Default Wed. January 15...A little prayer to start our day

Now I lay me
Down to sleep.
I pray the Lord
My shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles
Please no bags
And please lift my butt
Before it sags.
Please no age spots
Please no gray
And as for my belly,
Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy
Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord
For all that you've done

Amen!!! Have a great day everyone~~~~~~~~Meg

Good Morning !!

Meg, Great way to start the day !! Remembering to pray to our Lord, even if its about our shape I need mega prayers !

Nothing much new here. The biggie boss is in today so I'm all fancied up ICK ! I bought a new pair of shoes (LifeStride), they have 2 1/2" heels which makes me over 6 feet tall, but anyway my point is, they are sooooooo comfy, the best dress shoes I ever owned. And they are wide width

I better get some stuff done here, I'm falling so far behind.

Talk to you all later and have a wonderful day...

Hey April COFFEE !!!! (haaa said it first )

Love, Leenie

I spoke to my son last night regarding the fire at the auto body shop his father ran (past tense) and where my son used (again past tense) to work. If you read yesterday days post, there was a fire and I guess the business is done. My ex was thinking of retiring anyway, but that leaves my son without a job at 39 and without any formal education. (That's another story in of itself!) Anyway, he was telling me how he was driving home late after the fire and full of soot when he spotted a truck on fire. He called it in and stayed around. THE FIREMEN ACCUSED HIM OF STARTING IT! He was questioned forever. They musta thought he was some kind of nutcase.
Around here...am pissed at R...he's being a man! The zipper on his heavy winter jacket broke after two months and he seems to know more about sewing than I do. I've been doing it for over 45 years and he is trying to tell me how to repair the damned zipper! It is NOT repairable... it needs to be replaced and I can't do it for reasons I understand but he doesn't! Oy vey!
Going to find some Cheerios........

Good morning gang

Tip, sorry to hear about your ex's business, and especially about your son's job. We will hope and pray that there is another job waiting around the corner for him!

Meg - nice way to start the day!

Leens - I'm sure you look great all fancied up! You go girl! At least the shoes are comfortable. hehe

Cin? or anybody? was anybody able to get into the chatroom last night? I tried several times and never could even get in there? Is the chatroom open at all times? or just certain times? it is so aggravating when you can't get the chatroom to come up, even after hitting the refresh button over and over.

I did not exercise this morning because I woke up with a big headache and could not take moving around like that at 5:00 with my head pounding, but it has already eased up and feeling better. Missing one day won't kill me - right?

I will check in later to read everybody's post!

Hope all is well and everybody has a great day!

hugs,
Cathy

Good Morning All,
I chuckled at the poem..we do need that help too...............I know for sure we also need a healthy dose of humor to win the battle and we need a real healthy dose of GOD too!

I decided to impose some rules for myself.........first I must exercise before getting on the computer period! I am going to do this for at least one month!

So...................needless to say I have exercised and eaten breakfast..............even the little egg shell mixed in tasted good! Ha! Ha!

I now have 2 friends to visit in the same hospital.wgich is convenient and they are sisters!

After my visit I am going to get my 2 grandsons Josh & Jake (2/1/2 & 4 yr old)....I am having them over for the night..............the girls (7&8) have had 2 overnite visits so its the boys turn! They are so much fun..so I may not get back in here today and I know you all will understand.

Leens............stand tall.enjoy the shoes and be proud! I mailed some size 11 shoes to a Missionary's wife.she has difficulty finding size 11 over there.I met her this summer when we went there. I have mailed her several pair and she is thrilled....it takes a month for the package to arrive.I mailed her warm house slippers (animal print) and she adores them.she is well over 6'feet and was born in Africa.Trouble is the postage costs much more than the shoes!

Sorry I have rattled on.perhaps to too long........Everyone have a good day....and count your blessings!

Tippy.I am so sorry to hear about the fire......always tragic for all concerned!

Kempyd.I checked out the website.looks like a "dream"place to work.I enjoyed chatting with you last night!

Cathy I thought of you when I did the 2 mile today.

Sweet....................I miss chatting with you and LindaT!

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Talking Happy Hump Day!

Well I am putting on a smile though not feeling very smiley but that is ok.

I got the kids off to school and have some me time for a bit before I pick up dd 4 at kindergarten at 1130.

