Hopefully this thread will stay put today lol.

Its dark and gloomy out today, gee wonder if its going to snow again. The TV says nice and sunny all week but so far.....wish I got paid their salary for being so wrong all the time ;)

So whats everyone up to today?

Nothing much for me except a pile of laundry to fold, and maybe take DD bowling :D

man oh man - what a busy time of the year huh.

every morning this week I got up with the intentions of walking before I hit the roads running but it just hasn't worked out that way. oh well, maybe I should just shoot for Monday, 01-03-05. but you know how it is, when you have a few days off you hope to conquer the world - well that taint happening!

Hey, talk about a walk down memory lane! I was getting a book out of my collection of cookbooks and a folder fell out. I sat down and went through it. Lots of WW recipes, BUT guess what else was in there. An email from Big Rich! He sent me some information about weight loss W A Y back in April 2000. And I see by the emails that a lot of our old friends from the old days in the chatroom received it too. My my, the memories....

Some of us "met" in the chat room THAT long ago. Can you believe it! Of course, as most of us know, Big Rich has passed away, but he certainly was a sweetheart.

My garage is being built as I type. Tomorrow the carpenter, Scott, comes to gut out the rest of the room that will be the office. More dust.......

Tippy thats kind of sad and kinda nice at the same time (the email from Big Rich), bitter sweet. He was alot of fun and such a sweet man to the ladies in chat. I know his wife used to post here, actually not long ago. Hopefully she's still here.

Maybe we should all try to hook up in chat this week ??????????? How about tomorrow night ???? anyone up for it. Lets just chat and be silly like before, what a way to bring in the new year (with old friends).

Shall I post a thread announcing it (so nobody misses it)?

Tippy those are fun memories! thanks for bringing them up! yep Big Rich was great! I miss the ole days of chatting. We had such fun! such silliness and craziness!

As soon as I figure out what time it is here when it is 9 pm eastern - I will meet ya'll there. I think that would be 10 pm my time - but maybe I have that backwards. I'm in Louisiana - central time - yea isn't eastern time one hour behind central? oh whatever .... I will do my best to catch ya'll in there tomorrow night - what fun! hehe

btw tip - I don't remember that weightloss info from Big Rich? was it good info? long or short? wanna share it?

Cathy, I could probably scan it and post it here BUT, I'm wondering if it would be okay. It is pure BR and he types like he talked- very informative yet funny. He was in WW at the time and weighed a great deal.

What do you all think? Would be okay or would it be insulting to his memory? His widow has been known to stop in once in awhile even thoug she has gone on with her life...bless her heart.

well tip - I don't think it would be insulting to his memory at all. but of course, I don't know what it is like to be someone's widow. I'm thinking I would be pleased for people to remember a deceased husband and that it would be sort of bitter sweet to see his thoughts posted here again.
maybe others have different opinions
but I sure would enjoy reading it.

I was looking at the email addys that he sent this to and, oh my, I remember some of them. There is Judith, Elaine, Gale, Mel and Glider. I can't remember the other names that go with the addys. It certainly brought back a lot of memories...

Tippy I don't think that would be insulting, but like Cathy said, I'm not in her shoes. I found him to be such a sweet man, funny and charming, never would I think it to be insulting.
