For the past couple of years, I've been battling depression and weight gain.
The last time I was on this site was Feb 2013. Ive gained weight and my depression has been current since then.

I am hoping that by rejoining this site, I can feel motivated to lose weight and battle depression. I have taken medication in the past but the side effects were too much for my body to handle.

I am looking to lose 65 pounds the healthy way- eating right and exercising.

Hi, Im getting off citalopram and 30 lb weight gain which i certainly did not need yet the ptsd and clinical depression was so bad had to intervene. Now 4 years later brain better. So getting off the 20 mg and substituting Sam E. So far so good. Insulin reeistance causes weight gain and obesity. Ssris unfortunately contribute to insulin resistance. Reading excellent science
Book is called "The Obesity Code". Worth a read, its not about eat less move more...its all about insulin resistance. Check it out will let u all know how it goes as I incorporate . Like the Sam E really helpful. Emd
