eating the fiber that seems to be helping you so much?

It seems that you told me they stopped wearing masks at your beauty salon. They are required at our salons for everyone. I won't go anywhere without one and I stay away from anyone not wearing one.

I hope your sister does not have covid.

My step daughter called and she is now coughing. I sure hope she doesn't have covid because she was here yesterday for about an hour. This is why I tell them not to come over. They think I'm being silly since they are family but they are out and about everywhere. Now MT DIL and DGS are coming tomorrow. Sheesh! Why can't they just leave us alone?

Carol Sue We still have to wear the mask at the beauty shop. In fact, the rule actually is that the beautician and workers have to. I don't wear it when she is washing my hair or fixing but do wear it after. I really thing I was close enough to her to get it and she wears one of those plastic masks that are like glasses. My beautician wears a cloth mask at all times.

I would like to do low carb but I do need the fiber so not ready to cut it out. I've had a pretty good day. I did get hungry but I didn't use all my pts today. Of course tomorrow is WI day so I start a new week so will lose those rollover pts.

Carol Sue I hope your kids aren't bringing covid to y'all. DS did find test negative for strep and flu and will know in 3 to 5 days about the covid. I pray she doesn't have it. I'm still having no symptoms.

Today my weight is up to 193. I don't think its possible to gain that much overnight. I don't feel that I overate. Whatever. I'm stressed out about the possible exposure but all I can do is wait and see. I don't want anyone coming today but can't say no. I realize that we go to the casino but everyone wears masks and social distances. I don't really feel at risk there. I feel that I have no control over my life but just do what others want. Boo hoo. I'm having a melt down! LOL

Trish, you have to decide if your hunger is great enough to eat something. Don't make yourself sick but you don't always have to respond to hunger. Think of those lost points as possible lost pounds. I have to remember that, too.

DS has covid. BIL has to be tested for it again. She said her doctor didn't send her any medicine. Evidently Baby sister has had it and she told DS that her doctor gave her an antibiotic. I guess it depends on the doctor. I go to the same clinic but different doctor than DS so I have decided that since I have absolutely no symptoms, to just wait out my 14 days. I don't want to go and test and be negative at this point. If it takes 14 days to have symptoms, so I don't want to get a test now and need another one on day 14. So I'll just stay in quarantine and pray I don't have it. For one thing I don't have the health problems DS has so maybe I won't get it.

Carol Sue I understand your concern with your situation. I pray you will be safe. One of the symptoms of covid no appetite and loss of smell or taste as well. I am having no problems with that right now. Although there are times I don't know what I want to eat, I could go wild eating certain foods if I had them in the house. So that is a pretty good sign that I don't have covid. In fact, most days I have gone over my pts or could have. DS says having it is a good way to lose weight because she isn't hungry. I don't want to lose it that way.

My weight is up .6 lbs this week, but I'm still at 18.8 lb loss since May. I just need to figure out a way to get things moving again. DH is going to the store today and today is my off day. I really don't want a hamburger so I think I'm going look up Taco Bell and try to get him get something from there on the way home. It will cost most of my pts, but it sounds good to me and I usually end up not using pts other days so no big deal.

Trish, I sure hope your sister has a mild case and that you or DH don't get it. It is very hard on us older people. I don't think an antibiotic works for a virus. An anti viral would. The only time I had no appetite is when I had pneumonia, and there was only 1 day that I couldn't eat. I always have a very weak sense of smell. I think the worst thing about covid is not being able to breathe. Please take care. If you can, check your temperature.

Thanks Carol Sue. I called DS about an hour ago to see what the doctor is doing for her and he isn't doing anything. I told her that as long as I'm not feeling any of the symptoms, I'm not going to call the doctor just to get a test done for something they aren't going to do anything about any way. I did get tired when riding bike but that is just from not doing it for a few days. I am doing the quarantine because I want to be more careful.

DH got burgers. I had him get me just a hamburger patty and I made my own CB with sliced Velveeta cheese on SLMG bread.

I read on the FB 60 WW group where someone asked about cutting her pts back. Some people say don't use a lot of 0 pts foods and others say use them. However, one person said that she doesn't always use all her pts because she does the purple plan and doesn't always need them. She is losing weight and reminds us that because we are older and because many of us are yo-yo dieters that we will lose weight if we stick with it although we will be losing slower. Someone else said their doctor said eat one cheat meal a week and then someone else said that they alternate by eating all the pts one day and less the next so your body doesn't know it is dieting and going into starvation mode. Then someone else said do Pts and calories at the same time, but that is more work than I want to do.

I like the idea of eating the amount of pts I need to eat but not feeling like I have to use all of them. So I think I will go with that. Looks like I will have 1 pt left over today.
