Hi all
Just wanted to pop by and say hi, it been a good week for excercise, the eating though has been another story. I am glad to see everyone either get it done for themselves or at least try to make the effort. Half the battle I always say. Ex is driving me crazy, he is going to be in town this week so I am getting real stressed about that. It will be the first time he has been back since we had a major blowout in Aug. The good thing is the anger makes me want to work out and try and get the aggression out before he gets here. cross your fingers for him that it works..lol |
Wow Cathy, your excuses are MUCH better than mine......I stopped exercising in May, my 87 yo mother had an accident (broke left femor), mucho complications post surgery, back to hospital, then rehab, then homecare, all along delusional mindset (heavy narcs and anesthesia do a number on the elderly brain)....I ran from pillar to post and ate too much nasty cafeteria food because the only thing I had at home was cheetos and cat food.
but mom is much better, different but OK, so I need to kick my butt into some sort of routine like I used to do, however.......now I have *company* most nights and mornings so that also makes me have a different mind about what I want to do......it's amazing I'm not gaining weight, but i don't have much appetite, and I'm sure I have jelly-*** syndrome! the good part is that the man has a big fancy treadmill in storage and we are having it moved to my front room office....(no more excuses....I've got TV, computer, sunlight, wieghtbench, pilates machine, turbojam, Carmen Electra video). |
Hi Ladies,

New here
Hello all I am new here and not sure where to start. I am a single mom of 4 handsome boys and I need to lose weight and regain my energy. I suffer from clinical depression and bi-polar disorder therefore at times I eat because I am sad and then the result is I am sad because I ate. Crazy huh? My doc still hasn't been able to find just the right med for me so I am still experimenting. I WANT to lose weight and regain energy so I can enjoy life again. I really think that if I can just play for hours with my boys without getting tired I will know life is worth living again. I WILL TRY MY BEST.

Hi Yoly
Welcome, all you can do is try your best. One day at a time honey. |
Very sad.
Hi everyone.
It's a very difficult time here. Our 12-year-old kitty, Tippy, is dying, I'm afraid. His kidneys are infected and he isn't eating or drinking. He is on an antibiotic and R is giving him fluids through an IV, but he isn't responding. He is getting weaker and weaker and we have to make the phone call soon. Can't type more. Say a prayer for us. |
Hi Goils,
Boy its been a long rough week here... I can't stay but wanted to welcome Yoly. Tippy your all in my prayers. Hang in there everyone...its FRIDAY !!!! Talk more tomorrow when I can read up. Luv yah's. |
Hey everyone....finally a day off....so much is different...but so much has stayed the same.....we are happy and well.....just not too much down time
Hugs to all sorry about your kitty tip Liz |
Hello, hope you don't mind me popping a post on here, I usually post on 300+ but I have a question about meds for depression, I am on the third lot of tablets- none have worked. I am on Prozac at the mo, but though it worked a few years ago this time it is doing nothing at all. I was also on Citolopram & Gamanil. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try, my Dr. is getting fed up with me & wasn't happy about prescribing a third sort of meds at all. He huffed & puffed & said I might not be depressed!!! If he had been through what I had he would understand! My middle son is Autistic & I need to keep well & calm. The probs I have are; no energy, tired, can't be bothered, keep weaking up in the night & not getting back to sleep, eating too much/not enough & feeling helpless/hopeless. I try to eat healthily & exercise but often it is hard enough just getting out of bed.
I hope you ladies can offer some suggestions, thank you anyway. xxsharon |

Hi everyone!
I tried posting a while back, but something wouldn't let me and I haven't been getting much computer time. On Oct 25 my daughters friend was on her way here to pick her up for school, slipped on the ice and snow and flipped her car. Thankfully she wasn't hurt at all. So now she and her cat are staying with us. (she lives 45 min north of us and with the roads and having to come into town everyday for school I feel better if she stays with us) Last weekend C had a judo tournament down by Vancouver. I was hoping that hubby would be around to drive, but he had to work so C and I had to drive by ourselves. Of course on the Friday it snowed, so our trip down was all snow until we hit rain and fog. Boy was I ever glad to get to my dad's place. C did great at her tournament and got a third. Our trip home was a lot nicer as I was able to follow her sensei and the bad weather they called for didn't happen. So I've been a little stressed and having to drive the girls back and forth to the university so things have been a little busy. Bekki should be getting her car back soon and we will all settle into a routine so things will be getting better. Anyway I just wanted to drop in and say Hi! Hubby has the weekend off, so hopefully we will be able to get some stuff done around here (rearrange some rooms, so that Bekki can have her own room.) And regroup! Take care all and have a wonderful weekend! K |
Cathy thanks for the pm, though my Dr. tested me for thyroid problems a while ago, so I don't know whether to ask him or not about other tests. The article was pretty scary & eye opening! In England we don't always feel as able as you Americans to question our Drs. as we get free healthcare & feel more obliged to just 'put up with it', whatever 'it' is.
Thank you again. xxxsharon |
Sharon, I have heard of many women getting used to Prozac and it not working anymore, my sister for one. There are so many meds to try, I was on Zoloft and hated the way I felt on it...gave me evil thoughts..no lie. Then I tried welbutrin and felt 100000 times better. Its really a matter of trial & error. I think you should start a new thread and ask everyone in general, I think you'll get alot of different answers from others that don't read the daily. Oh... BTW, you are always welcomed here  we are all sisters here at 3FC's.
Buddly glad your friend is okay... geeeze ice already UHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I dread the "S" word LOLOL Sassy sounds like your in the tropics LOLOL warm and toasty...the way I like it. Liz, Nickles, Cathy, Yoly, Tippy, Marbles, Bonnie Jean, Blessed Be, Judo, Sweet Pea.. Nothing happening today, just gonna catch up with cleaning, cooking and basically farting around the house. I don't have the desire or want to go out today LOLOL pathetic huh. Ohhh. I did take DD to see the tim allen santa movie yesterday .... VERY VERY FUNNY !!!! Martin short did an awesome job as jack frost and they were so funny together...lots of stars in that movie.. I'd recommend it to ya all ;) |
