Happy Canada Day, Mad, and any other Canadians viewing here!
The scale is up a pound, so staying off for one day was useless.
I think I know why I was able to walk so well yesterday. Two days ago when I was exercising I did one leg exercise to a count of 200. When I tried to do the next leg exercise I could not even do one. I have heard you should do an exercise to failure, when you can't do one more. Then when you rest, the muscle strengthens and repairs. I also heard that a person who is the least fit will show the greatest progress. My leg muscles are the ones that need the most improvement.

I finally finished off the last of my sausage this morning. It lasted a long time because I didn't eat a lot each day. I won't be buying it for a while now since I'm actually getting tired of it. That will save a couple hundred calories per day and some sodium.
I have reached 180 days checking in on MFP. This is impressing to me that I stuck to something that long. I'm not making any progress but that could change any day now. Every once in a while Rennie checks in. I wish she would stop back in here. Just think how nice it would be if all the past posters would come back! We could go back to monthly threads. Rennie, Shannon, Butterfly, p.a., Donna, and many others whose names have slipped my feeble mind.

Good Morning Everybody. Happy Canada Day Mad and to other Canadians reading.
Carol Sue Great job with the better walking. The exercise is obviously helping. And Congratulations on 180 days of checking in on MFP. Tell Rennie hi for me. I often think of her and the others who no longer check in with us. I'm sure that eventually your weight will start moving again. You will see it happen.
My weight is finally moving. New low this morning of 197.2 and FBG 121. Not sure why the FBG is a little high these days but the weight is moving downward and hopefully they will all come together in the future.
I did eat 3 meals yesterday. I had the Healthy Choice tv dinner that I've been craving. It was only 4 pts. My others are higher pts. I will wait until I'm in the mood for them again. We are going to Walmart today. I need some romaine lettuce and bananas and we have to pick up DH Eliquis and Farxiga. It is too expensive to get as 3 mo orders. I want to get some more veggies and fruit while there.
Carol Sue I'm glad I bought the book too. I think it is going to have a lot of good info in it. I think it fits where I am in my weight loss with WW because I just knew that eating 3 meals would mess up my weight loss, but it didn't. I was surprised that I lost instead of gaining. I got an email today that said pretty much what he has said so far about eating more protein, fruits and veggies helping you burn fat faster. You know that might be why the WW Green Plan helps people lose weight so fast, however, I do not want to do the Green plan. I like doing the Blue plan. Of course the thing about my 3 meals is that they were just that.... NO Snacks. I'm sure that is key too. I look forward to reading the rest of it.
DS and BIL return home sometime this evening. I think she has an appointment to get her shot tomorrow. She weighed at home before we all went to her DD and she had already started losing again now that she is doing WW Blue plan.
I noticed that the place we check the covid cases didn't have any count this morning. However, I did see that the commissioners must have changed their minds about the masks because it said to wear them when entering businesses. So we will do it. I did find out that we have had 9 deaths in our county and a lot of active cases and I don't want to get it and I don't want to give it to anyone else.
I'm going to read the book some more before DH gets up and is ready to leave for Walmart. Y'all have a nice day everybody.

Trish, I have not talked to Rennie. We are friends on MFP so it shows up on my feed when she checks in and vice versa.
I did 55 minutes of slow gentle exercise today. Moving is moving. Thing is, it is higher intensity for me because I am so out of shape. I was sweating. But it will improve in time and I plan on continuing. I don't want to become a drop out. It is exhilarating and I feel so good that I did it. I didn't want to. I pushed myself to keep going. This is something I have to do. I hope I am not sore tomorrow because it is casino day. I will take Tylenol tonight.

HI friends, back from the cottage. I stayed off line most of the time. I had to sign on a bit for work, so I avoided it the rest of the time.
However, in spite of eating reasonably well, I did 2MAD with small desserts most days, and 1-2 alcoholic beverages most days, and it shows. I will post my weight in the morning, but tonight its over 160. Very disappointing, but should not be surprising. I will plan to fast every third day. Must get this back under control. No my holidaying until August now. The weather was awesome though, and the lake warmed up nicely.
Meanwhile, Trish, you are well into Onederland, congratulations.
Thanks for the Canada Day best wishes. Its quiet without a fireworks display or any gatherings happening.
Chat tomorrow I hope, back to work early tomorrow am and have a full day in the office and go on call at 2 pm.

Mad I don't blame you for staying off the pc while at the cabin. I pretty much did that when we went to see my niece. Sometime it is nice to take a break from it. I don't do it at home like I should. But I have to admit that I enjoyed the break. I'm sorry your weight is up, but I'm sure you will get it back down quickly once you get back to your routine.
DS called this afternoon after she got home and she told me that she had to take BIL to the ER and leave him. They would not allow her to go in. They rechecked him for covid but he didn't have it. However, after running his tests they found that he has clots in his lungs so they put him in the hospital and started him on blood thinners. I'm so glad she took him to the hospital.
We had our KFC today and I have used all of my points for today. Although I wanted to eat something tonight, I ended up eating an apple which was 0 pts and a mozzarella cheese stick.
Goodnight.

