I'm working from home today, my DD has a fever. I knew something was brewing yesterday because she was SOOOOO moody.

it's crazy busy around here - just a typical Monday ;-) but wanted to pop in.

we watched The Astronaut Farmer yesterday. It was a good movie - now granted I could never dream that big - but it was a good flick!

Leenie - I sure hope your dear little Gracie gets to feeling better! and that she is all better soon! Do you think you'll get more done from home since you didn't have to travel, etc? just curious - sometimes I think I could get much more done from home - then again - maybe not ;)

where is the rest of our gang today and what is everyone up to?

Hi folks,

Sorry I've been MIA. My friend is in town for a few days and I've been too busy to check in. We've been running around doing errands, shopping, and scrap booking. She did a whole book for me of my cat Puddy that I lost in March and is planning one for my dog that we recently lost also. It is a great gift that I'll cherish forever. Her b-day is this week and I got her 620 thread count sheets. Love those! Hope she does too.

Can't stay, but I'll be back soon. Have a great week everybody! :hug:

I got a new Leslie Sansone dvd in the mail yesterday. It's called Walk Slim 4 Mile Fast & Firm and is an addition to her new Walk Slim series.

So this morning I got up at 5 am and did 3 miles in 45 minutes. I did the first 2 fast miles and then the last mile of firming with the elastic bands. :carrot: anybody else exercising? I'd love to hear about it!

Leenie - how is your dd doing today? any better? I sure hope so! hugs

Morning! I've been going to camp later and later as it is really getting me down. I'm not very good with all the political 'crap' that goes on with these kind of things - but I am trying to stay focussed on making sure the kids have a great experience. It's wears me down though, and I can feel my depression creeping in...

Hopefully after a good sleep this Sunday, I'll feel a bit brighter.

Sorry I've had no time to play. DD is back to school and feeling alot better, she was actually laughing this morning. Cathy working from home is great!!! but I can't do alot of what I need to do. I need the records I keep here but I can get away with a day or 2 at home. Would be nice to do that all the time lol.

Hey all you busy folks! :)

My girlfriend just left for home about 20 minutes ago and I need to hit the shower. My fiance is coming home soon b/c he has a short day at work. We had a good visit and she did love the sheets.

Heather: Hang in there, it's almost over. Two weeks is a long commitment for a camp. Is it all day? Hope you some time to yourself. It looks like you're still losing weight so you must be getting in some exercise.

Cathy: I'd love to tell you about all the exercising I'm doing, but I would have to make something up. The last time I was exercising regularly was the first of last year. I don't know why I can't get back into it b/c I actually like it (most of the time). I felt so much better back then. I need to just bite the bullet and start small.

Anybody heard from Sassy? Wonder how she's doing?

Saw "Hairspray" today. It was a good movie. I had somehow managed at 36 to never know the story line to this famous story and I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm up early on a Saturday bec I had to bring dh down to the church so I could keep us truck for the day. We are having vehicle troubles and only 2 of them are running and we have 4 drivers in our house so we are playing musical chairs with our vehicles.

Anyway, I've got tons of things I want to do around her today, but top on my list is to get some exercise. I want to do 4 miles with Leslie Sansone if I can find the energy ;-) we'll see how it goes.

I'm gonna go fix me some coffee and sit on the porch and watch it rain and drink my coffee in the peace and quiet.

Cathy hope you enjoyed your coffee today. I'm not sure about the chat room, I'll have to look into it. We are having rainy weather too, rain sun rain sun t-storms sun.... that time of year lol.

Hope glad your friend liked her gift ;) I remember seeing the original hairspray movie years and years ago, I'm glad this one was good. John Travolta just cracks me up dressed as a woman lol.

Nothing much is going on in these parts. Weather is supposed to be crazy the next few days with t-storms, etc... sunny one minute, rainy the next lol.

Other than that, sosdd...work is work.

Anyone see the Simpson movie? I'm wondering if its okay to take my dd who's 5.

Leenie: my fiance wants to see the Simpson's movie, but don't know when. I'll report back if it's soon.

Cathy: you are doing so great! You rock and inspire! And I would love to sit on the porch with some coffee and watch it rain. It reminds me of being a kid at home. We would always sit outside when it rained. We don't have any place that's covered now to do it. I'm one of those strange people who love rainy days.

We did an Easter Seals motorcycle run this morning. It was around 60 miles and very nice. After we had lunch, mexican brunch, yummie! and then visited the Humane Society looking for a new dog. No luck yet. Later I think we'll see a movie, just don't know which one.

Boy we had a blast swimming last night..we swam around that pool for 3 hours in the dark with a full moon above, it was really cool... I have a headache this morning LOLOL ROFLMFAO :lol3:

Hope your day sounded excellent !!! I don't know if you have these by you but they are called Abandoned Pets? instead of them using "shelters" to hold the pets they use foster homes, people who actually keep the pets in their homes until some one adopts them. Thats where I got my dog. Its a calmer experience for the animal, less trauma. I got my dog 10+ years ago. You might want to check to see if there is one in your area. You can describe the type of dog / cat you are looking for and they will match you up. Whats nice is the people who foster them tells APs about the animals personality. Its a cool thing.

Well nothing on the home front is happening here. Got some things to do around the house like clean my bathroom floors and maybe a run to walmart :D

Yawn - camp is finally over - well, at least for a week, until the next one starts!! :lol: I'm VERY tired, but at least all the dashing here and there made sure I didn't gain!

I'm going to spend the day playing 'catch-up' with my chores I haven't done in two weeks :o and then chill this evening - ahhhhh.... I can hardly wait to have some time to myself!

Hope - I LOVED 'Hairspray' - :lol: Too funny - and I had the song 'Good Morning, Baltimore' in my head for days!!

Leenie - I'm so jealous! The one thing I want to add to our home is a pool... maybe some year... :lol: I grew up with a pool, but DH didn't (being English), so we're not entirely in agreement about the benefits of spending $50K!! :joker:

Right - off to do the chores - the poor bird's cage is so messy, I don't think he can find himself! :lol3:

Heather, glad you made it through phase 1 of camp. We have an above ground pool, it cost about 10K when all is said and done (deck, chemicals, covers, etc) its 18' x 34' oval. Tell DH you don't need to spend 50k to have fun ;)
