Good morning everyone - sounds like there is a combo of struggles and wins. I hope everything goes well for everyone. It's tough.

I am starting to get back into the groove now that we are more settled. A lot of expats here and they love to party! Something going on all the time. Also a lot of great bands and there are bands every night / day. We have our fav's that we like to see so we spend a lot of time at bars. Sun afternoon, Mon night, Wed afternoon, Fri and Sat night. Tues and Thurs are the days we have chosen to be people / band free and so I will return to my fasting days on those days. I did learn a very valuable lesson that day drinking and eating a salad only for lunch is not a good idea. Salad does nothing to soak up the alcohol - LOL. But I have gotten myself back into waiting until at least 4 pm and when at the bar eat real food. But some beach bars only serve fried foods ....

Tonight it's a pool / pizza party at a friends house. My plan is not to have a drink until pizza is served. I must control this to get a grip on weight loss.

My husband has decided to lose weight also so it's nice having someone else doing it also.

May everyone have a great week

Thank you for the welcome everyone. Weight was down today but I think it's due to lack of water yesterday. I did quite a bit of cardio yesterday at the gym but forgot my water bottle so I was drinking only when I absolutely had to. At the gym is where I get most of my water in so it was definitely a low day.

kfunk: That is awesome that you ended up winning the DietBet afterall...yay!!! Sorry you're feeling sick, though. Hope you feel better ASAP!

chub: Nice to see you again!

momtopands: Thank you! And, that is so awesome that your work is willing to give the intermittent FMLA to be able to be there for your daughter as needed when she gets home!

wanttochange: It sounds like you have a very fun/exciting schedule! It's a good thing you have a couple days sectioned off during the week to recover and refocus...and, it's great that your husband has decided to try getting healthier, as well! It's always so much easier when your partner or a friend is on board with you.

Joe: I'm glad that you've found some fun videos to use for exercise! I just tried a Zumba video for the first time in YEARS the other night, and - like I was saying on another thread on here today - I was glad I was alone in my living room, because I looked about as coordinated as a newborn baby giraffe...lol. No one else needs to see that but me!

I got in my gallon of water and hour workout yesterday and went down a little today, as I was hoping, to 178.4. I hope I'm able to keep this downward trend for the remainder of the week!

My legs are so sore this morning. I think I walked too much yesterday. Lol. My mom was hospitalized one week before her flight to visit me. We haven't seen each other for 6 months. We had to cancel her tickets for now. I was so upset and couldn't go to sleep last night. So guess what I binged again. At least it made my feel better, so I was able to go to sleep. Well, I'll try to do better today. Joe
opheliaphoenix,I was the same when I started Zumba. Trust me, you'll get better in no time, it's so fun. I like the belly dance. What's your favorite dance moves lol?

gardenerjoy: Nice loss!

Joe: I'll have to keep up with it and let you know which move ends up being my favorite! Right now, it's all a hot mess...lol. Also, I hope today is better for you!

Weigh-in was down a bit more to 177.8 today...still keeping my fingers crossed to finish out the week strong! Yesterday, I took the kids with me on a 3 mile walk with my 3 year old in a back carrier for extra resistance. It was nice to have their company and all get a little exercise in together as a family at the same time! I think I'll be taking them with me more often. Still going strong on the gallon of water a day and will be keeping that up, as well.

OpheliaNice losses these last couple of days. I'll cross my fingers as well that you keep up this downward trend!

Kfunk You got to keep your whoosh. YAY!! Keep doing what you're doing. You're winning the weekend!

flower Nice loss for the week! You're so close to your may goal!

Joe I love my online boot camp! Check out boot camp hub on youtube. There are some free videos on there!

I'm still hanging around the same weight I have been for a couple of weeks. I realized yesterday that I hadn't updated my weight in MFP and when I did my calories dropped. This is the first day I've been on plan with the right number of calories so hopefully i'll make some progress soon. On a positive note my I visited my daughter this evening and we ended up talking about how she's feeling and she asked me a lot of questions. It was the best conversation that we've had in a long time. We talked over an hour! I feel a lot better about her possible discharge on Monday or Tuesday with her finally trying to open up. Keep those prayers going!

momtopands Thank you, hopefully I can string a few of these together! I am so glad that you and your daughter had a good talk and that she will be coming home soon. This must be so difficult, but you are handling it really well.. what did MFP drop your calories to? Nice drop!!

Nicoley same - I went out drinking last night too and chose not to stand on the scales this morning! Saturday was good calories-wise, but Friday I also went out for a drink and a meal. I was fed up of the plateau thing happening and definitely not wanting to reduce calories as a way to solve it, so decided that a 'normal persons night out' would be suitable to jump-start things a bit. Unfortunately (possibly no big surprise here) it resulted in me putting on another 1.5lb by Saturday morning. Then after the good day on Saturday, i'd lost half of that again by Sunday morning, but then went out again and haven't weighed since. Anyway it's Monday, and I really want to get UNDER 56kg, still, so happy i've had a good weekend but the plan now is to knuckle down again this week and see what happens. Clothes-wise etc i'm perfectly happy - this is just an illogical-number-on-scale thing, but I have to say i'm very thankful that I didn't have any plateaus like this whilst I was in proper losing-mode. It's pretty unmotivating!!

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend and emerged feeling positive about the coming week. Seems like things are tad quiet at the mo.
