2019 daily calorie tally
This is a daily calorie tally page. Because it's in the depression area of this community, I may talk about challenges. Too often people who grapple with depression are ignored or shunned. Not so here on this thread. Kindness and compassion are as important as breathing |
Sunday coffee 300 samples from Costco and Trader Joe's. The sample guy at TJs gave my a huge cup of chocolate bark. Calories est. 400? Strrawberrirs 180 low fat chicken chili 300 Salad with turkey. No cheese 300 total for day 1480 |
New Year's Eve I and way too much high calorie food on Tuesday I was much better tuesday coffee 300 chicken curry 280 salad 260 stir fry without oil 300 total 1140 |

found out last night that I will be going to visit my mother. She is very critical of my weight if I am not on the very low side of normal weight. I always lose around 6 lbs before I go to visit her. which prompted me to grimace and get on the scale this morning. I have gained 2 lbs on top of my normal high. So I have to lose 8 lbs before I go to see her. two things are in my favor. I should be able to lose 2 lbs of fluid weight if I cut way back on salt. also I realized that when I changed my supplement for cortisol, I cut the dosage in half by mistake. So I am going back to where that was. This could be the reason for the gain. I have to take something for T4 AKA cortisol production. Also, I will start eating low carb and low calorie. I am hoping to get the calories down to 1,000 per day. No puffs which are high carb. Will instead be having a lower calorie and zero carb snack food. I will have no fruit. And will lower the amount of carrots. I will stop buying sugar snap peas for the salad. I will eat clean. just chicken and then vegetables with no salt. No oil,. The carbs will come from the vegetables I do eat. I always eat a lot of vegetables. No more sugar of course. No grains. I can do this. I have done it before. I just have to get excited by it. I wish I could walk. But its winter and very cold. Inside walking is not my thing. .And my feet are not in good shape. The date when I must go to see her is not up to me. But the person deciding expects it to be toward the beginning of February. I am thinking it will be in 3 weeks. Thus having to lose 2 lbs a week. In addition to the weight lost by reducing sodium. Monday coffee 250 Vegan puffs 430 (my farewell to puffs) Chicken with vegetables and wine sauce 320 Salad 280 Total 1280 Projected low carb calories for the next few weeks Coffee 250 chicken with mustard and vegetables 240 Salad 220 frozen lemon juice and whey protein powder 50 baked cheese things from Trader Joes 320 Total 1080 calories per day |
Wednesday 1/17 weight down by 1.8 lbs (mostly from sodium reduction) 6.4 more lbs to lose b/4 I go to see fam. coffee 260 baked cheese bites 350 chicken with power greens, cabbage and green beans. No sodium 180 lemon, protein powder and stevia 40 projected: salad with LF feta and BHF yogurt dressing 250 projected total 1080 |
Thursday down another pound. 5.4 more to lose. Today's food should be repeat of yesterday. Am pleased that I have around 3 weeks to lose the remaining weight. I do think It's attainable. |
I def. went off the diet. Big rebound. Just heard from my SIL. I now have a date when my greatest critic (other than myself) will see me. She has a Big problem with me when I am even slightly overweight. So back to low carb/low fat diet. So, this is definate. Ideally I need to lose 8 lbs. but that seems impossible in 17 days. Even though I know some of the fluid weight will fall off as I reduce sodium. I will not be able Le to hold to the store on Sunday and probably Monday. Thus no baked cheese thingys which have 340 calories and 2 carbs per bag. This will be an interesting 17 days. And I expect to lose enough so I will look presentable. Today I off to a rough start because I did not get the call from my SIL until after I had the vegan cheese puffs. Saturday coffee 300 vegan puffs 440 salad 160 chicken with Vegs 220 salad 250 total 1350 tomorrow will be much better |

I have 5.2 left to lose before I see family, Coffee (always low acid) 250 B TJ's baked cheese bites 340 L Salad with sugar snap peas, carrot, onion, cucumber, lettuce, herb mix, 1.5 oz low calorie feta, BHD 190 D will be chicken with cooked cabbage and green beans 210 S frozen lemon protein stuff 60 total for day 1050 Note to self, drink water Significant inflammation may slow down weight loss |
