My November plan is 1800 minutes (averaging 60 minutes per day), including 20 strength-training sessions and 25 stretching sessions.

gardenerjoy - your exercise minutes are so impressive. Congrats on passing the midway point on 2 of your goals, midway through the month. Also congrats on exercising everyday so far in November - very impressive! I'm going to try to be bit a bit more consistent with my exercise. I do a few days in a row and then don't exercise for 3 or 4 days again.

flower1: My current daily exercise streak has been going since July 1, 2016. That's been helpful for me because it's just something that I do every day without question. On holidays, that's occasionally meant 10 minutes of stretching -- but that keeps my daily streak going. It's also made it obvious how to increase minutes over time. There's some common advice to increase exercise by 10%. By measuring minutes per month, that's easy. Although, any time that I'm over 1000, I increase by 100. My monthly amount goes up and down with occasional injuries and busy-ness. The 1800 minutes is my max -- I'm grateful for an injury-free year!

gardenerjoy - that's so impressive that you have exercised every single day since July 2016! I added interval training once per week into my daily walks which helps to increase my overall speed. My interval walks consist of a 2-3 min warm-up, then I do 2 minutes walk medium speed, and then 1 minute very fast. I alternate this pattern for about 30 minutes and then do a slow cool down for about 2 minutes for a total of about 35 minutes. Interval training is a very good way to burn fat and also to improve your cardio fitness. I also do interval training on the stationary bike which is a super great workout. I may add some strength training next month but for now my goals are to get back into working out and lose some of the weight I have gained.

flower1: That's great that you have intervals going with your walk. I did a bit of that earlier this year, but it got dropped somewhere. Time to pick it up, again. I definitely felt like it made the scale a bit friendlier.
