Here I Am...
I'm here!! And might I just say that after reading all these posts, you are all just amazing. Honestly each of you have given me even more motivation. Thanks!
As for me, I got the stent out, got released from the doctor to take it easy but get back into life, and I have actually been on my bike twice this week. I still have an area not completely healed so he did the whole silver nitrate thing. One word, OUCH!! I almost punted him across the room. But I survived and have had a great week. I dropped 1 pound and have high hopes for the rest of the month. I went to put my shorts on the other day figuring that since they were tight when I put them up that they would be bigger but I could get away with it. Um, no. I buttoned them, zipped them and they hit the floor. Even over my hips! Can you believe it? I didn't know whether to laugh or cry b/c I had to have some clothes ya know? So I went to Walmart last night and got me a couple of pairs of cheap shorts to get by with. All is excellent! :spin: My goals are pretty high this month. But I've been out of it for about 8 weeks. 1-Workout everyday even a little 2-Watch out for the food and calories 3-Try to start back into my weights slowly 4-Gulp that water. (I've been doing terrific for this whole time for healing but now it's the real deal again) My whole family has been on Spring Break this last week so between hubby and kids, I'm ready to get a groove going. :cb: |
Nice to hear from you Tracy. So glad you're feeling better and ready to get back on the band wagon :lol3:
Today was not too bad. DH & I settled our differences (pretended nothing happened as usual which is another whole subject) and are communicating once again. Eating was good until dinner. Had Mom & Dad, FIL and DGS over for spinach salad, snitzel, scalloped potatoes, beans, applesause and carmel apple pie. Only had a little of each but I'm sure it was far too much. Really gotta work on getting my water back up there. Anyways, as usual its late and I've got a lot to do ... so I'll catch up with you tomorrow. Have a spectacular Monday. :high: Joy |
Morning chicks!
Well, this weekend totally sucked in the dieting department, but with the new week comes renewed motivation on my part. This has got to happen, and I have got to do it. Somebody tazer me if I start to slide, even a little. I have no excuse! Breakfast and lunch should be easy to get through, but I have no idea what dinner is going to be like. Steve and I are going to look at a new place right after work, so I'll probably grab something with him, either out or at his place. We'll see. I just realized what time it is--I need to get moving! I'll be back this evening with comments! Have a great day, chicks! ~Elisha |
Good morning ladies! I'm back from Atlantic City - no big wins at the casinos, but I didn't blow a ton of money either. So all in all, it was good. And - I actually did well with eating, considering I was on a little vacation - pretty much only drank water with my meals, and had lots of salads. Splurged a little on stuff here and there, but overall, it wasn't horrible. LOL
Now I'm back into routines and ready to kick my challenge in the butt! Hope everyone had a great weekend! |
I Worked Out Today!!!!
Well, after about a month of trying to get myself balanced with finally working again after over 2 years, I decided last night that it was now or never to get back into exercising. I did manage to lose five lbs since working but nothing since and I had to do something so that I can get myself where I want to be. I set the alarm last night for 6 so that I can do what is needed but this morning, I was up at 4 instead and couldn't fall asleep. I am not as tired as I was and I did get 40 minutes of kickboxing in this morning. :cb: :cb: It was fun and hard to get through. I did it though and tonight when I get home from work I plan on running for about 20 minutes. :tread:
I do go get an eye exam after work but I should be home by 6 and want to get that done so that I can work myself back up to 3 miles 2-3 times a week. That will be a challenge but I will try to manage it. I won't push myself to the point of break though since I still need to be able to work all week (I was off last thursday but don't get another day off until friday). I also have tomorrow's workout planned. I will do cardio bootcamp (45 minutes) and the strength training (30 minutes) that was on the video I did today. That will be fun and interesting. I just have to get up early enough todo that and get cleaned up before 8 tomorrow since DD's nurse comes in the morning. Oh well, I will manage something. I have been able to read most of the posts but don't have time to comment right now since I do want to realx before going to work. I will make a point to keep up with the posts from now on since I will have (hopefully) more time to do it soon... and more energy if I stick with exercising again. Hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you all later. |
Does anyone do Tae-Bo? I used to, back before I got pregnant, and haven't touched the tapes since. I keep meaning to, but it's kind of hard w/ a toddler. LOL So - my sweet, sweet hubby finally set up the new DVD/VCR combo we bought in our bedroom while I was gone over the weekend! So as soon as I get our bedroom spring cleaned and reorganized to give me space, I can start working out in my bedroom! YAY!!! New motivation! Just had to share that!

Morning everyone!
