Kokomo Congratulations on losing your first 2 lbs! you are so close to your final goal. Keep up the great work.

Flower Congratulations on your 2.5 lbs loss!

LittleElection Hang in there and you will get that pound gain off plus lose more.

Well I am still struggling. But determined to have a loss next week.

LittleElectron 12-24-2006 01:08 AM

Phew, hang in there everyone! I did decently eating today, and really enjoyed my workout. In even better news, when I thought I was up one pound, I was actually reading the scale incorrectly! I didn't have my contacts in and thought the half way marker was actually the line that designated 10 pounds. I'm actually at 165, which is a loss of 4 pounds from when I last weighed myself. That was a bit ago, but I'm happy :) YAY!!

flower 12-24-2006 03:01 PM

Yeah Littleelectron!

I was bad bad bad yesterday, but I promise to be good good good today.

LittleElectron 12-24-2006 05:25 PM

You can do it, flower!

flower 12-25-2006 02:11 PM

Well hello everyone .. Iam also new here but have posted on another site ... I really want to take the chal..for valintines with everyone .I think we only have 7 weeks from today?? anyway I will try for 10 pounds by then If I get more BONUS!!! great site I love it ... just a thought about not feeling so wonderful when you lose some weigh..perhaps that within ourselves we feel that weightloss will cure everything .... its just the start to making things right ... the rest will come when we really believe we are beautiful inside and out .....
today Christmas Day everyone wants to know why iam on "DIET" when its the holidays ... I surprised myself by telling them ,that My Christmas Present to myself, is to not diet again ..but to make my way of eating a way of life and I have more energy and and feel much better ,just knowing that I have taken the steps to be true to myself.. 10 pounds of my body .. But 100 pounds off my shoulders worrying about my weight ...... have a great holiday everyone ...... annie

LittleElectron 12-25-2006 10:57 PM

Welcome, Annie. That sounds like the best Christmas present ever :) And wow, only seven weeks to go! i better get my butt in gear!

annie4atkins 12-26-2006 01:09 PM

hi everyone ...I got on the scale and had no loss ..however silly me I weight at 12 noon instead of in the morning so iam waiting till next weigh in when do you all do that ..is it monday??? please let me know so that I can be accountable thanks !!!! nothing taste as good as thin feels ??? lier lier lier hahahahaah just kidding ..... hope santa was good to everyone ... I get my new exercise bike this week yeh!!!!!! maybe I will be like a snowman and start melting yessssssssssssssssssssss annie

LittleElectron 12-27-2006 12:30 AM

Hehe, Annie you are too funny. I weigh in the mornings. I tend to weigh everyday, but only because scale fluctuations don't really both me. For example, i am up two pounds from yesterday, but it is also my TOM. In short, what I'm trying to say, is weigh whenever you want to and report back however often you would like. We don't have a set anything, just the end date.

annie4atkins 12-27-2006 09:37 AM

Great thanks for info... and by the way .. they always did say that fat people are funny hahaha wonder where the humor goes when we get thin? I could never weigh myself everyday .. You are one brave soul.. I could never afford the scales that I would have to smash, when they talk dirty to me.. think thin people!!!!

flower 12-27-2006 11:37 AM

My scale was up today as well, I am retaining water, rings are tight. Gonna stop the diet soda, return to water today and see if that helps any. I threw out my most favorite ratty pants and t-shirt yesterday. As roomy as it is, there is no way I look good in it, and it is way too comfy to keep me modivated!

annie4atkins 12-27-2006 01:37 PM

hi flower .. your right on the pants .. First thing my doctor told me was that the more you wear elastic waist pants, the fatter you will be .. and I really think he is right ..... however who can afford to go and buy new clothes yet ..I will not as I want a whole new wardrobe for a new me ....I will be not be taking in any of my clothes when I lose all that I have to lose ....out with all the old clothes!! ...and with all the fat!!! dye my hair ....wow I will be a sexy new wife for hubbie.....water water water water is the key! Flush that fat out !!!!! annie

LittleElectron 12-27-2006 11:37 PM

Yeah, the clothes are so key! I finally realized I needed to lose weight when i could no longer button my gorgeous winter white long wool coat I had purchased. I miss that coat almost as much as I miss having a discernible waist.

annie4atkins 12-28-2006 01:51 PM

WAIST? What is that :o( well one of these days ... snowing to beat the ban out there ... feeling good today about losing .Got into a pair of pants without elastic... outch!!!! talk about sucking in that gut! I will have marks of shame around my belly for the next week ,and possible surgery to remove the indentation marks ..... oh the pain of being beautiful....... :o)

ready for the challenge!

I'm a little late to join but won't officially begin tallying pounds until after the weekend when I have returned home from the holidays. Right now I'm just trying not to overdo anything.
Last year I joined a Valentine's challenge which coordinated well with my birthday being a week before the holiday. I lost 15 pounds and have been able to keep it off for the whole year. Now I think I would like to see if I can lose another 10-15, again because my birthday is approaching, but also because I'm taking a trip to the Caribbean in March. I found the supportive nature of this forum to be the real moral support I needed.

I look forward to joining all of you in this challenge beginning next week.

Happy New Year!
