As I said, I have a plan, although, my IE attitude allows me to change what I need to change. I ditched the idea of rice and added a cookie that I wanted. I am happy and satisfied. Drank the ACV water before breakfast and lunch, but I won't do it before dinner as I will use ACV in my salad.

I have 2 snacks planned so I can get enough fiber in my plan. Calories less than 140... carbs, protein and fat well within boundaries I've set for myself. According to MFP, if I keep eating like this I should be in the 2teens in 5 weeks. We will see. I'm just enjoying eating what I like within the boundaries and keeping my health in tact while losing weight. Even if it is slowly. :)

Rennie YAY!!! For hitting your all time low and weight at 165 this mornin and FBS of 114. You obviously have found what works for you. I've also gone over to the Atkin's food porn thread to find some new ways to eat low carb. My Daddy is drinking the ACV water too. He makes up an 8 oz glass of water with it and puts it in the fridge and just goes and gets a glass of it and sips on it while watching tv, on pc etc. So I decided to do the same thing. I think that is a way to get the fbs to come down as well as the weight. I decided to do that because I don't always want a salad that I can use it in. This also saves calories because oil in my salad adds about 120 calories per Tablespoon.

Trish, did you realize what I was asking you? Look what you typed!!!

love2b150 03-03-2014 05:13 PM

Carol Sue that is what the thread is called on the lowcarbfriends website :D They call it that because they post pictures of foods that look delicious just like the normal dish but it is way healthier :)

OK, well I guess it's just me....I don't get why it's called PORN. LOL Sorry Trish. I did find the thread. Interesting!

I call a call last night that my half-sister passed away. She was 85 and in a nursing home the past year or two. She lived a long and happy life. May she rest in peace.

Now they tell me! LOL

I don't know how I got into reading all these weird sites.

Another fly-by post. Still truckin' - lost a pound and BGL OK. Still have not gone for bloodwork as I am dealing with this sore tooth and also a dog who may be in her last days.

(Disney is a Katrina Rescue and some of that horrible experience is showing in her health problems. It's not quite time for her to go to Rainbow Bridge but I suspect it will be soon. :( )

Carol Sue sorry to hear about you half-sisters passing. Glad she had a wonderful life. God Bless

... I love green peas :)

Ruth she is beautiful, hope she sticks around for awhile if she's not in any pain  Good job on the weight loss and on the BGL, keep up the good work :)

pattygirl63 03-04-2014 01:27 PM

Carol Sue  Sorry about your half-sister. Good to know she had a nice long life though.

Ruthie Congratulations on the lb gone and the fbg is okay. Sorry your dog is so ill.

Quick flyby here too. As my weight seems to do, I saw the 227 and then back up to 229.8. This morning down to 229.4. It seems that my weight bounces this way. Just working to keep it going down even if it is by tenths.

Y'all have a good day.

:hug:I know it feels that way sometimes doesn't it? I have to believe that if we keep doing what we know to do that it will work. We just have to give our bodies time to adjust. FBS was still in the 150s so I feel that alone is progress. I just can't give up and quit. I don't understand how the glucose works even though I've read and heard it especially when I eat OP and it goes up and I can eat off and it goes down. I'm wondering if the small meals would work better, but I'm trying to get away from "thinking" about food "all the time" and I think if I had to eat every few hours that all I would be doing would be thinking about food.

I am trying to eat less food at any one meal. Cutting back to 3 smaller meals and 1 snack. I'll see how that goes.

Hi I'm checking in here. I was dx'd in May and I've been on a low carb high (good) fat diet since then. I've been keeping my numbers pretty much under a hundred. I just tested an hour after breakfast and I was at 79! I like to eat and I love to experiment with the food. Just discovered that radishes cook up like potatoes in pot roast, they completely lose the radishy taste. yummy!

I use a food plan called Trim Healthy Mama that separates the higher carb foods (oatmeal, most fruit, starchy veggies) from good fats (non starchy veggies with butter, higher fat meats) I can have both but only at separate meals.
