Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was okay, glad the snow stopped and the sun is out :D I almost bought a SAD lite yesterday but it didn't give the # of lux...so I didn't get it :( oh well lol.

Whats everyone doing this week? anything exciting?

Hi all.

I really really don't want to go to work tonight. :cry: I just don't. I know that sounds so babyish but I can't help it. I feel like I did when I was a kid and I didn't want to go to school because it was torture. (I got picked on a lot) But now I'm an adult and sometimes we just have to do things we don't want to do.

Anyways. I figured th is would be the right place to post this, as it is the Depression Forum..........and I can't help how I feel.

How is everybody? I checked on a couple of jobs today. One was server job and they aren't hiring for day shift. I'm done with nights unless things turn desperate. The other is retail. I picked up an application that I'll fill out tonight. I thought maybe I could just work there through the holidays. I'm not sure if they'll take me for just days or not. I'm hoping they are desperate. I am willing to do weekends. I just want a little sense of a regular schedule, and dinner at home. It would be nice if the other company I really want to work for would just hire me! Say some prayers!

I have a couple of little cleaning projects to do around here before my other half gets home. I better get started.

Hang in there Sassy, it will be over soon. By the way, I may have said before but I'm feeding several stray cats outside and one has insisted on coming in and becoming family. He has the same colorings as our former "Putty's". Not quite as beautiful a cat, but loaded with personality. He's a definite lover and a snuggler.

It's Monday - and just be glad you aren't here in SW Ontario - I've been listening to the vehicles trying to spin their wheels up the hill outside my house on the ice this morning! Note to self: put off until tomorrow - well - EVERYTHING!

Well, ladies, I did NOT do my Christmas decorating, but hubby is back at work today, so that's my plan - ! I know it will be nice when it is done... last year we didn't decorate at all - sister-in-law got married at the North Pole (no, I am NOT kidding!) and we flew there instead... and this is only our third Christmas in this house, so I AM looking forward to it Small and quiet and - hopefully! - stress-free!

Hi all,
Not much of anything to report personally today. Got my pd and it has me feeling nauseous and very sleepy. I'm supposed to be job searching but I can't help but play games to quell my anxiety and to watch happy things to not cry. Food was all over the place today. But I try not to be too hard on myself lately since money is tight and family's the ones reponsible for groceries. I seem to spend my day's distracting myself from my own feelings...just noticed that just now. Guess that's all. Hope to be back tomorrow

Well I had a breakdown here at work. lol. I walked into a whole load of work, more work than I've ever seen since I started! Plus add on top of that that I had a MAJOR headache (still have that) and just was not in a very good mood.

So a coworker of mine comes over and asks how I am doing with one account here we have. I just say, "Right now I really do not care" lol. So he sat down and asked me what was wrong. Well that was all it took. lol. I totally broke down. lol. Told him everything and he understood because he used to do my job. So he jumped right in and started helping me, even though its not his job. lol. I felt so much better afterwards! I wish he was my boss instead of the boss we have now! lol. That would ease my mind A LOT! lol.

I also talked to DH and said I've pretty much had it. So all I need is to make enough for our car payment and I honestly do not care what job it is, at least just to get out of here. So as soon as I find something, I'm putting in my notice. I just HAVE to get out of here. Its just not worth it anymore.

So DH and our friend are keeping their eyes open for jobs for me. DH is going to contact his old boss from our college to see if there are ANY positions available at the school. DH will be teaching there soon. :)

Hope -- Awwww.......I saw a cat that looked just like our Putty/Puddy's and I just started to cry. lmao. My mil was right, you never know when you will just start crying. lol.

Heather -- TY. Tonight just wasn't my night. I should have listened to my instincts and just called off. But I forced myself to go...........Only 9 and a 1/2 hours to go! lol.

TOM is here and I feel yucky too Extrinsic. I did manage at the last minute to drop off my retail job app today. I need to do something till what I want comes along. I'm sure I'll be underpaid, but I guess it's better than zero.

Heather: Did you do your decorating? I haven't even started. Maybe that will be my goal tomorrow. I never thought I'd see the day when I didn't put my tree up as early as possible. I've always loved Christmas, but I can't seem to think about decorating as anything but a chore.

Sassy: Hope you made it through the rest of the night OK. Yeah, if you're that miserable get out as quick as you can! Take anything! That's what I'm about to do anyway.

Hope - I did decorate yesterday, and exhausted myself - I just couldn't bear the thought of having to get up and do it AGAIN, today... so the tree lights are a little haphazard, but oh well :D Good for you for getting that application in - let us know how it goes!

Sassy - keeping my fingers crossed for a change for you, too - and I hope your mum does come, I think you were looking forward to it.

I have a headache - I blame all the dust I stirred up yesterday with the Christmas decorations... going to have an easy day, and try to eat well... had Chinese food last night and feel positively bloated and ill today - yuck!

It's chilly here too, this morning, and still snowing - those really pretty, dancing, fat, soft snowflakes that are lovely until about mid-February, when I start cursing them and wishing it were spring! :lol3:

WELL - odd days for me indeed. I ate well all day yesterday and then ate everything not nailed down after dinner - haven't done THAT in a while... well, unless you count that whole pie I ate a couple of weeks ago... yes, I'd better count that! It's odd behaviour, and I had to really stop and think about why I am sabotaging my weight loss... I'm off to the doctor tomorrow: ever since I had a bacterial infection in October, I haven't been quite 'right', so my suspicion is that it is still there, low-level, and dragging me down and making me tired. I HATE being unwell, and it is very frustrating - it's not like I am so unwell that I need to go to bed, either. Grr. Okay, we'll see what doc has to say tomorrow, and I'll get my flu shot at the same time.

Right, enough rambling! Have a lovely day all - I've planned and journaled my food for the whole day, so fingers crossed the Food Monster doesn't creep and and :kickbutt: me!

Hi this is a Post By..........Ha ha...........

Started watching Pirates 3 and was really lost so we watched Pirates 2 to "jog" our memories. lol. DH is cooking his Lasanga.

We haven't gotten any snow -- yet, we are supposed to get in the AM, around 7 or 8 am........So luckily I am home and won't be out in it! ha ha!