Pipsicle, that's great that you're showing a loss for the month!
Trish, I'm so sorry your BIL is in the hospital. I hope he's OK. I'm glad it's not the virus but it still sounds serious. Too bad your sister was not allowed in. That's how it is here too. DH oldest brother kept getting lightheaded and falling. His granddaughter took him to the hospital and no visitors allowed.
Wt is up again today. Today is casino day so I shouldn't be eating much. Exercise will be all the walking. I slept good and blood sugar is good.

Pipsicle that is terrific that you do have a loss for June. Praying your July goes well.
Carol Sue Sorry about the gain. I'm sure it will come back down. Good luck at the casino. I hope they have some good OP food today.
Weight is only up 1.2 lbs to 198.4 from the take out KFC yesterday. FBG was 113 so that is coming back down. Still under 200 lbs so I am very happy with WW Blue Plan.
Carol Sue When I went to Walmart, I bought a bag of lemons and put 1/2 a lemon in a big glass of water and left it in the fridge all night. I drank it instead of a coffee this morning. I am drinking my 1st cup of coffee now and I have decided that I don't have to eat breakfast so I am not eating one today. I am not going to eat until I am hungry. I really want to use IF/IE along with my WW Blue Plan. I feel like this book we are reading is slowly giving me more freedom to eat the way I ate normally for years. Isn't it interesting to learn after all these years that the way you and I ate growing up was Actually the Normal way of eating. We can do this again dear friend.
Mad Hope you are having a good day today. As you get back on your IF routine, your weight will come back down.
Talked to DS this morning and the talked to the doctor and he said the clots are in both BIL lungs, but they are not in places that will move to heart or brain. He is going on blood thinner and will go home some time today. Thank God. He gave blood, something they call double red blood, 2 weeks ago and he has never felt good since he did that. We think that may have had something to do with it, but we will probably never know. We are just thankful he will be okay.
Have a nice day everybody.

Fast was about 46 hours. I also realize I was not walking as much as usual. The dogs were so hot, they didn't want to go as far as usual. They did swim a bit in the lake, as did I. Mostly I lounged in the floaty chairs though.
So I was 159 this am. I often have another drop the next day, in spite of eating in the evening, so let's hope.
I got some fresh tomatoes, cherries and mushrooms at the market today. Cherries from Niagara are my favourite fruit of all, and they are just coming ripe now. SO yummy.
So a few things to get into: my regular walks, my regular fasting, and no alcohol etc for the month of July. See how we do with that.
Have a good night friends

Trish, one casino has no food at all and the other one only has pizza and sandwiches. We each had a hot dog. DH is gradually getting tired of losing every week, but by the next week he's raring to go again. I won $545 but didn't tell him because he would use that as an excuse to go back. I told him I'm going to go back to reading my book IF we go again. I really don't believe he will stop.
Glad your fast went well, Mad.
I'm tired. Lots of walking today.

Weight is down 1.2 lbs, so the gain of the past 2 days was not real. It was fluid.
I have a lot to do today. We decided we want stuffed cabbage rolls for our July 4 th meal instead of a cook out. Neither of us is in the mood for hot dogs and hamburgers since we had them recently. We love cabbage rolls and can eat them often. We checked for cabbage in one store and it was terrible, so today we have to buy it. Theres 3 more stores to check. You have to have good cabbage since you use the whole leaves. There's only one store where we like their ground meat but their cabbage isn't usually the best. I guess I'm picky.
Also DH has to take my car for inspection. The guy is really busy and has a waiting list.
I want to fit my exercise in there somewhere.

carol: I would love to try your cabbage rolls. I got some packaged ones recently and the were GF and tasty. But not like home. By home, I mean the kind I would get made by the Hungarian or Ukrainian caterers in the town where I grew up. They were popular in local restaurants there too. My mother never made them.
I would think you have to be picky about getting good cabbage when it is the "centre" of the meal. This time of year is difficult, the new crop likely not yet ready, last years, not in the best shape after storage all year.
I am 158 today, even after stuffing my face yesterday. Tired too, because I woke up at 4 and could not get back to sleep.
Just ready an old novel again, and then a bit of work later.
Have a good day friends.

I finally changed my side ticker. Since I've stayed below 200 for a good week, I trust that it is really real. Today is WI and weight is back down to 197..6 so I can change it. I have now lost 9.8 lbs since I started WW. FBG was 119.
Headed to the beauty shop and then the grocery store to get some good fruit and veggies plus I need to get DH frozen cauliflower. Nothing major happening today. DBIL is home and on Eliquist and will probably go back to work after he sees his primary doctor Monday. So hopefully we will have a nice day and weekend.
Hope everybody has a nice day.

Mad, I would love to share my cabbage rolls but are not thinking they are gluten free. What would the gluten come from? I think the rice has gluten. I could probably use cauliflower rice but DH would not like that. The cabbage we saw yesterday were very small heads. We need to get bigger leaves and use the smaller ones inside for halushky. I am English and German but have learned to cook Slovak. I don't care for English and German food.
Continued:
I got 2 great heads of cabbage at the local store today. DH likes the dark green leaves that most stores pull off. This store leaves them on. Wal-Mart leaves them on too but they were all out. I think we were there early before they stocked. When I went to get the ground beef that store was packed, with people preparing for their holiday celebration. I bought 3 things and got out of there. That store is great but in the county with the high covid rates.
I bought some diced cauliflower and am going to try broccoli "rice" and cheese casserole.
