Ophelia: I had to go back and check my records to be sure, but yep, it's true. You just lost as much weight this week as my best MONTH. So to say that's amazing would be a huge understatement. I don't care whether it was bloat. I never lost more than that in a month, not even the very first month. You're already almost back to where you were mid December, so this last time falling was almost entirely water weight. You only gained MAYBE a pound or two. Hope your schedule settles into more of a routine soon.

VickiLou: Way to go being back within a pound of Onederland. You'll be back there soon. Save me a seat.

Newlyn: Huge :congrat: on reaching 10% down. That does amazing things for your health. Everything I've read says the first 10% is the most important health-wise, so that is an amazing accomplishment. Here's to the next 10%.

Looks like I'm back to my old pattern - one week with a loss, one week about even. Just a quick accountability post while at work. More later. Have a great day everyone!

Thanks, Lacerta!

Do you all normally repost your weights every day or do you just edit your original post?

Lacerta 01-15-2019 09:10 PM

I do a new post most days, and then once a week, I edit in my week's weights into my original post. But whatever works for you and motivates you is what you should do.

opheliaphoenix 01-16-2019 06:44 AM

Newlyn: Thank you, and congrats on hitting your 10% milestone...that's awesome!! :cheer3:

VickieLou: Chipping away bit by bit will get you there...almost in Onederland now, yay!

Lacerta: It was definitely bloat, but thank you!! I'm relieved to see that the real overall damage was minimal this time around. :goodvibes

---------------------

As expected, I jumped back up a bit today to 173.6, but that is just fine considering the overall loss for Week Two. Hope everyone is doing well! I'm starting to get my ability to taste back, so I'm hoping that means that my being sick is nearing an end...fingers crossed! :crossed: Haha. (Apologies for my weigh-ins seeming to be a day behind -- being on night schedule has my weigh-ins happening closer to 8pm now, and sometimes I don't get a chance to record them until the following morning, like today. So, there may be some posts made on the same date, but they will each reflect the correct day they were from on my post.)

This is pretty interesting. My calories are still high (average of 2030 over the past week, although 1669 the previous week) but I've been doing more walking and especially more active minutes. I don't know if this combo is working for me or whether I was just due a loss for whatever weird and wonderful reason. A loss obviously feels good but really I've only lost a pound since the 2nd so...

Kdmay5 01-16-2019 09:24 AM

I weighed in yesterday but never managed to post it. Work and kid's after school activities keep me away from the computer a lot! So I will post yesterday's weight
Jan. 1: 194

End of month goal is 185.

I think I just might hit that goal. Yay!

And the rest of you are doing great. I enjoy reading your posts as they help motivate me to keep on track!

Lacerta 01-16-2019 10:20 AM

Kdmay: Way to go so far this month. Great drop so far. Keep it up.

Newlyn: Hopefully that means you are due for a big whoosh. But whether it is the reason for the drop or not, congrats on being more active.

Follena: Wow, a 2 day trip and you're within normal fluctuation of your pre-trip weight. Traveling is kryptonite for me, so I'm always impressed when someone goes away from their normal routine and doesn't gain weight.

ophelia: That barely counts as a bump when you're still down 1.4 in the last 2 days. Amazing losses.

Snowmama: I lose that way sometimes also. I usually don't lose the first week of the month and then do better the rest, but sometimes I stall again midmonth, and sometimes I lose for a few days and then stay the same for a few days and switch back and forth. I don't seem to be keeping to the same pattern through this journey.

Back up again but I ate with my family last night and it involved french fries and crab and tuna fishcakes. Not hideous but more carbs and greasiness that I would like. Not sure if it's connected but I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pain and nausea. That's continued all day so far and I've cancelled my pottery class. If nothing else I might lose tomorrow simply because I haven't eaten anything! Not my preferred way to do it though!

I'm making another effort to get myself back on track. I have gained back 15lbs of last year's loss and I want to stop it now and go the other direction. I'm starting my workouts again today and working on my eating plan again.
