Leenie - I'm looking for a better one. Knowing that I can take it or leave it makes for a much less stressful situation. Plus, I already know someone that works at one place, so I already have an in.

Hi Chicks!
I'm still here...feeling a bit disappointed :( . Matt called this afternoon; he's o.k., but he can't come home because the fires have gotten closer and US 1 is closed for 16 miles between the county line and where he's located . He's still working hard..feeding a lot of hungry firefighters :hun:. I don't think we'll be able to visit him between the road closures and the visibility. We've had smoke and ash here most of the day...and we're 50 miles from where the fires :flame: :flame: are burning!
Leenie: I'm sorry your under so much stress ; I know that you'll do fine in your new position! Hope: I'm sorry to hear about your dog. :( I remember years ago when my old (12) dog couldn't get up the back steps. I had to come down and carry her in the house. As it turned out, it was arthritis in her hips. The doctor told us to give her an asprin, and she was fine. I hope the vet will have good news for you! Buddly: I'm glad to hear you're having a good day. It's so nice when Spring finally shows up! ;) Enjoy your great weather! Sassy: I'm glad you're feeling better. Your chicken salad sounds delish  Is it from a restaurant..or could you post the receipe here? Vanessa: :welcome3: I know you'll enjoy being part of this group! Debbie, Cathy, Heather, Liz, CIN; and anyone else I might have missed: :grouphug: |

Hola Amigas!
Hey Everybody!
 The Chicken Mango Salad is from Qdoba Here is a description of it from their website: "Qdoba Mexican Grill Goes Tropical; Introduces Chicken Mango Salad When the heat is on, Qdoba Mexican Grill knows customers search for lighter fare, and the Chicken Mango Salad will hit the spot. It recently was introduced into select locations in Colorado and Florida as a test item for the growing franchise. The new item blends Qdobas tropical mango salsa with a tangy lime vinaigrette dressing over shredded romaine lettuce and their signature adobo chicken. The salad is presented in a crispy tortilla bowl served with cheese and sour cream. The menu item, like all of Qdobas options, are not pre-made and can be customized to fit any guests liking. The tropical mango salsa is made in the restaurant and customers can request to have their Chicken Mango Salad naked, without the bowl. The price of the Chicken Mango Salad is $ 5.99 in most locations..............." All the flavors just go so well together! The lime vinagrette dressing is awesome! And as it says you can customize it however you want it, they make it right there in front of you, just like Subway, only this is SouthWest/Mexican. Hoping your all having a wonderful :sunny: Sunday!  |
Debbie- I would consider that but don't know what I would take. I have a BS in psych which I have never officially used. In the last 4 years I took the Series 6 & 63, which allows me to sell mutual funds, annuities, retirement plans, etc. I can also sell Life and Health insurance and have a CLTC designation (long term care). I love the financial planning aspect, just not the sales part of it. I wouldn't mind making a salary doing debt counseling, I just don't want to go find the clients that need it. I would prefer them just walk-in, but if nobody shows one day, I would still like a pay check. I'm looking for an agency that offers these services I guess.
I didn't hate my last job, it's just that you have to feel good everyday to do it. You have to get up and go sell yourself, network, and be motivated. It was rewarding and very important, I just constantly battled with myself daily not to just hide in my house instead. |
My neighbor is mowing again. It has gone from one day inbetween, to two days, to 3. I guess that is progress. Maybe the therapy is working.:D
I actually did something today that I had been putting off (understatement of the year). I had a big pile of old mail, bills, magazines, etc. on my kitchen table and 2 chairs. I went through it all, paid bills, shredded stuff, filed, and basicly did what normal people do with mail. Took me almost 2 hrs but it is done. I even had my 2005 taxes in there! and my 2006. :o The exciting thing is that besides the relief in getting rid of so much trash is that I found a $70 refund check that I didn't know I had! I feel rich.:carrot: Wishing you all a nice surprise too!! |
