but today my dh picked up our diabetic supplies and they gave him a little cookbook called Diabetes Meals on $7 a Day ---or Less and I think it's really cool! Been looking at it ever since. Not only does it explain about Diabetes, carbs, gives tips on planning, shopping, and eating at home and out etc, but it also has recipes (my favorite part!) and the recipes are broken down by cost per serving, prep time, serving size, exchanges/choices, calories, total fat (sat & trans too), cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates (incl fiber & sugar) and protein. I'm such a nerd and also a diabetic and I love this kind of thing! :D

I rarely post in this area and some of you may already have this book ...it seems to be put out by the American Diabetes Association.
