Sounds like we are all getting our plan and moving forward.

Carol Sue sorry about the incident with DH. I hope that is one time situation and doesn't happen again.

Today ended up being a 2MAD 5 hrs a part. I didn't plan it that way, but when it was time for my 3rd meal to stay within 8 hrs, I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat. I really don't want to follow any rules of having to eat when I don't want and I want to only eat what it takes to be satisfied. I'm very happy doing this the way I am.

Pipsicle Good to see you check in. I think we all have re-evaluated what we did last year and deciding what we want to do this year.

fatmad I don't think it will be long till you will be back to your longer fasts.

Goodnight friends.

Wt 181 .FBG 143

BS was 97 when I went to bed last night but I still have stored glucose to dump. I was so happy to see 181 on the scale so it WAS a lot of fluid retention yesterday. Hope to slip into the 170 s soon.

Pipsicle you can turn that holiday gain around. 2019 is a brand new year.for brand new results. I NEVER thought I'd be in the 180 s .It just comes out of the blue.

Yes 155 this am, so some of my holiday gain is stored fluid too. Carbs will do that to you. I go on call tonight, but had a broken night of sleep. All together there was enough, but I was up in the night with tummy pain and needed to have a dump. Not sure why my stomach would be so busy during the night. No brussels sprouts causing it this time, though I did have some bean salad with supper. So maybe some higher FODMAP veggies are bugging me a bit. I don't like them bugging me in the night.

Otherwise all good here. I had a quiet night because I was quite tired from the long day in the office, but did enjoy a call with older DD. Younger one is here Sunday for supper.

Carol: hope things are better for DH today. The new physical activity with stairs will be hard for a little while. Hope that improves soon.
Trish: have a good day and hope the TRE keeps working for you. The minor ups and downs just have to be ignored. DH is only weighing every 2 weeks.
Hello to Pipsicle and other quieter friends.
Happy New Year.

I meant to weigh myself this am and totally forgot. I didn't sleep well and my daughter's doctor's appointment was early this morning. Unfortunately, she truly is allergic to peanuts. She ended up throwing up at the doctor's office. I was really hoping she wasn't. She is fine after taking an anti-histamine. We are going to take it easy for the rest of the day. So far in the new year, I have been eating better. I would really like to start going to bed earlier and getting back to exercising.

Back down to 215.2 this morning and FBS was 150. So I guess I was experiencing fluid gain as well. It was so great to that # on the scales again.

I checked the bacon again this morning and 2 fried slices are 80 calories, but I still ate only 1 slice since this bacon doesn't shrink 1 slice is like 2 slices of the other. I ended up cooking one egg and 1 sl bacon on 2 slices of Sara Lee toast and had a nice egg bacon sandwich and 1/2 banana for about 338 calories for breakfast. Not sure what our afternoon meal will be but I have plenty of calories left for whatever DH wants. If we can get home in time, I will make our lower calorie pizza.

A lot of rain around here that has really been playing havoc with my sinuses. It is supposed to clear up this afternoon and I'm ready for it.

Busy day today that will add up to lots of exercise. Will do the 20 minutes on the bike and then do a lot of walking in Sam's Club and HEB. We are going to the Super HEB next to Sam's so a lot more walking than in the regular stores.

I slept really good last night but I over slept so I am running late. I want to get that bike exercise in there before it gets any later.

All you chickies have a great day.

I got an email from the company where I ordered my Tart Cherry Extract. They said that 3000 mg is the highest dose and can cause loose bowels. If that happens they said you can take half by open I g the capsule and mixing it in water. I took the first one last night. I did sleep better but still woke up often checking on DH. If I have a problem I will cut back on it.

I need a haircut but that's farther than I've been driving. Maybe I will give myself a trim. Ha ha. I'm brave.

Trish when I make bacon I cut a slice in half and have the 2 small pieces. I just like a little taste.

Pipsicle I am sorry to hear that your daughter is allergic to peanuts..She will need to be careful.

Pipsicle You must have been typing at the same time I was cause I didn't see your post before I posted mine. I am so sorry your daughter is allergic to peanuts. PB is a food I really love and would hate it if I couldn't eat it. Did they say if she can eat other nuts?

Carol Sue I trim my bangs once in a while, but would never try cutting my hair. I cut it when I was young, but hope I never have to do that again. I hope DH has a better day today.

Another good eating day. I don't think I will cut my breakfast calories as low as I did this morning and exercise on the bike when I know I'm going to be walking so long and then eat so late on the same day. I was really worn out by the time we got back home and was really grouchy until we ate. My bp this morning was 99/57 so the day started out with me pretty tired. I am going to go back to taking just 1 of the Tart Cherry Extract pills.

The good thing is that I did get 4 days of exercise this week and I've stayed OP for 4 days too. I am really happy with the way things are going and so far, I'm having no problem not eating anything at night.

Trish I don't think I will buy the 3000 mg Tart Cherry again. i only took it once and did have loose bowels during the night and again this morning. It was not diarrhea just loose. I think I will try to find out how much water to mix it with and do that for a while. It did help me sleep. Another thing it said was to take it with food to slow it's absorption into the body but I would have to take it earlier since I don't eat at bedtime.