Just thought that I'd stop in report on the week and weekend. I did ok over the weekend, not fantastic, but better than I usually do. I did get plenty of water in, exercised 4 times last week, and stuck to plan 75% of the time. So, here we all are at a new week! Good luck everyone!! |
Good Afternoon Ladies,
Only have a minute but wanted to report in....treadmilling done, water going down, fats are at a minimum! WOO HOO Deciding to be in control is a great thing. Jenn - I LOVE TAEBO! I'm really sick of my tapes though. I've had them for 6 years. I just pulled up the site the other day and am going to order some new ones. By the time they come I should be able to handle them. I tried to do a tape the other day (after not doing it for 2 years and having a baby 6 months agol)....well, let's just say it wasn't pretty. So, I'm starting out on the treadmill and working up to Billy! LOL Have to run. I hope you are all enjoying your workouts today! ;) |
Hello All ! :D
It has been a good day.......breakfast was toast & tea.....lunch was minimuffin & pineapple.....dinner was steak & salad & baked potato. I went out and tilled up the garden after dinner, so that used a few calories! Only got down 40-oz of water today, but will need more after I get done with WATP! Tracy.....It was so good to hear from you again, and glad you are finally feeling better. You got your program all planned out.....easy does it. I'm sure your body will tell you when you do too much! Joy....Glad things got ironed out with DH.....no need for the added stress. Mom2Alex......Welcome back! Sounds like you had a fun vacation! Gabrielle......It is hard to find a balance between home and family and work and......well, you probably know that by now. You are doing great making time for exercise! Andrea.....Weekends are always the hardest for me.....but you were right on target! Yea You! FunMom....Jenn.....if you are bored with your TaeBo tapes, why not do an inventory and trade? Rest time is over......got some walking to do! |
Hi everyone!
My weekend was pretty good, but not as good as it could have been. I gave myself a pat ont he back though because I did manage to resist the unhealthy party foods, and opted for much tastier good foods that were offered. I spent a good part of today walking around a little border town window shopping with friends. We've all agreed to go back tomorrow and next week after pay day rolls around. The deals down there are fantastic. All that walking was good exercise. We also all decided to start going to the gym together in the afternoons before thier children need them to be home. Right now I am trying to decide if I want to do some bellydancing  or if I just want to call it a night. Good luck to eveyone this week! |
Just glanced at my post from last night... can't believe I forgot to mention that I walked/ran for 6.9K (80 minutes) yesterday morning.
Today was usual OP eating (left over snitzel for dinner) Got up this morning and did one hour of Tai Chi... they say it's a good work out... but I kinda feel like I'm cheating and not working hard enough.... it's my Western thinking ... I think :lol3: Went for a 15 minute walk during morning coffee (really brisk - I forgot to bring a jacket to work). After dinner I worked on planting pansies in some "railing planters". I've never tried TaeBo but have been intrigued by it... maybe I'll rent it or borrow it from the library if it's availabl :?: WTG chickies - sounds like everyone is starting the week off well. :grouphug: |
Tae-Bo is pretty fun. Although I will shamefully admit that some of my tapes aren't even opened. LOL Of course, 3 weeks after I bought them, I found out I was pregnant, so that's mainly why. They've been collecting dust for about 3 1/2 years now. Time to dust them off.
Ok - getting back to routine after being away SUCKS! LOL I only got in 40 oz. of water yesterday, and I still feel like I'm playing catch up on sleep. Hopefully today is a better day! |
Evening all! :)
After work today, I had a bone density scan......yes, I really am that old! :lol3: The tech said the spine looked good, but she could see I was beginning to lose some bone in the hip area. OH SURE, there is a lot more I could be losing around the hip area besides bone! Sheesh! The doctor should call tomorrow with the full report, but, so far, all they are recommending is calcium and 'weight bearing exercise'! Mud.....How great to have friends to go to the gym with! You will be encouraging each other and having fun too! Joy......Did you say EIGHTY minutes of run/walk? That is sooo good! Makes me want to get up and do a mile or so..... Mom2Alex.....Getting your groove back after time away is sooo hard! I usually spend my first day back at work pouting....and buying lottery tickets! Food today was ok......cereal & milk & orange juice for breakfast......lunch was yogurt and carrots and stringcheese......dinner was a burger & baked beans & cottage cheese & another orange juice. I probably should total that all up, as I always underestimate calories! Have to do the WATP tape tonight, soon as DH finishes his nap in the chair! Have a great evening! |
Hello
TOPS week's best loser yesterday (got to choose a prize...water bottle) I lost 6 3/4. Today I finally got in my first bike ride of the season. It was great AND I got to see and pet a very large black snake that was crossing the trail. Now it's back to work tomorrow and the start of a few rainy days, I hear. :rain: I doubt I can top over a six pound lost next week, but I'll give it a try. It's going to take a lot of work. :dancer: :strong: :tread:

Go Turtle Go - You're smokin' :smoking: I'm so proud of you. What a bonus - a water bottle - Good Choice! 6 3/4 pounds gone forever - WHOO HOOO
Hey Jenn - let me know how the TaeBo goes :sumo: - I'm sure it will be fun and get you back into the "groove" MsRD - Bone density tests -- have you been having problems with your hips or was this a routine test? Let us know what the doctor recommends. Well - I was 6 points over - again - on my eating. I keep chanting to myself, I'm never going to get to 199 by June 1st If I keep this up.... so far it's not working when it's time for the after dinner snacks - if I didn't have those I would have been within 1 point  Got up this morning and did a hour of Tai Chi, I walked briskly at coffee for 15 minutes and then went for a walk with DH after work for a hour.... 135 minutes today.... I still feel like I'm cheating adding the Tai Chi on ... but I am doing it so.... Hey Hikin - where are you at? :?: |
