Default Full Year Challenge - Mother's Day to Independence Day

I am starting the new thread in Ally's absence. I hope everything is okay with Ally.

The 2018 Full Year Challenge runs for an entire year - Jan 1 to Dec 31. To make it easier for you, the challenge will be broken down into 8 mini challenges as follows (copied this from last year's challenge, hope that's okay):

Challenge 1: New Years Day to Valentine’s Day (January 1st to February 14th)
Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day to April Fools Day (February 14th to April 1st)
Challenge 3: April Fools Day to Mother's Day (April 1st to May 13th)
Challenge 4: Mother's Day to Independence Day (May 13th to July 4th)
Challenge 5: Independence Day to Labor Day (July 4th to September 3rd)
Challenge 6: Labor Day to Columbus Day (September 3rd to October 8th)
Challenge 7: Columbus Day to Thanksgiving Day (October 8th to November 22rd)
Challenge 8: Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve (November 22rd to December 31st)

Weigh-in will be once a week, any day you choose.

You can post as much as you need in order to keep yourself motivated and to check up on others.

Good luck, work hard and have fun! We can do this!!

Thank you for carrying on for Ally, flower!!

I am going to join as well, but am struggling to come up with my goal...

I should be able to drop the first 7 lbs. very fast as they are probably just water.

kfunk - I'm going to try for 5.2 lbs for a challenge weight of 126. We have about 7 weeks in this challenge and my goal is a bit more than 1 lb a week which I think is realistic although it's getting harder the closer I get to goal. I'm trying to keep within my daily points and I don't use fitness points. How about you?

Flower: I think that is very reasonable!! When I exercise I don’t eat back my points either. Sometimes I am bad at even eating my weekly points, but that is silly. I have been back on track since Monday and have lost 5 of the 9 that I gained over the weekend. Hoping I can keep the momentum up!

Thanks for keeping this thread going flower! I am in with ya'll as well. I haven't weighed myself in like 10 days so I will do that Sunday. My goal is still to get back to 189... but I think for this 7 week challenge I'd be happy to just get into the 180s and not go back up! Good luck to you and kfunk!

Challenge 4: Mother's Day to Independence Day (May 13th to July 4th)
Goal get in the 180s (and not gain back into the 190s!)

I have not done well keeping up with the challenges. My weight this morning is back up to 195, a gain of 4.5 lbs. This is not acceptable. I want to have that off and maybe 1 more before my doctor's appointment on June 4, which is 12 days, bring it down to 189. Tough, but possible, especially since my water weight is up because of eating carbs.

Carol Its nice to see you! How have you been feeling? I think its possible to get back to 189 before your appointment. If you already drink a lot of water I would try to get a little bit more in to help flush out your system.

flower and wallace How are you doing?

Still here. Weight is back down to 192 this morning. That shocked me, but according to the color of my pee this morning, I'm dehydrated. I know TMI. LOL I would still like to get down to 189 by my Monday doctor's appointment but even at 192 that is an 8 lb drop since I was there a few months ago so I'm hoping he will notice. Last time he commented on a 4lb drop and said any drop is noteworthy. I agree, and am happy he feels that way. Too bad the appointment is on Monday, right after a weekend. Guess it will be up to me to keep things under control over the weekend. I can do this!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Look like I'm not the only one who is neglecting this thread, but I know all of you are busily posting in other challenges.

I had a couple weeks of eating more carbs and gained a few pounds, so now I'm back off the carbs and my weight and blood sugar are both coming back down.

193 this morning. Still trying to cross over the border into the 180s to bounce around there for a while. The bounce doesn't bother me like it used to since I am gradually bouncing lower. Slow but sure. I seem to maintain better when I lose slowly, although I would love to see a whoosh every once in a while, and would love to only see downward movement. LOL Wouldn't we all?

NSV...when I look in the mirror I'm starting to see some definition around my collar bone area.

Vickie- Good luck to you as well!

Carol- I completely forgot that I was in this challenge, whoops! Your collar bone NSV is awesome!!!

I am close to my goal, but have a handful of challenging events coming up - 2 roadtrips are included in that. I will do my best, but will probably end up maintaining.