DH is getting really antsy. He wants to go to Wal-Mart. Maybe step son will take him after the doc appointment. He has been sitting in a bad position and when I tell him he's not supposed to sit like that He says he's comfortable. If the hip pops back out he will be back to the hospital and back to square one.

The dog has become so much closer to him since this happened. He comes to him and let's him pet him which he would never do before. He seems to know that something is different. Dogs are smart.

Hi friends: weight down to below 154 this am. I will be eating well today, two days of OMAD is enough. It was about 28 hrs between meals, I ate actually after midnight when I got home. I was really tired but felt like I needed a meal to help me sleep. I didn't let myself get a lot of carbs, which I have done in the past to help me sleep, and I avoided over eating, but will have a good breakfast today and lunch later.
Carol: I hope your doctor reads CH the riot act about positioning while he heals. And that things generally keep improving. Not surprising he is getting antsy and wants to be out and about after so long. Hope that goes ok.
Trish: I am sure healthful eating and TRE will keep working for you.
I am so sorry about the peanut allergy issues. Sounds like its not anaphylactic which is good for safety but certainly serious enough. Its difficult because you really can't have peanut butter and peanuts in the house at all. When our friend with peanut allergy visits at the cottage, I put the peanut butter away in my bedroom closet so other guests won't forget and use it by accident. They bring "pea" butter, which they say is the yummiest substitute. There is also soy nut butter, so at least there are things that give you the ease of peanut butter. I rarely use it now, but like it especially for sauce for stir fries etc.
The new treatments are likely not available or affordable, but worthwhile for safety for some.
Busy work weekend for me so time to get moving! have a good day everyone

A quick flyby this morning as I'm headed out to beauty shop.

A new scale # I haven't seen in ages down to 214.8. FBS 162 which isn't unusual for it to be up as I start losing the weight. It eventually catches up. This is very encouraging to keep the 2MAD.

Carol Sue - I couldn't take the Tart Cherry with food because I don't eat after the second meal of the day. I don't want to get back into the habit of evening snacks.

Mad, DH is stubborn as a mule. He was told repeatedly in the hospital and also by rehab what he can and cannot do until the hip heals. He will do what he wants no matter what. He think if he does something and the hip doesn't pop out then it's OK. He will end up back in the hospital and whine and groan about it even though it is because he doesn't not like to follow doctor's orders. This is the way he is. You don't change 76 years of stubbornness. I don't plan on taking him anywhere without his son to help. He keeps saying "I am nover going to be able to walk again without the walker." Well, keep saying it, and you will make it so. This is getting old. I'm getting tired of the pessimistic attitude. Then when other people ask how he is he says he's doing great. They see him get up and walk to the bathroom and assume things are good. Maybe I'm just having a bad day.

I could not find any information about how much water to use with the Tart Cherry Extract capsule so I plan on dumping one into a bottle of water and drinking half of it. A bottle is 17 oz I think.

enjoying a good day of eating around my busy work day. lots of veggies and high fat foods. feels good to be eating on plan, as well as fasting.
Carol: I expect that is normal for people healing up. We are worst to those doing the hard work around us, and sunshine to everyone else.
Sorry you are on the ugly end of that stick. It's unfair. I think you are wise to be sure to have someone else around for going out. You can care for yourself but not DH under those circumstances. I expect he is also in withdrawal from the casino. and not likely he can go anytime soon.

Trish: congrats on the loss. I knew it would catch up with you if you could stick to it! hurray!

Have a good evening.

While my eating was fine, my day has not been great. I think it is allergies or at least I hope that is all it is. As I said yesterday, I was absolutely wiped out. I felt the same way today. I went to the beauty shop and then went to see Daddy. Turns out some kind of bug is going around out there. I assume it is a virus as the man across the hall who used to work with Daddy was sick yesterday and was still in bed today. Another guy came out of his room and stopped by to talk to Daddy and me and said he had been sick for 4 days with diarrhea and vomiting. Daddy said he had an upset stomach when he got up but seemed to be okay by the time I got there. So I'm hoping I didn't pick any thing up.

I came home with the idea of riding the bike to get another day this week, but I couldn't do it. I just didn't have enough energy to do it. I set in my chair and half way slept until I had to get up and cook. I grilled pork chops which I don't fix often and just couldn't eat all of it. I really didn't have the energy to finish eating. I just wanted to get the kitchen cleaned up and set back down and sleep. I did get exercise though through house work as I had to wash clothes and run the dishwasher and then unload it. I just had to push myself to do it. I hope the fact that I woke up early this morning was the problem and hopefully I will get a good nights sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow. Tomorrow is WI day.

Goodnight.

Was tired after a short night on Thursday, so went to bed early last night. Woke up early by a page, but feel like I slept well. 153 on the scale today, so the holiday weight is coming off well. I hope to fast until tomorrow breakfast. See if that will work. Ate plenty yesterday and Thursday night, lots of fat foods, so with luck that will tide my through.
I expect to be working more laster today, and keeping busy really helps.

Hope you are feeling better Trish. Its fine to have smaller meals if you are satisfied, but not if you don't have the "energy" to eat. I hope you are not coming down with something.

Carol: hope you and DH had a good night too.
Good weekend everyone .
