i'm back from the 2-weeks Europe holiday (and off camping early tomorrow so it's just a quick pop in). Haven't weighed because I've just got off a 7hr+14hr flight and didn't really sleep, so don't think a weigh in would be very consistent at the moment. I did well the first week when I was with my family, and think I would've continued to lose during that week. The second week with friends was harder, but I did ok and made as good choices as I reasonably could, given that we were eating out every meal, and drinking too. So i'm now waiting til tomorrow to see what the outcome will be!......

Snowmama - you're making great progress this month. Congrats. My goal for 2018 is to do the 1000 miles and more if I can. There is a thread for the 1000 miles - it's called "I wanna move it move it all year long".

ange - it must be nice to be back. It sounds like you did really well watching your calories while you were away - great job. Enjoy your camping trip.

ophelia - nice drop!

Kfunk, nicoley and momtopands - you're doing great

I'm still keeping up my walking and trying my best on my food plan. Since this month is almost over I'm going to sign up for the May challenge and hoping I will feel a bit more motivated.

Snowmama You're doing great! You're below where you were before TOM plus you're having some nice NSV'S! Love it when my clothes start to show my changes!

Thankfully TOM isn't bad this month so i'm keeping my new decade! Keep pushing through everyone!

Well, it's 3am and i'm wide awake so decided to have my weigh-in. Wow - i managed to lose weight on holiday!! My aim was to at least hold steady so i'm really pleased that I've done better than that, and even more pleased that i'm still wanting to continue to ditch the last few lb's and my head's still in it. I was pretty strict, without (hopefully) it impacting on anyone else. Must say that when I saw what I would normally have consumed (i.e. what everyone else was consuming) it was enormous in terms of continuous calories and what it totted up to be - big brekkie, icecream, chocolate snacks, big lunches, alcohol, dinner, more alcohol.... The old advice is definitely true - you never look back and say I wish i'd eaten more!
Anyway, my calories are fairly fixed for the next two days whilst i'm off camping/trekking. The scary thing is that I also weighed myself with my backpack on (i'm carrying 10lb water plus all my stuff eg tent, food, sleeping bag, clothes etc), and it still comes in at less weight than I weighed as just myself in January!!

Just here to celebrate a tiny win. Scale says 179.4 this morning! Went to a concert last night, so there was lots of walking (parked a couple of blocks away, walked over to my brother's house after, a couple more blocks, then back to the car) and a little bit of dancing. If I could just go to a concert every night I'd be meeting my goals and more! Ha ha.

amandie: Great work...almost at goal now! And, I hope your knee starts feeling better ASAP.

momtopands: Congrats on hitting a new decade!!

SnowMama: Congrats on all the NSVs, even when the scale is being stubborn! I feel like the NSVs like clothes fitting better and feeling healthier overall are bigger markers of continuing success than what the scale tells us. And, congrats on officially hitting the 170s!

ange82much: Welcome back, and awesome job staying on plan and actually losing weight while on vacation...that's a tough feat!

flower1: I am happy to see you're already gearing up for a monthly challenge next month! I bet you will knock it out of the park.

nicoley73: Best of luck with your super busy schedule coming up, and congrats on hitting a new decade!

Slimmer me: That's awesome! You and Ange both did amazing jobs while on vacation this month...I'm proud of you both!

---------------------------------

Weigh-in jumped back up to 183 for the last couple of days, but finally started coming back down a little to 182.6 today...not quite back where I was yet, but almost. I'm hoping that I can make up some ground to show a loss by the end of the week. I got in my full gallon yesterday for the first time in awhile, so I'm at least happy about that and want to make sure I do it again today to see if it helps get that movement down going a little faster. Hope everyone is having a great day today!

I didn't want to get on the scale today. I weighed later than usual due to an early morning meeting and doctor appointment but i'm putting it on here and hoping it'll go back down tomorrow. TOM is finishing up.

ange, nicoley and snowmama congrats on your losses

Ophelia here's keeping fingers crossed that you get a whoosh soon!

Well, i'm still the same today. I though you were supposed to drop when TOM leaves! I do have an NSV. My favorite denim skirt that I wear all the time is so loose in the waist that I won't be able to wear it soon! I'll be taking measurements next week and am looking forward to seeing some inches lost!

ophelia Great job on drinking all your water!! I hope that you see a whoosh soon. Is it just me, or does it seem like this part of our cycles we stall for a little bit?

nicoley Congrats on hitting your goal!!

Back from camping and another 1lb gone. Wow, that was tough. I might have been rocking along with the weight loss this year, but the fitness/muscle side is bad. Had a great trip in a totally spectacular location (Blue Mountains in Sydney) but I was slow up the hills with the backpack on. I reckon I have another 2-3 weeks to get to maintenance in front of me, then I really need to do something about improving my fitness.

kfunk Yep, super happy about the vacation efforts. Hope your work load eases off soon. How's your diet going with the lack of free time?

momtopands
Great news on the NSV (although it's also a bit sad when you have a bit of 'go to' clothing you can't wear!). Time to go shopping??!

nicoley Wow, you've lost heaps this month! Fantastic work - hope you get to target for April, but anyway you've made great progress already.

ophelia
Steady progress as always You definitely have to put up with a lot of up/down/up/down stuff on your journey, but always do well every month in the end. Great that you're back in the mode and well done with the water.

snowmama you're doing great too. Yep if you're in the mood to buy new clothes it's a good sign that things are going well I reckon, also very satisfying when the clothes you already have start to fit much better. Consistency (no cheating!) really speeds things up for me - sounds like that's true for you too.

slimmerme Yeah to us for negotiating around holiday temptations. It's so worth it when you come home and feel good instead of coming home and feeling you have extra work to do. It's not as if you're ever going to come home and think 'I wish I ate more on holiday'!

flower Keep hanging in there. 'Trying my best on food plan' sounds like maybe you're not fully committed!! Come on, you've only got 9lb to go so get your brain stuck in again for the last few days of April so that you're already off and racing for a great May and get this thing done. Well done on the exercise regime though.

tensi Hi! Thanks for the encouragement. You're new! Great to see you here and good luck with getting stuck in to your plan

It's really nice to see so many people on this thread. Only a few more days of April to go!
