Sassy - did you enjoy your time out of the house? Man it's been a long time that you've been stuck inside. Cabin fever? where is the rest of our gang? what's everybody up to? I gotta run for now but will check back later or at least tomorrow hugs, Cathy |
Hey all.
Well I have tried the Bupropion (generic Wellbutrin) for one month, at first it was okay, but I then realized that I most likely still had some Wellbutrin in my system still, as the month went on, I just wasn't feeling as good as I was on the Wellbutrin, so DH called the dr while I was getting ready for work and there is a reason why. The Wellbutrin is a time realeased thing so it releases all throughout the day/night, where as the Bupropion does not do the time release thing, so no I'm not imagining it, that came straight from the dr. So as of now I'm back on my Wellbutrin XL. I know the generic is cheaper (only $5 cheaper for me) but to me, feeling better means more to me than saving 5 measely dollars. Anyways, yes it was nice getting out, even if it was only to work! lol. But only 3 more nights (including tonight) and we're off for 10 days! :D :D We're not going anywhere, just gonna do a few things around town (if the weather is okay) if not we will just stay at home! lol. So I hope you all are doing good! |
Good evening!
Had a rough day today. Didn't want to get out of bed, was home on my lunch and almost in tears. A good part of that was because I had a pounding headache, but I was just feeling drained as well. My doctor recently prescribed anti-depressants to help me sleep, since you can't get addicted to them like sleeping pills. They seem to help just take the edge off when I'm having trouble sleeping. My main problem sleeping is I can't turn off my brain. Just keeps whirling away a mile a minute, about important things, stupid things, anything. Other than a lobotomy, any suggestions for shutting up that inner monologue? :dizzy: :?: |
Hi reddress, your body can have an addiction to antidepressants, i guess maybe not in the conventional way of thinking. But take them for awhile, and when you skip a day or something you might very well notice feeling awfully edgy, irritated, yuck yuck yuck, get a headache etc. Try to whean off of them and you might very well feel like a monster emotionally, and have many different physical ailments. But everyone is different.

campbell, true enough. Went through that with Paxil a few years ago, though my doctor still doesn't believe me that there are withdrawal symptoms! Ah well. I'm only taking these as needed for help sleeping, not every day. Here's hoping the intermittent dosage keeps me from getting attached to them in that way.

Good Morning Ladies,
Sassy I'm glad your feeling better  and your right $5 is nothing to pay for good health. Reddress good luck on the anti's. Where are you from? Cathy, Kem, Cin, and the rest of the gang (((LIZ))) Nothing happening today cept my sister is coming over with the girls and spending the night so I need to do some cleaning asap. Other than that :s: nodda . |
Good morning everyone.... Lordy it's good to be back here.... Life has been nuts the past month or so...
Am in my Jan/Feb funk and have gained back 7 pounds of my hard lost 20... however, I've hooked up with a person who has recently moved to our community who seems to be what I have been searching for.. for years (for counselling). I will be seeing her this week .. we had our consult appt last week and we are clicking!! Am off to a medieval weekend... will be checking in again soon... Be well everyone!! Have missed you! |
good morning gang
I used the new Walk Slim dvds by Leslie Sansone this morning and did 2 miles :carrot: man it feels good to get the exercise in. Judomom - it's great to see ya! we miss you when you're not here! I'm so glad that you found the person you've been looking for, for years! that's awesome! keep us posted! Leenie - have a great day with your sister! Hey RedDress and Redhead! hope you have a great day! Kemp - what ya up to today girlie? it was COLD this morning but the sun is shining so it's warming up. Sassy - enjoy your 10 days off! wow that sounds nice! enjoy! hope everybody has a blessed day! hugs, Cathy |
Leenie, thanks, so far so good. I've taken them twice now, and both nights slept really well. I didn't take one last night, because I'd taken muscle relaxants to deal with a terrible tension headache, and didn't want to mix meds. I got to bed late, but that was my own fault, rather than insomnia for a change. Oh, and I'm in southern Ontario. :brr: Lots of snow and cold right now. I love winter, but I don't love people who don't shovel their sidewalks! I walk to work, so climbing over snowbanks is a little crazy sometimes!
cathy, I had a good day today, thanks for asking. Friday was a nightmare, but it had nothing to do with me emotionally. Just a water leak at work directly above a main computer, and then the stink of all the cleaning supplies making me nauseous. Ugh. Wasn't nice. I worked an extra shift today though, and a little extra money helps with the stress. :D The FH and I turned around and bought wedding invitation supplies, so there went the money from the shift. Ah well. Getting the supplies is a relief too, because it means one more thing off the list! Judomom, I have to ask, what belt are you? I'm from a judo family myself, though I dropped out after getting my yellow belt. The head instructor at the club was way too pushy about competing, and I wasn't interested. He would never take no for an answer though, so I just stopped doing judo all-together. My dad on the other hand, just got his second dan last year. :woohoo: |
happy sunday gang
