Lightbulb Slow cooker vs. Pressure cooker

I just got a great cookbook of healthy slow cooker recipes. Trouble was I didn't have 6-8 hours to set it cooking before dinner, so I used the same recipe but in the pressure cooker. It worked perfectly. I guess the stewing process of the slow cooker is similar to the pressurized stewing process in the pressure cooker. For timing I used the time it would normally take for the longest-cooking ingredient, in this case it was dried lentils.

I'll post the sbd friendly lentil soup in recipes. It was delicious!

Hope this is useful to somebody!

I agree with you Heidi!

I love using my pressure cooker when I am short on time and it does a fantastic job of braising meat. I always use it when I make the "Etheopian Braised Chicken" that is listed under Phase I Entrees.

Good idea! I'll put this under the new Hints section in Recipes.
