My motivation to loose 30 by Sept..

Well I really wanna loose like 45 by Nov, so when I saw this challenge it fit really well

But my motivations are, I am a tribal belly dance instructor, I think all body shapes are beautiful and conductive to belly dance and to be honest I have always been a thick , chubby, curvy girl, when I was younger I hated it and really struggled with it, but as I got older, got married , had kids, became more spiritual and hung out with larger but very happy and spiritual people I cared about my weight less and less.
Then I got into more Yoga to help with my belly dance and my opinions on health changed a bit from that, I went totally vegan, I do not look down on larger people what so ever and I still think curves are beautiful but from reading about calorie poisoning and toxic fat and things like that, my attitude changed about my own personal body, I do not judge others, everyone has their own path and has the right to their own peace with their body, but I became unpeaceful with mine is the best way to say it, well with being larger . So I was already starting to really want to make a change, On June 1st I choose to go mostly raw vegan , this came from doing alot of research and alot of meditation, I smoke cigs and tried to quit last summer when I was heavily into Yoga, I did quit for 3 months and was totally unable to lose weight no matter what I did. Alot of people might judge me on this but I will be honest it is the reason I started smoking again. Or well the biggest reason, so my plan and motivation is now, I love living raw, love yoga, love being healthy, love being a thinner dancer, I want all those things , but the smoking is not condusive to any of them, I really want to quit, BUT I want the weight off this time first. I dont want to fight both battles at once. So I set a quit date of Nov 1st, I want to have all my excess fat off by then, and maybe even a few lbs extra gone so that way if I gain just a lil bit it wont be a huge deal.
And I have some really big belly dance events in Sept and Oct I would like to be thinner for.
And its part of a over all plan for next year, I figure, loose all this weight by late fall, quit smoking, get my skin looking beautious , get my body detoxed all winter and come out next spring to the major dance events and parties and ect all transformed
A bit like a caterpillar/butterfly thing you know?

So thats my story

I would love to hear others motivations and hopes and dreams!

I have lotsa things that are my motivation - I think the thing that topped it off was that I can't fit into a uniform that my company is ordering for an event, so I had to get something that looked similar in my size...the only girl that doesn't match everyone else...
Goal: Getting into misses sizes so I can order anything from any catalog / store if I want it...not having to search out the shirts that come in plus sizes or stores that carry plus sizes is going to be great. Target has the BEST clothing section that takes up 3/4 of the side of the store, but the plus size dept is like 5 fixtures :/

Wow....alot of new ppl!! I'm having a hard time keeping track of who's who!!
Anyway....my motivation.....hmmmm....
I guess it all started at Christmas time at my company Christmas party....My company paid for all of us to go to Mohegan Sun Casino in CT....we had dinner and everyone got rooms (Good times!). The following week, I got the pictures back from the event and I was mortified!! I haven't ever seen myself look so big! My whole body just looked swollen to me. Needless to say, I haven't been able to make myself wear that outfit again....
Ever since then...I said that was it!
I started my new lifestyle for New Years and I did really well at first. I quit drinking for 6 weeks, excercised almost everyday (sometimes twice a day), and most of all I was excited about it! I felt fabulous! I ended up loosing 11lbs!! Life was good! But unfortunately, I've become lazy again. Back to my partying ways again too. I haven't gained anything back besides maybe a lb or 2 here n there, I usually hover around 150 now...which is fine by me b/c I started at 161! But I don't feel as great as I did when I first started. And I'm ready to see that scale moving down again.
My motivation is that damn picture! I keep it on my desk at work so I have to see it everyday! I will NEVER let myself look like that again! And I have alot of old sizes in my closet ranging from 2-7...I will be happy w/a 6!!! I want to be able to get into an old pair of jeans from High School and feel the satisfaction of being able to get them over my butt and zip them up again!
....That's my story!

An hour last night on the elliptical machine. Goal is to be able to go full speed without my heart rate staying over 160! Calories-wise, stayed at 1450. On track to meet this goal! (I have to!)
