Boopchick. Glad you recognized you were slipping and got back on track. While I am not even close to goal, I definitely get the slippery slope. Just keep remembering all the hard work you have put in already. You can do this!

I’m back home after a two week trip to Europe. I am relieved that I seem to have gained less than a pound while I was traveling. It’s actually nice to get back to the weight loss routine.

Nicely done, boopchick!

GigiMom - I like the dog-food-bag reference. Even for 1 lb losses, I remind myself how important that is by staring at a 1-lb-block of butter. Just think of removing 5 of those from your body...that is A LOT OF SPACE that 5 butter pounds would take up. So, yeah, I like the comparators.

Slimmer me - please tell me stories of Europe. I was in Ireland in Sept/17, and visited 6 countries in Europe in summer, 2015, but I always seem to want more and more and more of Europe. I LOVE EUROPE STORIES!!

I did have a good sleep last night....I was a bit worried that my after-work cardio would interfere with my sleep. But, mostly it did not. I was awake in the middle of the night, but I decided NOT to look at the clock! When I look at the clock, for sure that is a 2-hour-awake-penalty....I kind of feel that because I did NOT look, I might have lost an hour only??

My weight-lifting today was actually pretty good. I did the same routine that I did August, 2017 (...I write down my workouts...and I carry around a binder...YES, I AM THAT WOMAN!!), but was able to go up in my shoulder press, and I did more push-ups and reverse pull-ups than I could in August.

I am really happy about that!

Then I did a yoga class - too much "flow" for my taste. I usually look at yoga as a decent-stretch, but after weight-lifting, flow-yoga just felt too intense. Sigh. Now my hips seriously hurt and are on fire.

But, because I did do 2 x workouts, today, I allowed myself an aero bar after my lunch (which was eggs only).

Slimmerme Welcome back from Europe! Less than a pound gain is amazing. You don’t have to battle the weight souvenir.

KayG Nice job this week!

boopchick Wow big loss!

I.wanna.be.cute Good week for you too!

Today is my weigh in and I lost 2.5 pounds. The “bat wings” on my arms are a bit discouraging, but I am looking forward to leaving the 210s soon.

Good Morning everyone, looks like everyone is on a roll with this challenge. I got lazy for a few weeks with my exercise but I am back on track, just had a yogurt and apple, gonna finish my tea and walk on the treadmill and do my workout.
Topsy81 Welcome and good luck on your journey.

OMG @ all the scale-losses being reported in here!! I am super-envious right now.

I don't weigh until Saturday, but I do not know if I will lose 1 lb this week. If I lose 0.5 lbs, I will still be quite happy.

I did limit my calories yesterday, and did an extra workout, but today, I am really struggling with calorie-control.

Today, I did go to yoga, I did reduce my calories by 400, and maybe I can squish in a walk this afternoon. So, I am feeling good about today.

BOOM!

Motoring at the moment and lost 10lb so far this challenge, although i'm not updating the ticker with today's weight as it seems low for my overall trendline (therefore not real??). Anyway it's somewhere in the vicinity of 126lb at least which means I only have around 3lb to go to reach my target target
Think my plan is to stick with exactly what i'm doing til I do get to target (meticulously counting cals), then ease off a bit on the measuring as I don't really enjoy it (probably just stick to measuring the big ticket items eg pieces of meat etc), and see whether I can semi maintain/semi lose a little more for a while whilst eyeballing volumes etc. Anyway first things first and stick with what i'm doing.

S: 25.5% fat (bmi 23.2)
G (june 21): 19%
I just had to scroll all the way back to find out what ny goal was. I see I did a fat percentage instead of pounds. I did see a news segment that tested scales and the better ones were off 4% (recording additional 4% than reality) so I keep that in mind and as long as the number is going down I am happy.
(Therefore I prob started at 21.5)

Anyway it’s 24.9 (20.9) today. Maybe the percent is too confusing to track here.

By Summer I want to be at least back to 124.
So 8lbs to drop from today’s 132.,

I did weigh in on Saturday and for the third week in a row my scale said THE SAME NUMBER. Like to the second decimal. Abysmal.

Saturday was the end of Week 1 of my 5-week challenge to lose 5 lbs. So, now I have to try and lose 5 lbs in 4 weeks. TOUGH TO DO.

I did go walking for 2.25 hours on Sunday - so, I actually did about 3 hours MORE exercise this week than a "normal" week.

For the upcoming week, here is what I am doing:

Monday: stepcardio
Tuesday: weightlifting (and then maybe yoga...but maybe not)
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: yoga
Friday: weightlifting
Saturday: stepcardio
Sunday: badminton
