BLAST FROM THE PAST - Do You Remember?
Once in a while things will pop up in my head from my child hood or in my 20's and I'll just laugh. Just thought this would be fun to post things from the past.
Do you remember.......... GLASS Click Clacks ??? I had a pair of these when I was about 13 years old, we would bring them to school and walk thru the halls with these dangerous toys. They were so much fun, we didn't mind the bruises OR the risk of them shattering and breaking in your face. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING !!!! LOL |
Leenie, I remember when mud was created! :D
I remember grandma's woodstove in the kitchen, kerosine(sp?) lamps, my cousins hand milking the cows, Grandpa's horses names, outhouses, and no indoor plumbing at all. In the city, I remember streetcars, all the neighbors backyards, going to Mass at 6:00AM, and playing so hard all day in summer that I literally fell asleep on the porch! What the **** were click clacks????????/ :?: |
Tippy, they were 2 glass balls at the end of a string and you had to make them hit each other below your hands and above your hands. Boy were they LOUD!!
Here's a link: http://www.wickedvision.co.uk/click-clack.htm Later they made them of plastic but they sucked and wouldn't go as fast. |
How about Romper Stompers (usually you played w/these watching Romper Room - thanks Brenda ;) )

Leenie! this is the first time I have thought about click clacks in a zillion years!
YES I remember them! we had them in clear and colored balls. liked to have killed ourselves with those things  we never had any plastic ones just the dangerous class ones LOL hey? what was that thing called that was a ring and had a rope with a ball on the end of it? we would put the ring around one ankle and then skip over the rope and ball as it would go around and around. do you remember those? hey that might be some good exercise today if we wouldn't break our neck on those things! LOL |
Those are called "Skip-It"s I used to have one of those that I would alternate using that and my "Pogo-Ball".... those were the days :lol3:
