Trying hard to be off last med..
Hi everyone. I don't know if I ever posted here but I've been
T2D for 12+ years now. I began at over 316#s and my bgs were all over the map from 4.9-8.? w/medicine. This past lab was drawn and they gave me my hba1c result of 5.4 .. I'm wondering if being Pcos/Type2D together will make it tough to get off my last pill altogether. Any opinions? I've yet to hear from my doc but I really want off that last pill and was anxious to get some opinions. I know I have to do as the doc says but does it sound like I'm close to done on ths chapter? I ha ve another 46#s I plan to drop too. Thanks anyone for answering. |

500mg x1 daily metformin. I have yet to hear from her.
I think I'm expecting a letter though. That is how they did it in the past. A small note attached to the lab values. |

Avalon, you have done so well, and you are a real inspiration.
I assume your secret is good diet and exercise, and keeping at it. You should not think that staying on metformin means you have not been successful in dealing with T2. But once we have it, we are never truly cured. YOur pancreas and liver will still think like you have diabetes, and sugar spikes can cause microscopic damage that metformin really helps prevent. I don't really plan to go it at my age, personally. Keep up the good work, and work with you doctor. I am so impressed and inspired by you. |
