Hi Newley Diagnosed

Hi their I was newley diagnoised with diabeties and they put me on Metformin.Is their any thing I should know or any good tips. Doc said if I lose weight I could come back off the meds. Still trying to figure out what food I can eat. Any suggestion will help.