I also have to do some returns...some are Xmas and some are preXmas purchases. I am such a procrastinator. I am kinda annoyed at my mom as I gave her a 3-piece outfit and she pulled all the tags off them before she tried them on....anyhow I still should have little trouble returning them....but I don't know why she would have done that.

My Dad has been having radiation for the past couple weeks for prostate Ca and has been doing ok....the usual side effects...fatigue, itch, and diarrhea. Poor guy! Never really been sick a day in his life.

Well I am trying to decide on what I am going to do for exercise. I am going with dd11 to check out curves on Friday...they have a free week right now to see if you like it. That or the gym here in town....which is so gorg....steam room, fluffy white towels, playcare, massage etc. The gym would be $81 per month for a family with I think $50 joining fee (as we were prior members)and curves would be $79 to join and then $39 per month for me and an extra $15 for dd11. Can't decide quite what to do.

Hey did you all participate in my survery over on polls and survey regarding exercise?

As far as the chat goes I give up. I have been in and out of that room a dozen times. There is either no one in there or if there is it is just not the same.

Well I need to go tidy dd11's room as my mom is sleeping over tonight as she is going to help out with the kids tomorrow. I am going to a conference. I will have everything all set up and itemized and the girls know the drill pretty well.

Hope you all have a great day!

Liz

Good Morning All

Leens One thing I feel that is worth spening good money on is good shoes, also a good mattress and also healthy food.

Meg I loved the poem, think I'll jot it down.

Cathy We have the same birth day, just different year.

My stress level has been through the roof lately, finally, my husband sold one of his trucks, one we bought when we went to WA to buy, it weighs too much so he bought another in AZ, this is to haul asphalt, rock, sand, and gravel.

We found a house to purchase, but we are in lease agreement for one full year, might be able to get out of it, this house has a comfortable floor plan and 2 garages, my hub needs one for the truck stuff, plus it's on 2.2 acres, no one around for several blocks, except one house about 50 yards over, it's empty.

I think it's time to start back excerising if everyone else can do it in the early am I can too, no more excuses, just this stress that is through the roof.

buy for now

Good morning. I am looking forward to getting to know all you ladies. Harry Potter was very much enjoyed by the 6 yr old and his cousins.

I am having a good day so far (only early here 8a.m)! Weigh in day for me and am thrilled with the 6 pound loss for my 1st real week. I have been feeling more in control of my life so feel the timing is definately right to start losing some of this excess weight.

Busy time at the moment- school holidays so lots going on. My sister left her husband 10 days ago so it has been a busy whirl of lawyers and shifting - not helped by the fact that they lived 2 1/2 hours away so a bit difficult. They (sister +3 kids) are all camped out at my parents place at the moment which they are trying to sell. So lots of fun there!

Just wanted to share an e-mail we got last night from my step daughter whom we have not heard from for 3 years. It was such a shock to have her name pop up in new mail. We have always sent Christmas and Birthday cards and this year I put our e-mail address on. We are in New Zealand and 4 1/2 years ago their mother moved them to Australia when she remarried. They kept up contact and then it stopped. The girls are now 13 and 10 .

Anyway hope you all have a nice day

Anna

Anna, Congratulations on the 6 lb loss Way to Go !!

Huggs for you and your sister and her family, its not easy thats for sure...she is surely blessed to have a sister like you. And its so nice to hear that your stepdaughter has contacted you, a few years ago she probably didn't understand what was happening, now that she is older its nice to know she wants to get to know you all again. Sprinkle some seeds and when your not looking they grow

Can you believe its snowing here, the sky is blue and there is snow lolol... actually its very pretty.

Okay off for MORE work .. ick !

Man, I am late again. I've got to stop doing this.

ACW good job on the lose.

I have been pretty busy today trying to get the bosses office into some sort of order. I swear he would lose his head if it wasn't attatched.

I was hoping more people would have been in chat last night. I enjoyed getting to know Cin.

Cin I did check out the site and I will have to e-mail them a few questions. I am glad to hear about the company though. It will give us more of an option.

Tippy that is so strange about the truck fire and your son. Poor guy. Like he wasn't dealing with enough already.

Well, we all look like we are all hangin in there pretty well. I hope the rest of the days continues in the same way.
