CATHY !!!! I hope your okay, I just heard Lake Charles got hit with the worst rain. My prayers are with you all... be safe :grouphug: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CIN !!! Nothing going on here in Jersey, same old you know what. My body must enjoy this cold b/c is just won't let go LOL :lol3: Sucks though, its awfully hard to sleep when you just keep coughing and coughing. How is everyone this weekend? |

Having a lazy Saturday afternoon ;)
I heard from Matt (DS) a few days ago. He's in good spirits...working on his GED :D . He's making progress on Math (his weakest subject), and he's doing GREAT on English/writing. I'd homeschooled him for a few years, and I knew that writing was his greatest strength..but he was a very uncooperative student :mad: . I'm just very glad that he has this opportunity to move forward with his life. Leenie: I think you need a bowl of "cyber chicken soup" :chicken: :eating2: Don't laugh....it WORKS! ;) Hope you're feeling better soon! Liz: I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying your new job. :) Cathy: If you're out there..and you have internet access...please check in and let us know how you're doing. Hi Leenie & Liz & Joanne....I haven't been here for a while....this week I am sick......I am really hoarse...my ears have a fullness in them....headachy.......sometimes I just feel crappy....ill......I just thought it was my allergies.....but it's more than that.....am coughing....on & off....have to take Ventolin at night....because I can't go to sleep because of the coughing. I am seeing an allergy specialist...one that comes here from Vancouver....it could be a few months away.
I did go to see the new grandaughter near Vancouver....was there for 11 days...while I was there DDIL was in hospital for a week....she had her gallbladder out.....came home the next day.....then about 5 days later....she was back in hospital with pain....apparently there were some tiny stones....she had a procedure done....where they went down her throat....to the bile duct....they had to open the sphincter....to let the tiny stones go through....she seems to be doing okay now. Last week....baby Claire weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. So she is getting bigger. Cathy....I have seen about Lake Charles on CNN.....I hope you are doing okay. April |
Hi everyone, boy have I missed you all, our computer died the end of August so it feels like forever.
Thoughts and prayers have been with those caught in the storms. Cathy stay safe. Happy Birthday Cin! Hope you feel better Leenie and April. April sorry to hear that your ddil hasn't been doing very well. I hope everything is going well now. And its great to hear that Baby Claire is doing so well. Are your sons doing alright with the strike? Liz congrats on the new job! I haven't read past posts yet, but glad to hear that things are going well. Joanne Hi and glad to hear that things are going fine. We've been busy. DD17 had an alergic reaction to who knows what and got to spend the night in the ER. She now has an epipen and we are waiting for the allergist to come to town. My mom and sister and sister's bf moved to town. That has been neat to be able to see them whenever we want. Plus my sister and her bf know computers and were able to fix ours. My other two girls are settled in their respective schools and things seem to be going alright. Dd 15 caught the cold that is going around and missed thurs and fri though. And Dd 13 is back into her judo and goes Mon, Wed and Fri nights, so it feels like I'm doing a lot of running around. Dd17 and I have put out a couple of resumes, but nothing yet. I've heard that places start to hire for Christmas help in Oct, so still time for a little something. Anyway should go. Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy the fall weather. Our trees are all yellow. Stay safe and have fun! K |

CIN – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Liz – Hey there, glad your new job is going well! KO – How old is your DS? Good for him for working on his GED!! April – I hope you get well soon! *big hugz* Buddly – Welcome Back! So sorry to hear about DD and the reaction she had. Sending warm wishes and thoughts your way. We went to the San Diego Zoo on Saturday. It was really nice. I even got a kewl caricature of my bowling league team!! Now I can scan in the picture and color it in and print it out on my iron on transfer paper and try to make team shirts heheheh. We did A WHOLE BUNCH of walking yesterday at the zoo… Then we came home and sat in the Jacuzzi at our friends apartment. Nice way to end a long day of walking hehehe. My legs are sore today. You know when you get a Charlie horse in your calf.. what that’s what they feel like after you have worked the Charlie horse out. Feels good actually hehehe… I hope everyone is doing well… I still have Cathy in my mind and my prayers. Sue… |
