What Would You Do If You Hit The Lottery
 

Lets have some fun here, what would you do if you struck it rich?

First I would quit my job - SURPRISED ?
Take care of all my family and close friends.
Give to my Church and Charities.

Buy a new Blue Thunderbird :D
Move to the country and buy a big Victorian Farm House
Make sure the house had a huge sun room so I could enjoy all kinds of weather.
Move my mom & sisters w/me
Adopt a few border collie puppies
Enjoy my yard and garden

Just live peacefully :)

First things first..
 

First thing I would do is hire an attorney, call my broker and change my phone number.. of course giving it to the attorney and the broker. Then I would only give my phone number to my mother... everyone else would have to wait. Depending upon the amount I won, I might set up a charitable foundation. I have always thought it might be fun to be a wealthy philanthropist. :D As far as buying anything, a car might be nice. Mine is 13 years old. I would also like a personal trainer to come over to my house 3-4 times a week and drag my fanny out of bed for a good workout. I don't know if I need or want another place to live.. I am content where I am. My main focus would be investments.. yeah I know.. boooring.

If I were rich......
 

1. Move into a new big bright wide open home with lots of windows.

2. Hire someone to clean my house and cook my meals everyday so I had the time to do what I like to do.

3. Travel at least twice a year to my other home somewhere tropical on a golf course.

4. Go to a spa for 6 months with my family and get in shape.

5. Go back to University and get my PHD and become a grief therapist

6. Get a whole new wardrobe

7. Get facials, pedicures, massages regularly

8. Move away from my family but visit them twice a year or so

9. Head up a charity for children...disadvantaged, orphaned, and chronically ill children. And work directly with them.

10. I might buy some of the toys my husband so desperatly wants..like new golf clubs, a new big TV, etc

11. Trade in my Topaz for a Black Jag

12. Build a library in my home.

13. Live on an acreage so we could have horses.



Have I run out of money yet???

There are so many things I would do but nothing all that different than anyone else.........the funny thing is that most of the things I want I could do without a lot of money but it sure would take a lot of work...hmmmm...something to think about:)

I am sure there are lots of things that I would do with it but I am in hangover mode right now so all I can think about is......

live in a big beautiful house on the gulf coast (probably Destin Florida) and lay on my big deck overlooking the water all day. I don't think I would move all day as long as the cabana boy kept fanning me.

If I struck it rich I would:

1) thank God

2) buy the land and hire a contractor to build a business

3) buy the house I presently live in and do some remodeling

4) move Mother and Dad's home to a new foundation and do
remodeling...putting the pool and library back in working order
top priority

5) pay off all my creditors

6) pay my tithes, help feed and clothe the needy in my town and
give extra to my church

7) give back to those who have helped me the last couple years
in my time of need

8) go to a spa

9) hire a cook, housekeeper and trainer

10)buy Chris a new van and put my '79 T-Bird back on the road

11)buy Chris the computer, tv and stereo system of his dreams

12)take Dad on an Alaskan cruise

13)buy Chris his first pair of shoes in 29 years

14)send all my 3fatchicks friends airfare so we could all meet

15)buy Chris, Dad and myself new wardrobes

My list could go on and on and on.......being without money for so long makes one tend to dream of the day they have some. :lol:

Put money back for my kid's college

Send my oldest to college

Pay back my dad and inlaws money we owe them

Buy me DH a little truck

Buy me a day at the spa, monthly


I could go on and on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see,
I would yup first thing pay off creditors and get them out of my hair!
Then I would buy a small but comfortable house in the Florida Keys. AND a House in ENGLAND.
Then I would build a bunch of NO-Kill animal shelters and pay people to care for these animals. And demand that every school in the world starting from kindergarden teaches children proper animal care, including the importance of spaying or Neutering your pets!!
Then I would start a bill in congress that makes it illegal for landlords to #1 say no pets, and #2. Charge non-refundable pet deposits.

Then after all that ----VACATION

Pay off the bills, dh would quit his job:D and give my mom and dad and sis and bil some money too. And redecorate the inside of our house and redo the outside too. If they wouldnt take the money, they probably wouldnt, I would treat them to a vacation in hawaii for a couple weeks:)

Pay tithes
Pay all the medical bills on our credit card
Put up money for future medical bills
Pay off our house
Pave the driveway (it's 1/10th of a mile long)
Put up the money for both our boy's college
Pay off my car
Pay off hubby's truck
Do something really nice for my mom
Buy oldest son a new truck
Buy youngest son the drum set he wants
Throw a great big safe fun party for all
the graduating seniors this year
Landscape our yard, put in a rock and
goldfish pond with fountains, etc
Take a family trip to Colorado
Go on a honeymoon cruise
Update our youth center

uhmmmmm how rich did I strike it? am I broke again now? ;-)
