Recent widow

I could be depressed after losing my beloved husband of 15 short years, to a 5 yr, 8 month battle with stage 4 kidney cancer in Jan of this year (2013). But, though I'm sometimes numbing grief over the loss of Kevin, I'm not using it as an excuse to let me health continue to go to h*ll. He inspires me and encourages me, even from Heaven to LOVE myself, as he did our whole marriage. He's proud of me, and I am too.

 <--I'm in teal, and he's the one in red- trust that!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you feel.

And you're right, he wouldn't want your health to suffer. I hope things will feel better when you take charge of your health.

Welcome. This is a great group of people and a wonderful source of info!

Your attitude is inspiring Mrs. Kevin! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss but so impressed with your strength and resolve. You can do this.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what that must be like. You have such a great outlook despite the hardship you are going through. Wish you all the best with your journey.
