Hi Folks,

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have been here! I am in the last few weeks of graduate school classes. It is crunch time. I am supposed to be done with all my work in 7 days. I hope I make it!!! Send me the good vibes!!!!

Wallace I really resonated with your "thinking of food as fuel" Out of all the changes I have made on my weight loss journey, that seems to be where things have headed. I think a lot more about what my body needs instead of what I want. Although what I want sometimes wins out. That is OK too.

I have had a week or two of just not wanting to deal with it. School has taken over my life for a short time. I ordered a months worth of South Beach Diet meals that came today. I could use the support of having food already prepared. With buying cards from Costco it was only $180 dollars for the month. I will let folks know about taste and hunger once I have tried them for a few days. They are mostly frozen dinners that have taken over my entire freezer. Got back to the gym today for the first time since the week before the Super Bowl. It was great!! I am pleased with myself for exercising at home during Super Bowl Week instead of using it as an excuse to do nothing!!

Congratulations to all for hanging in there with the challenge!

flower your progress for this part of the challenge was phenomenal, very impressive for sure!!

laura thank you for responding, it sounds like you have been very busy! I posted my response on the new April Fools Day thread. Nice loss for this challenge, but especially so with travelling thrown in at the end of it! I bet most of that is just water and will wash away in the coming days!!

active Holy smokes, you are very busy, but almost there!! This will be over before you know it and it will feel SOOO good!! That is really inspiring that you worked out from home during the SB, I would have totally used that as an excuse to take it off and then I wouldn't be able to get back in the habit once the SB was over, its a good thing you are not like me!!! I also really loved wallace's food for fuel comment and then what you said about ignoring what you want most of the time to give your body what it needs, but that it is okay if the wants win out some of the time. That is something that really struck me and I will definitely keep that in the forefront when I make food choices. I hope that you join us in April Fool's thread for the next leg of this journey! ooooh and what a great idea about the south beach food. That price is really pretty good as well! Looking forward to what you think of it!

Hi Folks,

Found out I lost 10 pounds in the last 5 weeks. As I lose weight, I need to focus on keeping my blood sugar up. Since I have lost the majority of my weight, I tend to run REALLY low. Lots of fruit!!! And frequent feedings!

activ adventurer, I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago when I lost weight. At the time, I was on medication for diabetes, bp, cholesterol and when i lost 60 lbs, the doctor took me off of everything, it was the greatest feeling but I remember my sugar levels would get really low. I gained all of and then some back and am starting over. Congrats on your amazing weight loss, you are awesome.

I think folks have moved onto another challenge. I think it is over in challenges. The good new is that with my 10 pound weight loss my favorite jeans are falling off my hips.
