Ophelia; glad you are staying.
I'm really not concerned who loses 5 pounds first ... it's just good to have a place where I can stay accountable. This week has been extremely generous on weight loss because my system is saying WHAT??? NO SUGAR??? I'm losing all water weight.
Over the years I've done low-carb for up to six months to prepare for weddings or vacations. But I really want to stick with it in the long term. My plan is probably closest to the Atkins plan, not Keto or Paleo. Keto is too low carb for me and Paleo takes too much work with all the organic stuff. I'm still working full time and Atkins allows me to easily eat out with friends. At the end of the day, we all just find what works for us and that's good. Have a great day OP everyone.

Just a fly by today because I have some errands to do. I'm adjusting my goal weight ... seems I had a tremendous amount of water weight which doesn't surprise me since I was eating everything but the kitchen sink before smartening up and going back to my eating plan. I haven't posted an update this month yet, because I've just been hovering between 210 and 211, but I'm almost past my busy time and ready for a whoosh again. Worked about 50 hours this week, but was able to get ready for tomorrow, so I get to take today off, yay! So tomorrow is still busy and then I'm past the crazy time and can relax a bit. Bring on the whoosh!
