2% Weight Loss Challenge #129

Hello everyone!

Welcome to our new 2% weight loss challenge! Post your weight at the start of the challenge or on joining the thread and your 2% goal. To find 2% of your weight multiply your weight by 0.02. Round up to whatever units your scale measures ie 0.2, 0.5 or 1.

First one to lose 2% is the winner and starts the new thread.

re fast -- I KNOW !!! Crazy. I started trying to lose the beginning of March and hardly moved the scale. weeks and weeks....not much movement despite calorie watching and exercise . But, these last 2 weeks BOOM. Overall, I have lost about a pound a week and I guess my body has just been hanging on to water to play with my mind. I think my body was just mad the last 12 month party was over. Or in shock maybe? Anyway, the fast drop has to end. I do feel great though.

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong when I try to upload a screen shot of a graph to illustrate the crazy up and down ride. I was able to put in in an album. I am not sure how that works for others to see though.

Just before the precipitous drop of the last 2 weeks, I went on an epic (for me) 224 mile gravel trail bike ride solo. I think the drop is related to that. I am guessing my body stored water due to the stress and is finally letting it go. I do continue a 1200 cal diet (approx) and 10-15 miles a day on the road bike, so there is that as well. Whatever - I'll take it! Back in last summer's shorts !! whoo hoo

Is anyone else a weight graph/Excel geek?

nightowlrn Congrats on winning the last challenge!!!! Thank you very much for the words of encouragement on the last challenge, it means more than you know. Great job losing 13 of the 25 and also for taking control before the 25 became 30.

I am going to lurk in this thread until I get back to where I was last time. 80% of my gain was water so it will drop off very fast and its not accurate for this challenge.

kfunk - you have lost so much and you are probably close to losing the last bit slowly. I can imagine 2% losses are super hard for you to attain as you close in to your goal. For me, I am still quite pudgy so the weight comes off easier right now. 10 more pounds, and I won't be able to keep up losing a pound a week pace. That's a good thing...

Find a goal challenge where you set the parameters and goal. Good luck!

Nicole - Good luck - I don't think I will have the losses for this round like I had the last two.
