KStrong: Congrats on the new low in the waist measurement! I think that's what people see, after all, rather than a number on the scale. Plus, I always like how it feels when my waist tucks in a bit. When I lost weight a few years ago, I aimed for and achieved "normal weight" but I couldn't sustain it. Since then I gained 50 pounds and, then, lost 30. Now, I'm happy with a higher number that my body likes to maintain. Me and my body are more at peace together when I'm not fighting it.
KStrong: It's definitely a delicate balance! I can't just let guard down, either. If I eat whatever I think of, I will be right back up those 30 pounds and more. I'm trying to learn to appreciate some attentiveness that is short of obsession and it's not always easy to find the line. Checking in at 3FC helps a lot! Have you checked out the Beck forum on 3FC? That's where I post my thoughts and feelings and challenges nearly every day. Here's our October thread: https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/bec...ddy-coach.html

Kstrong, I liked your comment about your fuel gauge being broken when you eat carbs. Mine too. DH loves carbs and never has a weight problem. He doesn't understand my problem with carbs.
That's a disappointing number, but useful information. It tells me that while I'm moving less due to a twisted ankle, I also want to reduce my calorie intake.
hellloooo! Popping in to say i'll join you for November. I've been awol for (ummmm, 6 months? a year? not sure), but i need to ditch a few unwanted lbs again and good to see you're having some thoughtful discussions here, so it looks like a nice place to be
