In addition to my depressed and struggling post

  • Here's the link to my blog.. its a little long..
about how my co workers are unsupportive..

    http://pinkbubbles1.blogspot.com/

Your thoughts and advice please how to get motivated again on losing weight ...

I have told them not to discuss about my posts... not to reply to my posts, etc and they agreed.

I don't really post on WW anymore now because of this!
  • Ok, that was a lot of grief and angst which as I'm sure you're aware, is not conductive to a good work environment. I do have a few suggestions for ya...

    1. Don't buy any more candy, even if they are candies you hate. You don't have to buy them. I would recommend that you instead buy something healthy to put into a bowl for yourself on YOUR desk instead. Then move that bowl (and it should NOT be a clear bowl by the way) in a position that blocks your view of the offending candy bowl. Out of sight, out of mind as they say.

    2. As far as your privacy being invaded on these posts, I'm going to assume that you told your co-workers your username on here, correct? Why not make up a new username that they wouldn't know, with a blank profile so that you can feel secure in venting without worrying about it spilling over into your work environment?

Just a few thoughts of mine. Let me know how it goes!
  • I read your blog about this issue, and while I do empathize, I think your co-workers bring up a valid point.

I know this is hard for you, but you have to be accountable for your own actions. Every time you reach for some candy, stop and ask yourself if you're going to feel better after you eat it. Ask yourself if those M&Ms are worth shattering your self-confidence and effort to lose weight.

Some more things you could do is buy your OWN bowl and every time you want to get some candy, you could write down an affirmation of some type instead. Maybe something like "I don't need this candy to feel good about myself" or "I am beautiful" or something that will make you feel good about yourself.

What feels better? Eating candy or telling yourself how wonderful you are?

I hope things perk up for you!
  • I love the quote, "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels". Just think how great it would feel if you do not give in to temptation and you reach your goal weight. Every day I pass by tons of fast food places....I could stop because it is right there in my face, or I can keep driving and feel great about that accomplishment. The same goes for the candy bowl in your office.
Also, wouldn't it make you feel so empowered if the ladies in your office see that you do not eat out of the candy bowl? Since you think they are trying to sabotage your weight loss, don't let them "win". If they are really as bad as you are making them out to be then they will be upset if you do not eat the candy.
Get some WW candy if you must have candy. That is just my two cents. You can take it or leave it .
